If you are without reservations, it is worth asking if they have space. The space can be limited if you have larger group. For two people, it's relatively easier. First of all, our server was absolutely incredible. A perfect representation of the restaurant. He spoke English very well and answered all questions about the dishes. This made it very easy to decide what to get and avoid food allergies. I wish I could remember his name. He's a younger guy. Most of the dishes are uniquely flavored and delicious. They are smaller portions but really are worth the price. You are going to enjoy the experience with the smaller crowd. (I can honestly justify the cost simply with the square footage you get here compared to other restaurants in town. You get plenty of elbow room.) Plus, The chefs are really good at their jobs. Everything was perfectly cooked and well presented. The only caveat, I cannot suggest the rabbit stuffed Ravioli unless you like smoked fish. We literally walked right past the joint because it is a hole in the wall for sure. I had to walk back and forth 2 times to find it. The server was very friendly and the food selection for lunch was good. After a bit of searching, we decided to go with the special foie gras sandwich, an onion soup , and the burger of the day with of course everything topped off with a bottle of vino. The onion soup came out first which was solid and although I was a bit worried it would be too cheesy upon first glance, it was prepared well and solid. The foie gras sandwich came out next which was essentially a triple layer of foie gras in a sandwich with a salad and fries on the side. It was solid as well and they had jam on in the inside which paired the foie well. The burger came out with a sunnyside egg and cheese melted with a delicious burger patty. It was perfect after a long walk around the area and the vibe was fun with many Parisians sitting and drinking wine while discussing life. All in all, a solid place, and definitely would be back. I feel their bar vibe would be fun at night especially given its close proximity to moulin rouge and could be worth checking out.

Among the desserts, the rice pudding (another example of simple, honest-to-god, tasty food) is quite delightful; the marmalade blends very nicely with the rice pudding, and the candied hazelnuts add a pleasant crunch to the smooth, creamy rice pudding. The meringue floating island is my other favorite dessert, with its light, airy texture and its subtle sweetness. Service is courteous, gracious, solicitous even.
