This is an update to a previous 5 star review for Dependable Pre-owned Cars, more specifically…read moreBrent Kinney. We purchase 2 vehicles from them. We also purchased an additional warranty plan, which we canceled within the cancelation period due to multiple factors. The cancelation was official on April 15, 2020, however it took until August for our return to be released from the warranty company. That wouldn't have been a problem, however Brent cashed that refund check on Aug 4, 2020 and never gave it to us. My husband and I have spent countless hours texting, calling, emailing Brent to refund us the money. The last time we spoke to him he sent $150 and promised to send the remaining $515 on the Monday (2 days away), which he never did. Now he is MIA again. He spent a lot of time using phrases like 'to be honest' while apologizing for taking so long and ignoring us, but he has not made right of the situation yet. It has been over a year since cancellation! At this point, I will have to file a small claims case in our county to get the refund back.

My service agent was amazing, she listened to all of my service issues, noted them and provided me with an eta on diagnosis. My agent (DeJ C.)followed up with me with the findings and recommendations and was just amazing! I believe my mechanic was (Faus-my apologies if I am mispronouncing names), but I felt confident in the service that I received at this location and will revisit in the future for my service needs. At the end of it all, my visit was less than 2 hours and I walked away a satisfied customer. Thank you for restoring my trust in Carmax.

I purchased a vehicle from this location in May 2025 and within the first week I had an issue with…read morethe vehicle overheating. Service did not have any appointments within weeks, and I had to take it to the dealership for repairs. Then just a few months later, the transmission completely failed and the catalytic converter needs replacing among other repairs. The repair estimate is over $26,000, which is more than the car's value. I contacted the service department, and the only "help" offered was to look at the car free of charge. No assistance, no accountability, no solution. I bought from CarMax because I believed in their reputation for quality and transparency. A transmission failure this soon after purchase clearly indicates that the car was not in roadworthy condition at the time of sale. I still have all documentation, including repair estimates, and I am now pursuing legal action under Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act for selling a defective vehicle and failing to resolve the issue in good faith. I am asking corporate CarMax to review this case immediately and contact me to make this right. This has been a deeply frustrating and costly experience, and I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle here until they take responsibility for situations like mine.

I was 1500K miles over the warranty but he said they'd check to see if they could do a "good will" repair. Brought by car back 2 days later to be serviced. They gave us a ride to Enterprise down the street where they have an agreement with them. Received a video the next morning of the technician telling me other things that needed to be addressed. Matt McCoy called later that afternoon to go over what all needed to be done. He also informed me that the catalytic converter would be covered under the warranty. My car was ready the next day. My experience with them was a very positive one!! Not only were they courteous and professional, they communicated with me at all times. Thanks Matt and everyone else at Hyundai of Kennesaw. Highly recommend!

I purchased two vehicles from Hyundai of Kennesaw between December 2025 and July 2026…read more Unfortunately, both transactions involved significant delays and issues with the processing of my registration and license plates. For the first vehicle, I did not receive my registration and plate until 92 days after the date of sale. After 55 days, Hyundai of Kennesaw instructed me to go to the tag office myself to obtain my registration. When I did so, I was informed that the title had not been submitted and I could not register the vehicle. Hyundai of Kennesaw subsequently issued a second Temporary Operating Permit, and I ultimately received my plate 92 days after purchase. The second vehicle presented similar issues. Thirty-two days after the sale, Hyundai of Kennesaw contacted me to advise that they were missing documentation required to complete the registration. I provided the requested documents the same day. When I requested a second Temporary Operating Permit, my request was denied and I was again instructed to go to the tag office myself. I did so, and 52 days after the date of sale, I finally obtained my registration and plate. I contacted Hyundai of Kennesaw multiple times throughout both processes and was repeatedly told they were doing what they could. I also requested contact information for the sales manager and/or general manager so I could address the matter directly. That request was ignored. When I called and specifically asked to speak with the general manager, I was denied and transferred to the sales manager's voicemail. I left a detailed message and never received a response. My primary concern is not simply the inconvenience, but the lack of attention given to the issue despite the $899.00 in document fees I paid for each vehicle. I paid the dealership to process my registration and title paperwork, yet the dealership failed to do so in a timely manner, as required under the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act. In the case of the second vehicle, I was forced to personally visit the tag office and incur additional time and expense to complete a process for which I had already paid the dealership. Despite this, Hyundai of Kennesaw offered only $20 in compensation for the fees and expenses associated with obtaining my registration and plate myself. Given the circumstances, I believe the response from Hyundai of Kennesaw is inadequate and does not reasonably reflect the inconvenience, additional expense, and failure to provide the registration services for which I was charged.
