I have been going to Jennifer for a year now, and my experience with her has been AMAZING. It all started when I was looking for a chiropractor for my husband and a facial specialist for myself. While searching for a spa, I came across Health by Design Family Spa clicked on their page, and saw micro-needling, which I had been interested in trying but wanted to avoid problems I have seen with it. Jennifer's reviews and the warm atmosphere of her practice looked very inviting(just by the website), so I decided to make an appointment. On the day of my facial appointment, I expressed my concerns to the aesthetician. I mentioned that I was feeling quite nervous about the treatment, as I'm not very fond of makeup, I only wear it for gatherings and church. I've also seen some interesting results from micro-needling. I asked if she could walk me through the facial step by step, show me the needles, and explain what was happening during it. Let me tell you! Jennifer is incredibly knowledgeable about skincare and what she did for my face. I have never met an esthetician with so much expertise and such a calming, spiritual demeanor. I felt amazing afterward. She did this treatment a week before my Italy trip, and my skin felt fantastic in the days following the appointment no burning or irritation at all. Italy my face felt amazing the whole time I was there. THIS IS WHY I WILL ONLY LET HER TOUCH MY FACE!!! After returning from my trip a few months later, I reached out to her because I had been so busy. I mentioned that my skin was dry, dull, and in need of hydration. We decided to try the OxyGeneo 3-in-1 Facial, and both of us could see a significant improvement, my skin had a beautiful glow (before and after photos showed such a huge difference after my facial that day). We do this facial once a month, and in the weeks in between, we have Hydrating Facials and Skin Resurfacing treatments. I've also had a back facial, which I highly recommend! I am overall very happy with my results. When I go in with my concerns for the week and feel unsure about what to do, she assesses my face and tells me exactly what I need and why. Understanding the reasoning behind her recommendations is very important to me, and she communicates this knowledge extremely well. I often brag about her, and people frequently ask what products I use. Even my husband has noticed the difference and now asks me not to wear makeup when we go out in the evenings. But wait until you get in the skincare room! It's an oasis of indulgence. The good indulgence that everyone needs. Let's talk skincare. Jennifer is extremely knowledgeable about the biology and chemistry of your skin and how different components can impact it. She took meticulous care to make sure I was being given the right treatments for my skin issues (dark spots/melasma all over my forehead and cheeks). The facial routine includes a shoulder and neck massage or reflexology on your feet. For the love of all that is holy...do the feet! She is an enchanted fairy with those hands. I would spend all day there if I could. Both my sons struggle with acne breakouts so I started taking them too. They are now hooked on facials and Miss Jennifer's foot massages. I have been seeing Dr. Cody for chiropractic care around month now. When I met him, I was literally limping and had several issues due to overworking my body with tennis and exercise. Dr Cody is truly talented and has a gift for treating people. Not only is my leg better, there have been so many improvements on lingering issues that I learned to live with over the years. He has always made me feel welcome and comfortable and has been very accommodating of my schedule. I cannot recommend him enough and now have my children going to see him as well. You cannot put a price on wellness but it is nice that he is so affordable. I have not had the opportunity to use the spa services or get a massage but the facilities are well appointed and inviting. Health by Design is a special place in every sense. I've been going to see Jennifer for 5 years now. She has done facials and micro-needling for me. My skin always feels amazing after seeing her and I know she'll be one way to help me grow old gracefully. I love the products that she uses as well. My preferences are always to lean towards more natural and she provides a nice balance. Her gifts go beyond great skin care though. She is a beautiful person, who makes you feel immediately comfortable and that she's there to take care of you. My family also sees Eric for "massages." I put that word in quotes because it's labeled a "massage" but that's not the best way to describe what he does. Eric's ability is unlike anything I've ever experienced. As someone that has Scoliosis and two rods in my back, I'm always looking for talented people that will keep my body working. That's not an easy task. Thanks to Eric, I feel better than I ever have. His technique is not about rubbing your muscles for a superficial feel good. It's about sensing how your body is functioning through blood flow, finding areas that are blocked and muscles that are sending the wrong messages to your brain. He helps remove those blocks and activate muscles that have stopped doing their job. It can be an overwhelming, emotional experience to start feeling your body move in ways you forgot it could. It's emotional to feel pain free, when you've just accepted that level of pain as your new reality. He's such a blessing to have found. I'm so thankful for Health by Design. As we prepare to say our goodbyes to my brother in-law due to cancer, I know that my sister could use a moment to breathe. I feel like I have been counting my many blessings since moving to North Dallas 4 months ago! Well, let's just add Jennifer and her home based spa Le Ravissant to that list of blessings! AMAZING! Let me tell you, Jennifer jumped way beyond the great metric. Seriously, I've had facials all over the place. I'm also an esthetician and in the interest of "good Karma"...I don't really give poor reviews regarding facial services. I only write reviews in this arena when I have something nice: good - great to say. You know that someone has to love what they do if they open up their home to treat clients. That's exactly what she's done, and it's a BEAUTIFUL home and a heavenly, warm, relaxing spa space. Jennifer is a firm believer in Dermalogica products and is really pleased with the results she sees using them. I, also, think it's a solid skin care line. She has also completed advanced education at the International Dermal Institute (they're linked with Dermalogica). Jennifer definitely has a special gift for therapeutic touch. Her facial treatment reminds me of my favorite massage therapist! I had a 1 hour Deluxe European facial, and I was SO fabulously relaxed. I left with my skin feeling slightly buzzed (in a good way) and pleasantly disoriented. I can honestly say - it might quite possibly be the BEST relaxing facial I've ever had. She extensively works the cleansers, exfoliants, serums, and moisturizers over and into the skin. She spends more time massaging the chest, neck and face than any other facialist I've experienced. She also expertly delivers foot reflexology while you're "masking". Every tiny touch is expertly calculated and executed. Not a single massaging swipe is delivered without concentration or care. This is definitely something worth noting - because many large spas have therapists that just seem to paint by number without much consideration for how those touches are being received. Personally, I think the best feature of Le Ravissant is that it's home based. Sure, that can seem a little awkward the first time you visit...but within minutes Jennifer will have you feeling like you're long time friends...you'll feel like your best friend happens to be an esthetician and you're the lucky dog that she treats in her home away from the non-sense in the "real" spa. It's actually MUCH MORE relaxing this way. Maybe I'm biased because I've worked in several spas/salons. An added highlight to being home-based, Jennifer is able to keep her prices affordable (about 1/3rd of what you might pay at most spas). I still can't believe my facial was $50 plus gratuity. That, my friends, is a STEAL. Especially, since her treatment blows some I've paid $100-200 for OUT OF THE WATER! Try this one - you will be so happy you did. read more

This was hands down the best spa I have ever been to! I had an amazing spa day that included a massage, back facial, European facial, and hand/feet reflexology. The massage left me feeling completely relaxed and refreshed and the massage therapist was amazing! My facials and reflexology were so relaxing and she does a wonderful job!
