Banana pudding latte - don't get it!!
Hanh T.

Longest wait ever for the most watery and sour cup of coffee. I got the banana pudding latte and it's was literally a squeeze of Jello banana pudding mix on top of watery coffee. AND for $9.23! Had to toss it after two sips. So disappointing.

Iced strawberry matcha

This coffee shop was very cute. I've seen this place all over social media, and I've been wanting to try it for so long. I ordered the strawberry matcha, and it was really good. It had a nice, vibrant green color and wasn't overly milky, which I liked. The drink took a little while to come out, but I think the receipt didn't print for the barista. There's a decent amount of seating both inside and outside. They have lots of sweet and savory pastry options. I wanted to try the Korean cream bun because it looked enticing, but $16 seemed a bit pricey.

I've been here a few times, not just for coffee, but specifically for the Caesar salad wrap with turkey, which is surprisingly hard to find done this well. It's clearly made with care every time. I've also tried their smoothies, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The staff is always super sweet, and even though the space is small, I've never had trouble finding a spot inside or parking nearby. Definitely a place I keep coming back to.

Decaf latte with almond milk and vanilla syrup
Laura E.

Cute new coffee spot in Walnut Creek! I had a decaf almond milk latte with vanilla syrup and my friend had a flat white. Love the decorations and stuffed animals. Indoor and outdoor seating available - we sat inside at the bar. Prices were a bit high. Service was friendly. Would come back if in the area. First review of 2026!

ICED MATCHA LATTE

Took really long, expensive, and not even good. My matcha was basically white. I can't believe employees feel comfortable handing this out. Mind you, this was extra ice and cold foam, meaning there should have been less milk, therefore more concentrated.

Peanut butter pretzel chocolate chip cookie

A wonderful little coffee shop featuring an assortment of unique pastries. For someone who normally orders iced regardless of the weather, I really enjoyed their cardamom latte with oat milk. It was perfect for the cold weather. The peanut butter pretzel chocolate chip cookie was out of this world.. I do however believe that the barista should be reminded of basic hygiene and food safety standards when working especially after touching your face/beard. For that I docked a star.

Stumbled across the business while scrolling through TikTok, but came here physically while running errands in Walnut Creek. The shop is tucked away among other small businesses and parking options run along the streets of Downtown Walnut Creek. The place is well lit with a minimalist design. There are several spots to sit and relax and in my opinion this would be a nice place to catch up with a loved one or go on a coffee date. Staff here are super chill and work pretty quick -- my drink and food came out within minutes. I ordered the following: - Korean Cream Cheese Bagel (3.5/5): while this was delicious, it was left a quite heavy feeling compared to other places I've had the bagel at. I'd recommend sharing this with 1-2 other people just because it's a little overwhelming and a bit overpriced in my opinion (I've gotten this in other cities for about $5) - Iced Matcha Latte with Macadamia syrup (4/5): quality matcha with non-grainy texture and a rich flavor. The syrup added a flavor that balanced out the strong tea flavor of the matcha.

Inside of potato bun

Rounding up my experience here. Was in the area and wanted to try a new coffee place, and Ananas Coffee popped up on Yelp. Great lighting in the space, and pretty sizable as well. There's indoor and outdoor seating. There were some pastries on display, and they all looked amazing. The coffee menu was a bit hard for me to read so I went with a cappuccino and a mocha. Missed Turkish coffee, otherwise I would have tried that. They have various smoothies and such here, but the menu just didn't pop to me. For pastries, I got a potato bun ($5, meh, ok, I thought it was fine, but my son and husband really didn't like it at all), Korean cream cheese bun (holy moly at $15 lol, it was so weird in a good way- a mix of savory and sweet, slightly sugared cream cheese with garlic and herb, sort of a not so dense bagel with cream cheese mixed with garlic bread or something), and a marshmallow cookie (around $7??? - pretty standard, didn't taste $7 worth to me). Glad I tried, but wow, a bit pricey for what everything was. I feel there's some lost opportunities here as the products are great on paper, and they have amazing real estate here. Maybe I'll go back and try a smoothie and a Turkish coffee. Service itself was fine. They took my order, I paid, and they let me know when my stuff was ready. Did to go, but they also have amazing looking avocado toasts and more for actual food items.

We found this cute little cafe on Yelp! We were in the mood for coffee and breakfast. We love to try local and family owned businesses. Ananas Coffee offers indoor and outdoor seating. The patio seating is open with lush trees off the Main Street in Walnut Creek. We ordered at the counter and were served our food in a timely manner. I had to try the Turkish Coffee and wow it was a pop of energy that was amazing. This little cup of coffee enhanced with Cardamon was delicious. The avocado toast was topped with avocado smash, fresh lemon juice, micro greens , cucumber, radish and last but not least an olive oil drizzle. The perfect healthy delicious breakfast! This cute charming coffee shop also offers pastries, smoothies , juices and desserts! We will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu!

Burrata Avocado Toast

Only place in downtown WC I know that has Turkish coffee! Got a bunch of cafe items here and others you prolly won't find anywhere else in the area. Matcha tiramisu, and unique smoothies. Very quiet place, easily a spot for someone to come and do some work in

Janet N.

Really wanted to give Ananas a better rating, because I truly love supporting small businesses. Since I was in town for work, was on a mission to try as many cafes as possible in the area. Stopped in for some lattes to fuel the day, it was pretty empty in the morning and was greeted by a pleasant man. He was super friendly and gave a great recommendation of Rose Pistachio flavor to my latte. The space was clean and my drinks were made quickly. Unfortunately, the coffee did not have a strong taste in either flavor coffee or Rose Pistachio. You can see by the photo the paleness of the lattes drowned with milk. It tasted like lightly coffee flavored milk. Perhaps asking for a double shot is the way to go? Was hoping to return to try their smoothies that looked Erewhon-esque, but never returned. Easy to miss storefront. Street parking is the way to go.

BURRATA AVO TOAST

Great Burrata Avo toast, recommend ordering on your next visit here! Definitely my go to!

Iced Chai

Finally got to try Ananas Coffee, and it did not disappoint! Everyone who worked there was so incredibly friendly. Even with a few customers in front of me, I got my drink quickly. I ordered an iced chai and it was delicious. I will definitely be back to try other drinks (the matcha drinks looked great) along with the pastries. When it's warmer, there's a cute patio out front.

I ended up ordering eggs, toast, bacon, and coffee separately. The coffee was a bit stronger than my preference, but that wasn't a major issue. The bigger challenge was that the eggs were overly salty, and the bacon was much greasier than I would have liked. I also asked for ketchup and hot sauce, but never received them. The service overall was inattentive despite having three different servers throughout my visit. To be fair, the restaurant was very busy and had a full house, so it may appeal to others more than it did to me. However, based on my experience, I would not return.

Waitress was kind to bring me hot water bcuz of my lost voice I asked for Chantilly cream on the side first from waitress. It never came even tho she wrote it down. Then I asked hostess/aka owner Tammy. And it still never came out. I asked my own waitress again and she apologized for it never coming out (I thought that's why a waitress brings out your food, so they can also see if something is wrong with it before it reaches your table)-she brings me out a bowl of sour cream So I took the bowl And went to a third waitress and asked is this Chantilly cream and she says no that's sour cream So I asked for it again and another bowl of sour cream comes out Third waitress talks to owner who comes out to me and I show her on google what Chantilly cream really is and ask her to talk to her chefs about revising the menu bcuz it's misleading offering Chantilly Apparently the cream is mixed with something called Melba? A raspberry sauce...so I guess customers have not noticed the difference in the past or something...as a result, by itself, I DID notice... Anywho, no my waitresses fault, actually the fault of the chef/cook in the back. But owner shouldd know what that is before putting it on menu for people to order. But I appreciate Tammy's customer service, coming to me and talking to me about the menu sincerely and apologizing and offering to "take care of me" and my bill as I told her I would take care of her waitress despite all the mixup, for the kind gesture of bringing me in, in the beginning.

I was told I would be charged if I missied the reservation as well. Day of dinner, my party arrived at Elia 20 mins ealry and was still told they couldnt sit down. In that time the restaurant decided to let another party sit at my reserved table instead. ( Only black family in the entire building of course) after questioning the fron door person she told me shes trying to get a table and wait at the bar?! 35 mins later my family was seated. Thinking I would have an apology for the miscommunication, I had to request my own birthday desert as they gave a lit candelr and song to guest around. And yes the restaurant knew it was my birthday they even had the menus changed. We started with the crispy zucchini appetizer, which was the perfect crunchy beginning to the meal. The salad was light and refreshing, and the burrata with figs was a sweet and surprisingly delicious combination, not something I would normally order, but absolutely worth trying. For our entrée, we shared the chicken skewers with rice and salad, and it was more than enough for two girls reminiscing about our fun college days. The atmosphere and décor were vibrant and inviting, especially sitting outside on a gorgeous sunny day. Parking was easy with a nearby garage, or if you're lucky, you can grab street parking. We skipped dessert only because we had our eyes set on bundt cakes down the street, but I'm sure the desserts here are just as wonderful. This is the perfect spot for fresh food, good vibes, and a relaxing afternoon or evening. There's even a theater nearby, making it a great dinner-and-a-movie destination all within walking distance. I loved the food, the customer service was excellent, and I cannot wait to return. Thank you, Elia!
