First time coming to the Danville location, and happy we have another location that is a little bit closer to us! They have great option of breakfast items and syrups for coffee! Love trying the seasonal flavors, tried the blueberry cheesecake syrup and loved it!!

    Side patio seating!

This place continues to impress. Stopped in for my favorite Cortado this morning on my way to a meeting...and witnessed one of their amazing Baristas actually walking outside with 2 cups of coffee (in ceramic mugs) and taking them to 2 guests sitting outside at a little table on the side of Tellus! WTH?! Customer service like you actually value your customers and want them to come back! Need much more of this in the world today! LOVE this place!

Niiiiiiice I've always been a fan of Tellus' OG location in Walnut Creek, glad they've expanded to Danville :-) Great drinks, food, staff, and atmosphere. LOTUS REFRESHER: I don't know what this is but it was tasty :D Had light herbal, fruity flavors with a small kick of caffeine. VEGETARIAN EMPANADA: Fire fire!!! So flaky, buttery, and generous with the filling. Super flavorful~ My partner loved his Sweet Potato Latte. Their seasonal drinks have been hits every time we tried them. I'll definitely be swinging by when I visit my folks!

Tellus Coffee opened 3 months ago where Açaí & Bowl Cafe once was. Internal decor is flora intense. A few tables outside. Some more tables inside. Service was efficient & cordial by single barrista present. Offerings: espressos, pour overs, tea, smoothies, iced drinks, fresh juices, breakfast, empanadas. Sips: Terra pour over (16 oz. 7) black -"Sumatra dark roast, with Chocolate & earth notes" arrived 10 minutes after ordering. -no ice, creamer nor sugar added. Bold at lst sip. Enhanced by lack of fillers. Notes too nuanced to be tasted strongly. Enjoyed drink immensely. -sipped slowly over a few days. No lessening of boldness. Nice pick me up drink. Parking available post noon. 4.5 stars Worthy! Quality: very good. Beans roasted at Walnut Creek location. Quantify: reasonable.

    Now open!

I always have the best experience ever. The staff is wonderful, the coffee is consistent, and the baked goods and food are perfect. The vibes are immaculate and you just can't beat them.

Came back to give it another go since my Mom was visiting! We tried their seasonal Fall flavors. I had the iced banana bread latte with coconut milk and my mom had the sweet potato latte with coconut milk. Both were delicious! Excited to see what they will have for winter (hopefully peppermint- one of my favorites!). Also appreciated the kind gesture of the gentleman that went to the back of the bar to bring us a pup cup for my dog. When I think he overheard me wondering if they provided any.

Same coffee and some same familiar faces. I checked our their grand opening in the Livery in Danville already was already busy. It opened at 8am and there was a line out the door. It is not as large seating wise as Wc, but they have a few patio tables. Some of the same ambiance with the plants inside but very nice decor. Their tables have Coffee beans inside the actual table. The Burnt Cinnamon Latte and Americano were good. They also had lots of pastries made they made sandwiches snd smoothies. Definitely if your a fan of the Tellus brand, you have to check it out.

We had a long drive north and part off last night's pizza in the back seat. Danville was a good place to stop. There were some nice tables and chairs outside to eat. Afterward, I grabbed a pour over coffee inside. Service was pleasant and quick. Nice place.

This is the second location where there is plenty of free parking and some outside seating. They have some unique and tasty pour over coffee. I tried one of the dark roasts very good and worth the extra cost. I like independent and unique shops like Tellus highly recommended.

Danville has some really nice places that I've been visiting lately, and this is one of them. Tellus has a lovely intererior with plants lining the walls. I had a cold brew with some of their burnt cinnamon-honey syrup and a bacon croissant. She bacon crumbled and fell out of the croissant but I was easily able to scoop it off the plate and back onto the pastry. My coffee was so good and the flavor was very fall-forward I've told a few people about this spot as well!

waffles, green juice, and iced matcha latte...
    Kartika H.

first time here. place is not too big but not too small, either, with ambiance is good. it was quite packed when i went there. quality of foods and drinks for my opinion: * green juice: quite sweet for me and i can only taste the combination of spinach, celery, and a bit cucumber. the apple, pineapple, and ginger are off * iced matcha latte: also kind of sweet and seems that some of the powder not fully dissolved *waffles: it is just ok but where is the powder sugar??? * 2 egg breaky: it is ok and where is the butter for english muffin??? and suggest giving better look for the avocado and since all foods are just basic, plating is important so that boosting the appetite not asking the staffs about powder sugar and butter since lots of people were waiting and did not want to bother them but overall experience is just ok...

Chicken Empanada, Iced Vanilla Latte & Espresso
    Julia K.

3.5/5 stars Cute, small, and curvy little coffee shop with some fun jungle-like vibes. The atmosphere definitely has potential! I had an iced latte, which was pretty decent. My husband thought the espresso tasted a bit burnt, though. We also tried the empanadas, they were okay, not bad, but nothing to rave about. Overall, it feels like this place needs a bit more refinement across the board, but with some tweaks, it could become a great spot.

First time stepping into Tellus. Apparently they also have a Walnut Creek location that my husband raves about. Decided to drop in and check them out but just a heads up they do NOT take cash. Not sure why but just a heads up for my folks who prefer to pay in cash. The prices were a little high for the sizing but the coffee was pretty good. The empanadas were my favorite though! Really flavorful and that sauce only builds onto the flavor. I dropped them down a stair for pricing and sizing which I felt didn't make a lot of sense but that's just my opinion.

From the moment we walked up to the counter, the attitude was cold, irritated, and downright unfriendly. Ordering felt more like an inconvenience than a customer interaction. To top it off, nobody asked whether we wanted our food for here or to go, yet everything arrived packed in to-go containers. When we opened one of the boxes, it looked like our food had lost a fight with a tumble dryer. The presentation was so rough that we genuinely laughed because we couldn't believe it was being served that way. Good coffee and food can be forgiven for an occasional mistake, but poor customer service is much harder to overlook. Hopefully this was just an off day, because a little friendliness and a lot less attitude would go a long way.

You really can't judge a book by its cover. The inside is really cute and cozy. Not too many people when I went since it was a Monday around 10am. Just ordered an apple chausson (spelling? it's basically a French apple turnover) and a latte with an extra shot. I was still hesitant at the point of ordering because the guy behind the counter seemed a bit flustered making a couple drinks and it took almost 10 minutes to get mine. But, I am patient for good coffee, and it was great! I also recognize that this is a small business, not a Starbucks, so things operate differently. Had to check myself a little, lol. The coffee was actually so good that I didn't even need to put sugar in it and I normally always do. I am a true coffee lover and the flavor of this coffee was bold, smooth, just the right hit of acidity...not bitter at all. You can tell the beans are quality and roasted/ground fresh. The beans are clearly respected. Gotta give five stars just based on that. Staff are reserved but very pleasant. Also, the pastry was amazing flavor-wise but I think they warmed it up in the microwave as it was heated within 20 seconds and I heard the whirring/beeping of what sounded like a microwave, though she heated it in the back so I couldn't see. Unfortunately this makes a delicate pastry become soggy and the filling gets scalding hot. It would be nice if the shop could invest in a proper toaster oven similar to other cafes in order to heat pastries in a more appetizing way. Just a suggestion, but not a huge deal. I'll still come back and support this business! Thank you!

With some coffees a second cup will give me a stomach ache (especially since I drink my cold brews black and bitter like my soul), but I had no problems with their cold brews! I also got the vegan stonefruit scone (baked by Sweet Dragon) and while a little on the dry side (common with scones), paired extremely well with the coffee and had good flavor. Husband got a cappuccino and a strawberry mini pie and was extremely pleased with his order. The service is friendly, but some things may have been new on the day we went. They almost forgot my cold brew until we asked at the counter, as well as stating that they didn't have anything to heat up my husband's strawberry pie (which seems odd, since a little toaster oven seems like a simple fix for that), but apparently it was fantastic at room temperature anyway. Seating was absolutely full when we got there and we were lucky to snag a table as another couple left, so it seems like a popular Saturday morning spot. Several folks were working on laptops, and it seems like a kid-friendly place. The decor is a clean and modern/trendy industrial style, which works well for the space, and the windows provide nice daylight. Overall, a good coffee shop and I am really happy to see vegan pastry options! My husband is getting into pinball, which was part of the motivation to come out and try Chromatic, so I am sure we'll be back again next time he wants to hit up Slingshot (in the same building), and I look forward to the coffee and treats!

The seating area is quite limited for the large crowd it attracts, making the atmosphere inside feel a bit chaotic at peak times. Fortunately, the baristas are super polite and work fast, keeping the long lines moving efficiently. The coffee menu and the retail bean selection are both impressive. I decided to try a dulce de leche coffee. While I was expecting a strong caramel profile of dulce de leche, the flavor turned out to be fairly subtle rather than prominent. It added a significant sweetness, but without knowing the order beforehand, identifying the exact flavor would have been tough. That said, the coffee itself was still refreshing The high quality of the coffee bean really shone through, delivering a rich aroma and the ideal caffeine kick for a breezy morning. Great coffee beans and fast service make it worth dropping in, even if the indoor seating situation is a bit tight.
