The dentist and the dental assistants are amazing people, they can do the correct and efficient work on your teeth, and provide proper advice. I know the dentist personally outside of work and he is an amazing and fantastic person. It is the front office desk that prevents this review from receiving two more stars. The issue is that, if you have an out of network provider, sometimes they do not submit claims, they are behind on submitting claims, or provide false information. I've had issues where I was told my account had no balance in it and suddenly I am mailed a bill where my account actually had a bill numbering in the hundreds. Sometimes when I'm on the phone trying to figure this out via phone line, the office workers are quick to hang up and get the call over. Resulting in premature hang ups and repeated phone calls. Don't let this review turn you off from attending this office. The dentistry may have started to changed because they recently changed Dentist since the last year, I have moved dental office due to my insurance changing. Hope future patients receive better care and front office treatment than me. read more

Not only are the through, friendly, honest and provide excellent service they are very accommodating to our insurance. The cleanings are very detailed and complete. He's very thorough and is willing to take the time to explain your treatment. For example, he took the time today to explain to me on how I should properly brush my upper teeth, so it does not cause aggravation with my gums. I Iearned something new today. I don't know about you, but I get anxious when I have to see a doctor or a dentist. I had an appointment with Dr. Yogi for a 6th month cleaning as a new patient. My old office in SImi was sold and I was looking for somewhere closer to my house. I advised him at the onset that I already had been charged for X-rays at an invisalign consult at another dental office and would not be covered for X-ray during this appointment and was declining the X-ray. Dr. Yogi assured me that I would not be billed out of pocket for the X-rays and he would do them anyway. Of course, I was billed $126.00 for the X-rays. I called and left a voicemail during business hours at 818-368-6694 which is the number for billing issues provided on the invoice. My call was not returned and they have sent me another bill for the X-rays. TERRIBLE form by this office. I will not pay this bill as I was either LIED to by Dr. Yogi or am a victim of the inept office staff. There are MANY other dental offices in the SFV, I suggest anywhere other than here. read more

I rolled the dice and went to Leading Edge Dental and let me say it was a magical experience. That's why I'm writing this review. Dr Lee and his staff are Pros. There's a clean, fresh feel to the office and Dr Lee's work is the best you'll find. I joke with people and say, "It's Beverly Hills in Granada Hills. But without the silly prices or stuffy attitudes." I have been blessed with the sensitive teeth & gum gene. I have a lot of cosmetic work and not just anyone can work on me and produce long lasting results that look great. Which is why I can tell you after spending obscene amounts of money over the years at other Dentists, I've finally found the right Dentist. Dr Lee is honest and will tell you what you can expect (or not) and will always strive to do his best without any pain. By the way, why have all the other Dentists been so painful? A good dentist is worth the drive! When my kids were younger, they were deathly afraid of the dentist. But then again, what kids aren't deathly afraid of the dentist? We tried several dentists over several years, and boy, each trip to the dentist was another reminder of how loud they could scream, and how hard they could wiggle. For my second son, at the advice of a previous dentist, we put him under general anesthesia so that they could do some work. He was about 4 at the time. And boy, it was tough going through that. So, anyway, we eventually found Dr. Lee (he was at a different location at that time). My kids have never cried once with Dr. Lee. So, I've been taking them there for a little over 10 years now! I live in West LA, and going to the dentist up in the Valley is tough, so initially, I only had the kids go see him. But everytime we went up, we saw the friendly staff, the professional setup, and Dr. Lee's ease with his patients, and eventually, the entire family switched over. Now, Dr. Lee is in his new location on Chatsworth St. They were always patient-friendly, but you can see that they've now had a chance to apply this principle in the layout of the design. Cartoon for kids, soothing music for adults, modern equipment, everything is spotless, they don't make you wait hours for your appointment, they accomodate Saturday schedules, etc... But at the end of the day, I highly recommend Dr. Lee for the fact that he is a caring dentist. He takes a cautious approach, is helpful with suggestions, never pushy, mindful of your comfort, and the actual torture part (e.g. dentistry) is always easier that I anticipate going in. And after 10 years between the 5 members of our family, we've had a couple of extractions, coordinated braces for 4 of us, dozens of cavities, etc... I couldn't have asked for anything to have been done differently. We've recommended him to a couple of friends and coworkers near West LA, but the drive is definitely a barrier for some. But, if you happen to live nearby, I highly recommend Dr. Lee! read more

I have been Dr. Lee's patient since 2001 when this office was located in Mission Hills. At that time, I got some cavities filled. From that point on, I have been visiting his office twice a year just to get my teeth cleaned and x-rays by sweet Geraldine. Sixteen years later, which was today, I went back because my fillings were a little too old and needed to be replaced. He does a great job, couldn't believe it had been that long! Dr. Lee has been my sons (ages 10 and 13 years old) only dentist. Glad to say they both don't have any cavities. All he did at a young age was put some kind of sealer to prevent their teeth from getting cavities in the long run. I highly recommend this place. It is a very clean place, the staff is kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. My boys are getting older, but they loved going as little kids because he has a treasure box with toys for kids to get after they were done with their cleaning. I was previously a patient of Dr. David Astrachan (located in Encino, CA.) for nearly 30 years. After I was laid off and w/o benefits I kindly asked if he would "negotiate" an out of pocket routine cleaning. He said no...so I took my business elsewhere. I found Dr. Lee through a Yelp search and remembered I have been driving by his office for the past few years(as I live in the area). At my first visit he took measurements of all of my gums and even took the time to find out about my sleeping habits and diet. How amazzzzing is that? I liked my first two services here however today I am disappointed the doctor wanted to ensure that I get my old amalgam fillings fixed on my next visit this was discussed with reception and a cleaning and filling was scheduled for my next apt same day forward 6 months today and I'm told unfortunately they can't do both in the same day. I'm having tooth pain now and the dr did state it needed to be done but somehow he's not available. Even though this was agreed upon previously. I feel let down. I thought I found a great dentist. Sadly hassles like these waiting six months is not ok. I was given no further explanation until I left and called for my records I explained to the unapologetic receptionist that I was Told both services were ok due to my schedule. She said simply we called you. I checked my call logs they called me on the 22cnd and asked me to call them When I got my text to confirm appointment I believed everything was ok. Here's the kicker; the dentist is at a conference, conferences do not happen overnight everyone knows that business conferences and medical/dental conferences especially are booked well in advance. A caring practice would have looked at all of their appointments during that week and notified their clients well in advance to make other arrangements and re prioritize their schedule. When will these practices realize their patients provide them the ability to afford larger expenses and the ability to travel? Respecting your patients time is just as important as being a good dentist surgeon or doctor. read more

The staff is great very friendly very clean unfortunately it is now going on a month I am still waiting for the right up of all the work that I need after paying for full mouth x-ray it's an exam and evaluation I have spoken to Dr Yogi he said he would work on it and I'm still waiting they also refer you to another doctor and Encino and the little referral is about 190 dollars just to hear the same thing they have already told you. Leading Edge has a very approachable and understanding staff. I really appreciate that they will try their best to get you an appointment that works for you. My daughter of 6 had a tooth infection and an extraction. The staff took the time to explain costs, insurance, appointment, and I even received a call from the Dr. Lee since Dad was present at the visit while I was at work. Dr. Lee explained to me why there was a need to remove the teeth and how to care for my daughter after the extraction. I left work feeling at peace that my daughter received careful attention and care. I only give 4 stars and not 5 because the first time he saw my daughter Dr. Lee came in and didn't even acknowledge her. However, I have to say, not everyone will have a sweet demeanor and I respect that he is straight forward. Every time we come in they are so kind to my 1 year old daughter- She absolutely loves them, and they adore her. I have since referred 3 people to this office and they are all in love. Dr. Lee has been so flexible with appointments, getting everyone an appointment in a timely manner; and responding to emails immediately. I can't tell you enough how easy it is to contact this office. They are extremely responsive and so friendly.
