A Memorable Solo Dinner at Le Train Bleu, Paris
I had the pleasure of dining solo at Le Train Bleu in Paris, and it was an unforgettable experience. Housed in the stunningly ornate setting of Gare de Lyon, the restaurant's opulent Belle Époque decor set the stage for a truly special evening.
For my meal, I started with the asparagus entrée, expertly prepared tableside with a flourish that made it as much a performance as a dish--fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The main course, a leg of lamb carved at the table, was a highlight; tender, succulent, and paired with exquisite sides that elevated the dish to perfection. To finish, the crêpe Suzette, flambéed tableside, was a spectacular finale--sweet, tangy, and prepared with such flair that it felt like a personal show.
The service was impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive, making me feel completely at ease as a solo diner. Every dish was executed flawlessly, and the tableside preparations added a touch of theater that made the evening truly memorable. Le Train Bleu is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of culinary excellence and Parisian grandeur. Highly recommend!
