Service is impolite. Totally perplexing. Great location, easy parking, nice decor. The ingredients are there. Staff: just not friendly. Feels like you are imposing on them to make you a coffee. Ran into a friend who shared the same sentiment before I said anything. And, they somehow did not make his coffee. After waiting politely for like ten minutes he asked about it. Did they not see the one person standing there waiting for coffee? They did not apologize for their mistake. They just made is coffee and gave it to him. My pour-over: tasted good. Ambiance was cute. However staff was not well trained. I entered the shop with my service dog. After ordering the staff asked me to wait outside. I informed the staff my dog is a service animal. And he said that he had allergies so the dog needed to leave the shop. This is not legal. And my dog is hypoallergenic. I would not return. Stopped in for my favorite Cortado this morning on my way to a meeting...and witnessed one of their amazing Baristas actually walking outside with 2 cups of coffee (in ceramic mugs) and taking them to 2 guests sitting outside at a little table on the side of Tellus! WTH?! Customer service like you actually value your customers and want them to come back! Need much more of this in the world today! LOVE this place! read more

What a great place for coffee! We went there a few days ago for the first time and immediately I loved the vibe. It felt modern-urban. My husband had a hot latte and I had the iced. Both were absolutely delicious! Wonderful coffee here. Nothing like the burnt flavor at other coffee places. And I have to say they have scrumptious quiche. I asked the employee if they made the quiche and they said no and that they get their pastries from a place in Berkeley. I will definitely be back because it was all so good. LOTUS REFRESHER: I don't know what this is but it was tasty :D Had light herbal, fruity flavors with a small kick of caffeine. VEGETARIAN EMPANADA: Fire fire!!! So flaky, buttery, and generous with the filling. Super flavorful~ My partner loved his Sweet Potato Latte. Their seasonal drinks have been hits every time we tried them. Sips: Terra pour over (16 oz. 7) black -"Sumatra dark roast, with Chocolate & earth notes" arrived 10 minutes after ordering. -no ice, creamer nor sugar added. Bold at lst sip. Enhanced by lack of fillers. Notes too nuanced to be tasted strongly. Enjoyed drink immensely. -sipped slowly over a few days. No lessening of boldness. Nice pick me up drink. Came back to give it another go since my Mom was visiting! We tried their seasonal Fall flavors. I had the iced banana bread latte with coconut milk and my mom had the sweet potato latte with coconut milk. Both were delicious! Excited to see what they will have for winter (hopefully peppermint- one of my favorites!). Same coffee and some same familiar faces. I checked our their grand opening in the Livery in Danville already was already busy. It opened at 8am and there was a line out the door. It is not as large seating wise as Wc, but they have a few patio tables. Some of the same ambiance with the plants inside but very nice decor. Their tables have Coffee beans inside the actual table. The Burnt Cinnamon Latte and Americano were good. They also had lots of pastries made they made sandwiches snd smoothies. This is the second location where there is plenty of free parking and some outside seating. They have some unique and tasty pour over coffee. I tried one of the dark roasts very good and worth the extra cost. I like independent and unique shops like Tellus highly recommended. read more

Danville has some really nice places that I've been visiting lately, and this is one of them. Tellus has a lovely intererior with plants lining the walls. I had a cold brew with some of their burnt cinnamon-honey syrup and a bacon croissant. She bacon crumbled and fell out of the croissant but I was easily able to scoop it off the plate and back onto the pastry. My coffee was so good and the flavor was very fall-forward I've told a few people about this spot as well! read more

I don't often find myself in Danville but I've had an interest to visit Tellus Coffee. Today, a relaxing Thursday, I decided to make a special trip and stop by this quaint and unique shop. Afternoons arent likely busy times but I was greeted by Nissa's warm smile. I told her it was my first time there and not familiar with their coffee blends. She suggested the Saturn roast pour-over. I got the 16oz. I should have been prepared, but I was caught off-guard and embarrased they don't accept cash. I went to my car for my wallet. When I returned, MJ rang-up my order and I left a few bucks for tip. Nissa noticed my difficulty walking and my hands were full, so she helped open the door so I could sit at the outdoor counter. It was a beautiful spot to write out a few birthday cards, resume reading "The Way of St Francis" and taking sips of some dang-good coffee. Thanks to Nissa and MJ for making my first expericence a fantastic one. Next time I'm in the area, I will certainly stop by or just make another special trip. read more

Had hot Tea and a Mocha. Nice nice greenery and welcome addition to the needed place of the Livery to walk. Roomier than wc no safe here but much needed for others have come and gone. First time stepping into Tellus. Apparently they also have a Walnut Creek location that my husband raves about. Decided to drop in and check them out but just a heads up they do NOT take cash. Not sure why but just a heads up for my folks who prefer to pay in cash. The prices were a little high for the sizing but the coffee was pretty good. The empanadas were my favorite though! Really flavorful and that sauce only builds onto the flavor. I dropped them down a stair for pricing and sizing which I felt didn't make a lot of sense but that's just my opinion. read more

The ambiance of the plant wall is lovely, the pastry and drinks are incredible, and this location has tons of outdoor space to sit in the shade, chat and snowy your afternoon! Worst Cappuccino period! Forget that it cost almost $8 for a medium which i got in a togo cup even when i asked for "here cup"! The barista was unfriendly on top of making the "cold" cappuccino!! Excited to go to a new business in our town, but pretty disappointed. I walked in and there were people standing all around. No clear sign of where to order. I didn't notice any prices until my order was rung up. I ordered an Iced decaf mocha with almond milk (like I normally get at Starbucks) and an Iced burnt honey cinnamon beverage for my friend. I pulled out cash to pay the outlandish $20.50 for 2 drinks and was abruptly told they don't accept cash. What store doesn't accept cash - pretty darned inconvenient. Anyway, onto the quality of our drinks, they were major bitter. Mine didn't taste anything close to a Mocha. My friend said her drink was super bitter as well. Both drinks went right into the trash. I sure hope things improve, because I cannot imagine them being successful if the prices are high and the quality is something to be desired. I know I won't be coming back. read more
