We ordered the cheesesteak rolls to start, and I had to try the popular Bubble Bliss drink. When the drink arrived, the waitress made the experience even more exciting by infusing the bubble right on top of it. Shortly after, our appetizer arrived. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the rolls were, as we weren't quite sure what to expect from a cheesesteak roll. When our entrées arrived, every single one of us enjoyed what we ordered, so we decided to share with one another. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. At the end of our meal, I was offered a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a thoughtful touch and a great way to end the evening. Overall, this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. From the beautiful decor that's perfect for taking selfies, to the delicious food and drinks, and down to the excellent service, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It's a great spot for a date night or to celebrate a special occasion!

Not to be confused with the many gyros/burger fast-food joints all around, Mati is the real deal. I've had the pleasure of visiting Greece several times, including as recently as last year, and Mati tastes and feels like really being there. We were guilty of over-ordering because Mati had been highly recommended by friends, we had read the many solid reviews, and we found so many menu items that called out to us. We wound up ordering saganaki, fried calamari, meatballs, whole sea bass, and for dessert, the rice pudding and baklava! Yikes! We had plenty to take home, and it allowed us to sample so many beautifully prepared Mediterranean dishes. The saganaki was the classic presentation of kefalotyri cheese, brought to the table by a server who applied a flame and served it while it continued to flame. We doused the flames with the accompanying lemon wedges and treated ourselves to the soft goodness of the cheese, with pieces of the complimentary and very tasty pita bread. The pita was special, charred around the edges in a way that enhanced the bread's flavor. The calamari was exactly as I like it - perfectly crisp on the outside, yet tender and juicy on the inside. Mati serves calamari only as circles, and while I enjoy calamari that also includes the legs, these were so good that we would absolutely order them here again. The meatball appetizer consisted of four decent-sized pieces, rolled from delicious, seasoned meat, and served with an appropriate amount of light tomato sauce. The whole sea bass was outstanding. Served in a lemon-oregano vinaigrette, the perfectly tender meat slid easily off the bones and had a sensational flavor profile reminiscent of freshly caught fish. Highly recommended. The rice pudding was one of the best presentations of this classic dish that we have ever tasted. The custard was soft and smooth, and the flavor made for a pleasant ending to a terrific meal. We just didn't have any room left to try the baklava until later in the day, after we had brought it home with our leftovers. Excellent baklava. Every member of the Mati staff that we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Sam greeted us at the host desk when we first walked in, took us to our table, and made some helpful suggestions, pointing them out on the menu. Kubra and Dilon were our expert servers and could not have been friendlier, more attentive, or more helpful. They were delightful to interact with throughout the meal. We are lucky to have a new Greek restaurant nearby as good as Mati is. While not inexpensive, it is certainly fairly priced. This is an easy 5-star recommendation.

I ordered the Time is Honey which is bourbon, lemon and honey syrup. It was light and refreshing which is just what I wanted on such a hot day. We tried a few of the plates (steak sliders, chicken sliders, Bourbon apricot glazed meatballs, goat cheese bites). Our favorites were the cheese bites and the meatballs. Both sliders were pretty standard. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and modern. I plan to return for a date night, and would come back for happy hour too.

The dish was delicious and very filling. For dessert I chose the cannoli which has been my favorite. Unfortunately, this time it tasted dry and the middle of the shell was hard as a rock. The ravioli didn't taste very fresh and was actually hard to eat, which was surprising. That's usually my go-to at Italian restaurants. The margherita pizza was just okay... nothing special at all. It felt pretty basic and didn't really stand out. The restaurant was good and nice. But overall, it just wasn't the best Italian experience, and I don't see myself going back.
