The room did not look particularly full - maybe our group and three-four others inside but it took 30 minutes+ after ordering to be served. Interior was your typical, clean, spacious breakfast/brunch vibe. Nothing special to note. The food itself was good. My green chilaquiles were delicious and the eggs were cooked well. The steak left some precision to be desired however in terms of the accuracy of the cook temp. First time at Crumbs in Danville after hearing about it for years, and it completely lived up to the hype. Hands down my new favorite breakfast spot in the Tri-Valley! They also have a location up in Pleasant Hill. Took an old colleague out for his birthday on a Friday. We got there a bit early on Friday to beat the rush, which was a good move because the place was packed by lunchtime. The staff was super welcoming and sat us in a great booth right away. There is also an outdoor dining area right in front too. Their menu is huge, but I had to go with my usual benchmark dish: the chicken fried steak. It came out huge, with three over-easy eggs, hash browns, and toast. Amazing gravy on top, it was delicious. My friend loved his pancakes and bacon, and the rest of the table's food (kids' plain cheeseburger with fries and French toast) looked awesome too. Big shoutout to the staff for helping me pull off a birthday surprise, too! I dropped off a cake with the host beforehand, and they brought it out at the end with a candle, played music over the speakers, and got everyone around us to sing along. It was hilarious and such a fun, special moment. Thank you! Service was super attentive, friendly, and welcoming. My coffee cup was never empty which left me fully caffeinated by the time we left. My friend and I stopped by Crumbs for a quick meal on our way to Costco in Danville and what a great stop it proved to be! It is packed on the weekends and their small parking lot can be full depending on what time you get here, but there's plenty of parking along the streets so it wasn't difficult to find a spot. We did join the Yelp Waitlist ahead of time and still had about a 15-20 minute wait which was fine. They have a few seats outside and inside for those who are waiting. The menu is extensive and it was somewhat tough to figure out exactly what I was hungry for and I ultimately settled for their country fried chicken Benedict because where else have you seen such a combo? The food came out in a timely manner and it was probably one of the rare times that I actually finished all my food. Overall, they were busy but we still got good service, food was delicious, and I'd be down to stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

This place sits right at the corner of a main road there in Danville, I'm blanking on the name right now. There's plenty of seating inside, and also ample seating outside too. Now this menu seemed insanely big. What they do is you scan the QR code with your phone camera like many places do, this one though almost has a menu of the menu of sorts. Basically first thing you see is the categories of the food options they have, then when you hit breakfast for example, they have all the different types of breakfast items. They breakdown the menu that way, simplify it really, but also with a ton to choose from. I ended up getting the chile verde omelette as it was the first time I had ever seen that. Man was it good, added a touch of hot sauce to go with it, and it came with chunks of grilled steak inside too, super grubbin. After a gorgeous hike, we headed to Crumbs in Danville The menu was a little overwhelming in a good way everything looked so good. I was really craving the half Benny crab, but they mentioned it's only available on weekdays. I don't usually do huge breakfasts, so I went with the Crumbs breakfast burrito. My three friends ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, chicken sammich, carnitas Benedict, and the chilaquiles. Portions were HUGE--we definitely didn't finish everything. I finally got to try Crumbs in person. Some food just don't travel well, so having the food just as it is served makes a lot of difference. This place is very popular, so expect a wait if you're coming during a weekend morning. They are very efficient though, and manage the waitlist well. The interior is very inviting with colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. The servers are attentive and regularly fill water glasses and coffee mugs. BTW, their coffee is really good. Their menus are on iPads, and it's very extensive. They pretty much cover all breakfast items, sandwiches, bowls, burritos, etc. It's really hard to decide with so many options, so we got some of everything. What we ordered: + California Eggs Benny - eggs Benedict with avocados and bacon with a side of hash browns. This is quite good with runny eggs and lots of toppings. Hash browns could have been crisper though. + Waffle Combo - waffles with eggs your way and bacon. Everything was really good. + Chicken and Waffles - their waffles are amazing. There's a sweetness, so maple syrup isn't necessary. The chicken was very crispy, a bit flat, but still tasted good + Crepe a la Christophe - homemade crepes with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella. Have come here many times for brunch. Great spot with lots of good options and decently priced. You can join the waitlist ahead of time to reduce the wait but they are usually very busy on the weekends. Service is usually okay but we went on a Sunday morning and it was very slow. I think they forgot one of our orders and it came out so late we had to take it to go since everyone at our table finished eating already. I've been to Crumbs a few times now, including their newer Pleasant Hill location, and I'd easily put it in my top five breakfast spots. I've had the red chilaquiles with chorizo before and they are really good with a lot of flavor and not soggy at all. Most recently I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was probably the best one I've had. At a lot of places the steak ends up being too thin or the gravy is overly salty, but this one was perfectly balanced. The meat was tender, the breading was just right, and the gravy didn't overpower everything. I definitely recommend joining the Yelp waitlist ahead of time if you're going during peak hours. Between the locations, I personally prefer the Pleasant Hill spot since parking is easier and the service has been slightly better from my experience. read more

The chorizo burrito had egg, cheese and lots of yummy flavors. I also had a whiskey coffee it was good but a little too sweet for my liking. The restaurant gets really busy during breakfast/brunch time so plan your trip and allow yourself a few more minutes to find parking. Even though on this trip they were slammed, the staff were all pleasant and welcomed everyone walking through the door with enthusiasm. They offer seating inside as well as outside. The menu is full of delicious food and on this trip I ordered the Denver omelette. It was loaded and the portion size really surprised me. You get a lot of food for the money. Everything was tasty. Orders: Caprese Pesto Toast w/added bacon- it came 2 fully loaded sourdough slices w/pesto sauce, cherry tomatoes & mozzarella cheese. They say everything taste better w/ bacon & this was definitely the case here. This would be an item I would order again. Quinoa Avocado Bowl- wanting to eat healthy I decided to give this bowl a try. It comprised of 2 eggs of your choice, avocado, black beans & quinoa w/honey dressing. Unfortunately, it was very bland & disappointing despite the honey dressing. Maybe if a balsamic dressing & tossing some oil may have helped, but I know I won't order this again. The Danville location feels more spacious compared to the one in Pleasant Hill which made our visit more comfortable. Our server Vivian was the highlight of the experience she was very accommodating, friendly and attentive. She took care of our table so well and made sure everything went smoothly. For food, I ordered the chicken and waffle, a great choice with just the right portion size. I also tried the Crepe Flight Delight. Out of the three, we didn't enjoy the lemon ricotta (the flavor was a bit off for us), while the banana flambé and crepe à la Christophe were okay but nothing outstanding. The place was almost full when I walked in at around 10.30am. Fortunately, George had already secured a table. The interior was clean, and the atmosphere was vibrant and lively. The colorful umbrellas on the ceiling were very eye-catching. The menu was extensive, with a wide array of classic Amercian favorites. I ended up getting Crumbs & All omelet while George opted for the Santa Fe omelet. We also got a couple cups of coffee. The Crumbs & All omelet had four different types of meat, mushrooms, cheese, avocado, and vegetables in it. It was absolutely delicious! The vegetable ingredients were fresh, and the meats provided delightful savoriness in every bite. The country potatoes that accompanied the dish were very good as well. We received excellent service from the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and efficient. This was my first visit to Crumbs and certainly will not be the last! I swapped out the chorizo for chicken with the breakfast burrito, yet they added bacon which caused them to have to remake it. When it came out it was just ok. Could've been assembled better. Just wasn't all the way there. Iced tea was good. The wife went with the chilaquiles and they drenched the chips with sauce making them soggy. We came based on a recommendation from a friend. It was early so seated promptly as only a delivery driver was waiting. Shortly after several regulars showed up as they just seated themselves. Staff were friendly. Very nice menu with a lot of selections to choose from. We ordered ABC, Denver omelets, and Chicken and Waffle along with two coffees and Ube latte. Omelets came quickly and 3rd dish was much later. Ube latte came after we had our food. Food was all prepared well and tasted good. There wasn't the normal follow-ups and when she did check never asked if we needed more coffee/water. Twice we had to ask for a coffee refill. This was odd as regulars tables seemed to get follow-ups and refills. Maybe need to come with my friend to get a better service level. ;) read more
