I've only been here twice but both times have been amazing and consistent with their quality. We ordered the cucumber ricotta toastini and their fig prosciutto & ricotta toast. The cucumber toast was so refreshing and light. The fig prosciutto toast was perfectly sweet and well balanced. The lemon ricotta that comes with it was so delicious and was a good portion. I think these are seasonal items but hope they make a return!
This is our go to breakfast place! We love that they have seasonal options- and always love to try to new food and drinks! They have plenty of gluten free options. This location is not open on Sundays but is empty with plenty of seating right when they open at 8 am!
I tried a newish menu item because they got rid of my beloved bacon grits. But I have finally found a new go to! This spinach biscuit is unreal. It's so fluffy and buttery with egg, cheese, and bacon. I'm day dreaming about this sandwich right now. 10/10!
Love this spot! Came here for brunch with a girlfriend after a walk, and it was the perfect stop. We ordered the "Juan and Only" breakfast burrito which is an egg and chorizo burrito, plus the lemon honey ricotta with bread. We also got an iced matcha and an iced vanilla latte. Everything was flavorful and hit the spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. You order and pay first, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to your table. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is friendly, and the whole experience feels easy and welcoming. I usually go to the Pleasanton location, so I was excited to try this newer spot. So glad they opened another location -- can't wait to come back for more!
Glad I stumbled upon this spot while I was in Pleasanton. It's a cute place for coffee, brunch, or a quick bite. The most ideal seating is on the patio... to me it makes the whole experience even cozier. Service was kind and the food came out surprisingly quick. They can get busy, but the line moves pretty fast. I loved their lattes and seasonal tostinis. Food quality is great because you can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. It's definitely a place I'd come back to because their dishes are proportionate and do not feel too heavy.

I was concerned about being so late and sitting inside because I didn't want to hold up the staff from cleaning up. They assured me it wouldn't be a problem and made us feel like we had time to relax and eat. They checked on us a few times and made sure everything we had was to our liking. I thought the service was exceptional!

The restaurant is always clean and parking in the mornings (around 8am) is not a problem, as other adjacent businesses are not open yet. Staff were busy working but took the time to greet me and asked about my order. Avo toast is delicious and had a perfect blend of seasonings and ingredients. Their oatmilk chai is flavorful and their oatmilk lemon bar latte is a nice twist and offered a change from my usual (matcha or chai).

We sat at a communal table until a small table opened up. Our coffee arrived very quickly. I got an oat latte with a beautiful design on it. It was great, lots of flavor, pretty smooth. DH's cappuccino was also great, but he has been spoiled by an incredible coffee place when we were on vacation, so he thought it was kind of bitter. I got the turkey pesto sandwich again, which was delicious. It's very thick, so I ate one layer at a time. Their bread is so yummy! The side salad was fresh and I loved the tangy vinaigrette. DH got a BLTE with tomato soup. How do they get the soup so creamy, lol! We ate everything, no leftovers, and were totally full. It was almost $50 before tax and tip. Seems pricey, but it's probably fine given the quality and quantity of food and inflation! Service was almost too good...they were super fast at clearing plates and cleaning tables. Overall, worth a visit if you're in the area. We hope to return to try some of their seasonal menu!

When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating in the front and the back. We like the secluded area in the back, away from the traffic. They bring your food out to you. Water and coffee refills are self serve at a station by the door. The seating area inside gets kind of loud. That's expected since it's so popular. But you can still have a conversation at your table. We've tried quite a few things here (some photos attached). My favorite is The Nordic Toastini, Acme whole wheat sourdough toast with goat cheese, arugula, tomato, salmon, and a perfectly soft boiled egg. They also make wonderful baked goods. If you come late, the selection may be limited. Go before 10 for the best selection. The really good stuff goes fast!
Came here for a quick lunch and The Press did not disappoint. Delicious, comforting food that's sourced locally and made from scratch. It was hard to grab a table but since we arrived at the tail end of service hours, we were able to nab one within 10 min. The avocado and bacon melt was incredibly filling and delicious. The avocado was soft and the pesto gave it a salty, garlicky layer. The tomato sound was sweet and not super tart, which balanced the sandwich nicely. Will def be back to try their other sandwiches!
This place is wonderful. A couple things which could make things less wonderful are parking situation and table availability. But that's good because that means they're popular and won't go anywhere. This is THE place!!!!! For one- I love the casual ambiance and having to order at the counter. What looks like a restaurant, is actually just a really nice cafe where you can study, get a quick breakfast, or hang out with your friends for hours over breakfast. The food: is absolutely scrumptious. I had the spinach biscuit sandwich and it was the most delicious breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The flaky biscuit with spinach throughout is so clever. My bf got the breakfast burrito which was loaded with protein and he enjoyed it. He also got the cinnamon toast which I didn't have a chance to try because he finished it so fast. The matcha latte fell short though. I asked how many scoops they used and they said one and a half and my matcha still tasted like oat milk. Not the vibrant green stuff. Service: everyone here is working so hard to clear plates and get you your food as fast as possible. Loved how efficient everyone was! Will def be coming back! read more
Great find on our way home. About a mile and a half off the highway. A bit hidden in shopping center, but look for white umbrellas. Ordering is done at the counter and food is brought to your table. On a Monday, late morning, there was a line outside the door, but it moved quickly. Food took a bit longer to come out, but everything was hot and fresh....very enjoyable. The menu offered a nice variety. Overall, loved this spot and would definitely return when in the area. read more

Cute and casual spot for brunch with a farm-to-table focus! They have their seasonal offerings and weekend specials like benedicts and more. You order and grab a number first then find a table, as opposed to being seated first then ordering. Busy plaza on the weekends so plan to go in circles for parking. From the outside, I would've never guessed The Press was this spacious. Food is on the pricier end for a very simple brunch menu, but the ingredients and quality definitely shine. I would come back for the weekend brunch specials and try a toastini but pass on the paninis. RECS: + Smoked salmon benedict ($21) was a lovely pairing of buttery soft salmon and flavorful hollandaise on toasted levain. I'd come back for this! PASS: + Turkey pesto panini ($17) was very anticipated but a bit of a letdown, as there was no pizazz to the sandwich. I love turkey and pesto, and I especially love Acme bread, but this just didn't hit for me. Not the biggest fan of the overpowering balsamic vinaigrette on the side salad either read more
Love coming here for brunch for a cute and cozy space to catch up with friends. They have an extensive brunch menu with a ton of delicious options, as well as an amazing drink menu! This time around, I got the seasonal pear oatmeal and graham cracker latte. Both were wonderful! The oatmeal was hearty and lightly sweetened from the pear and toasted coconut shreds. The graham cracker latte was creamy and tasted of honey and a bit of cinnamon. We ended up having to sit outside for our party of three in the afternoon because it was packed inside ): Really pleasant experience, regardless--I defo need to come more often! read more
The breakfast sandwich was fantastic! So packed full of nutrients and flavor and a generous amount of avocado. I did not enjoy the gingerbread latte, it was very bitter because of the molasses! This beautiful bowl of poached pear and cranberries with toasted coconut,pecans and other seeds was so tasty and filling. I really enjoyed my time at The Press. I ordered the golden latte and the fry up breakfast, and both were delicious and satisfying. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The overall vibe was cozy and comfy, making it a great place to relax and get some work done. Always a favorite to eat breakfast/brunch. This time we tried the seasonal Biscuit sandwich with bacon and Maple Griddle cake sammie. The biscuit was made with added spinach, nice flavor and tender crisp outside. Maple sammie was made with delicious mochi pancakes, fennel sausage and egg...yummmmo! A must add side of cheesy grits! Always friendly staff from start to taking your order to taking your completed dishes away. First time sitting in the back, very nice quiet area to sit. read more

I really enjoy the Poblano Panini they have here. It's so melty and has some really great cheese! I love that it uses four pieces of bread, which really helps the structural integrity of the sandwich. Plus the salad on the side has a great dressing! Super cute brunch spot. Place does get busy and seating could be hard to find. There is a back patio which I wasn't aware of. Inside is bright, open and welcoming. Menu had a good selection of brunch meals and I got the tomato caprese which was yummy and my friend got the tacos which she said was delicious! If you have food restrictions (cuz you're fasting) then this is a place to consider when you get hangry. I was looking for a menu with foods that are plant based and high reviews. The seating arrangements are casual & cafeteria style with tasteful rustic design throughout. Staff members seemed happy and and their attitudes definitely made up a vibe ^_^ read more
Came on a Saturday morning, and it was super busy! You have to order before you sit so I recommend looking up their menu before arriving (or they have menus available while you stand in line). The store has a few small tables/booths inside and some long shareable tables. I'd say the seating feels a bit cramped. They also don't assign tables and don't allow guests to sit until after they have ordered (ie. no reserving tables). We got the breakfast tacos and sandwich. The tacos were okay- didn't knock our socks off but they were good. They arrived a bit cold. The sandwich was really tasty, though. We would order that again. Although sandwiches don't seem hard to make, this place puts the effort into carefully including and picking ingredients that make the sandwich perfect. Food quantity is just enough to start your day. Service was good. Place was packed and we had to wait a while. You pay and order at the front table. Although the place was full, the waiters were still attentive enough. Ambiance of this place is mild to loud as there is a lot of chatter. Came here to treat my friend to a long-overdue birthday celebration--we've both been so busy, so this was a special outing. There was a bit of a line when we arrived, but the wait wasn't too bad. You order first and then find a seat. Luckily, there's a good turnover, so even though it was busy, we didn't have any trouble finding a table once we ordered. We both ordered the Caramel Latte--excellent! It had a strong coffee flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. A really solid cup of coffee. For food, we shared two entrees: * French Onion Mushroom: Made with Acme whole wheat sourdough, caramelized onion, maitake mushroom, provolone, brie, and dijonaise. Super flavorful and rich. The only downside was the bottom slice of bread was a bit soggy by the time it got to us. It also came with a side salad that had a fantastic dressing--tasted like a balsamic vinaigrette. Very tasty and balanced the richness of the sandwich nicely. * The Nordic: Smoked salmon, organic pastured egg, goat cheese, arugula, tomato, chives, and a bit of lemon and olive oil. It was fine, but not a standout for us--probably wouldn't order it again. For dessert, we had the Coffee Pecan Bread Pudding--a nice end to the meal. We originally wanted the Apple Caramel Bread, but unfortunately, they were already out. Hoping to try that next time! All in all, a solid spot with quality ingredients and a cozy vibe. Came here on a Saturday around noon -- there was a line, and it moved a bit slowly. Menus are available both outside at the entrance and inside. The process is that you place your order first, receive a table number, and only then can you grab a seat. We ordered the egg + grits and the strawberry ricotta toastini. The egg + grits were just okay -- a bit bland and could've used more salt and pepper. The strawberry toastini, on the other hand, was fresh and really tasty. Service was good, and the staff was friendly. Overall, it's a pretty popular café in Pleasanton and worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Excellent service and the breakfast was good. I ordered avocado toast. There are many choices for their avocado toast. My friend ordered the grits with bacon and eggs. He said it was really good especially with the chili crunch. I recommend this place. There is indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Does your sandwiches come at with ciabatta bread anymore? We've ordered the breakfast sandwich twice in the last month and it always comes with sourdough bread, but we never requested for it.
Hi Anne, the breakfast sammies usually come with ciabatta rolls unless we run out of ciabatta. This could possibly happen especially early in the morning when delivery is running late or later in the day if we run out of ciabatta. I’m sorry you…
Are there gluten free menu options?
We have gluten free bread to sub for any of our panini and toastini. We also have house made gluten donuts and pancakes for weekend brunch.
Is the press open for outdoor sit-down dining?
Yes! They have a limited quantity of tables due to social distancing. Get there early
What vegan options do they have?
They have many vegan options and could modify just about anything (for example, their smoked turkey Reuben sandwich they also make with beets, instead of meat- and it's fabulous!) And you've got lost of other vegan sandwiches.
Are they going to be open on MLK DAY this coming Monday January 15th?
I think you'd have to call- but I would think they might be closed. They've been closed on other holidays.
