What a unique wine bar in Granite Bay! I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem tucked away in a small plaza next to a spa--such a cool concept. The space has a modern, stylish vibe, and we were welcomed right away by the large wine bar at the entrance. The staff was friendly and seated us quickly. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. They offer three different wine flights, along with a wide selection of wines by the glass. The food menu leans toward small bites--charcuterie boards, cheese platters, and finger foods. I ordered a Caesar salad, but it had an overwhelming amount of shaved cheese and the dressing was a bit bland. I'd love to see more meat-based food options on the menu. Most of the wines we tried were quite good. Eve, the sommelier, was incredibly sweet and accommodating--she let us sample several wines to make sure we found something we liked. We ended up ordering a few bottles. I really enjoyed the rosé, while my friends were big fans of the "Sexual Chocolate," which you'll just have to try for yourself--it's smoky and definitely unique. There was also live music, and the performer was lovely and added to the great atmosphere. Overall, our group had a wonderful time here--great wines, good conversation, and a relaxed vibe. Went to this spot after having spa services next door at Dolce Vita Luxury Day Spa. We were done with our services at the spa before they were officially open at 3, but the owner/manager welcomed us in and got us started on wine until the kitchen was ready to serve food. We were here for office Christmas celebration and the mood was festive with Christmas decorations and music. The wine was excellent, but their food menu although small was impressive. The truffle butter appetizer should not be missed, and the spinach artichoke dip was delicious. We each had a flatbread and ended the experience with affogatos for dessert. The staff were very knowledgeable about wine and were super accommodating and friendly. Definitely the best way to finish a trip to the spa or the destination itself if you find yourself in Granite Bay! read more

DNA is a cozy wine bar with a personal selection of wines and food. I recently had the pleasure of tasting and dining during a work trip. Tuesday was their trivia night which was also amazing after a long day to share in the fun with some of the locals. I started with a white flight. They offer a small but delicious curated food menu which pairs well with their wine selections. Their flatbreads are savory and large enough to share paired with the Cesar salad. I also met their owner Paul who sat down and reviewed ports versus dessert wines a recommended one of his favorite dessert wines which was amazing. I will definitely make this place a regular stop when visiting the west coast. read more

Got invited to go to DNA wine lounge with a good friend. Luckily I said yes! Located in a strip mall in a beautiful part of Granite Bay, this is a great place to have a glass of wine and appetizers with friends. In addition there is a private upscale room that's available for hosting parties. We were greeted by Doug the owner which was a nice touch considering our usual hangout never remembers us! We stopped in last night , place had a good crowd about 30 people. Got a table Alison was amazing ! Doug brought us water to table , talked about couple wines , picked out 2 for girls and 1 for me . Had the pretzel for our starter , then ceased salad , pizza and I did the special tostada food was on point very good. I live in Roseville, and it is a bit out of the way, but completely worth it. My wife and I recently moved to this area from a wine bar, heavy region. We have tried several in Sacramento and Roseville, but have been somewhat disappointed. No longer! The food was exceptional, I would come just for the pretzel, if you're into it, definitely get the chocolate sauce. The pizza is a little bit. Thicker, but definitely goes well with the drinks. Excellent wine selection. We did the meat free cheese board and we're very happy with everything. The service was great, and friendly. What a delightful little wine bar in Granite Bay! My parents and I heard of this bar via word of mouth from some of our neighbors. Plenty of parking available. The ambience is cozy and high quality. They have a room enclosed in glass which is nice to allow for privacy if you have a larger party. There is also plenty of seating at the bar and outdoor seating. We sat at the bar and were greeted upon sitting down. Doug, the owner, was friendly to talk to. It was neat to hear about what led him to opening the wine bar. He said the reason he wanted to open was to create a welcoming neighborhood wine bar for Granite Bay that has a diverse selection of wines on their menu. Plenty of variety available to try a new varietal. Something I admire, is that they choose wineries that are family owned and operated. I ordered the Chardonnay wine flight, my mom got the Gold Crush Chardonnay, and my dad had the Massican Family White Blend. We were all very pleased with our selections. From my Chardonnay flight, my favorite was the Felino. We also ordered the goat cheese appetizer to share. We appreciated that the chef brought out some more crostinis for us to finish it. He was very kind and attentive. One thing I would like to see change in the future is a wine flight offered that includes both reds and whites, or the ability to build your own flight. Went for the first time. The flatbreads were VERY good, the house wines and samplers were similarly good. The ambiance is nice as the retail wines are all around the tables. The prices for the take out wines are competitive which is always refreshing. The service attention was good. This would be a 5 star review but for one irritating issue. They don't split checks. We were 5 couples and we all ordered different things. To not split checks in this day and age is simply unacceptable. As an aside, we frequent another similar wine bar in Rocklin and they never hesitate. In fact, when they come to our table, they just say "who is with who?". This policy impacts our interest in frequenting this establishment as this policy makes for an awkward ending to what would otherwise be a pleasant event. I sincerely hope this policy is revised soon. We love having DNA in the neighborhood. read more

Well I don't know about everybody, but the owners and staff at DNA seem to know their customers names and there's always a friendly greeting waiting for you when you visit their establishment. My lovely wife loves good wines and was thrilled to find this place. I seldom drink wine. I like a good old fashioned cold beer. I was happily surprised to see that DNA serves delicious local beers and IPAs. Their flatbread selection is small, but all are tasty and large enough to share. Finally, a fine wine place that also has beer! In my opinion, the thing that really makes this place special are the people working there. There were two behind the bar, clearly working together facing the wines, backs completely to the guest (this was early evening, @6pm Friday). At least one should have frequently been doing a visual scan of guests (especially those seated RIGHT THERE at the bar) to see if they wanted a refill, or their check.
