I found my experience at Porter Ranch studios a "Real Pleasure". My many years long Dentist (Dr. Bosch) retired? Which I am glad for him to live out his life in peace and happiness. But now I have a problem? Who will treat my Family for dental work? We have gone to dentists in the past who (IMO) were just terrible, not for me, not for my Family. So when I decided to follow up on a suggestion from Dr. Bosch, and took my son to Porter Ranch studios for a broken tooth and check up, all was good, even "Very Good". My daughter has been in for a check-up and a cleaning, also a "great experience". I am a retired State Employee and have been to Porter Ranch studios several times for more serious dental work, which went without pain, without any problems, and I am pleased, impressed! Yes, I am so happy about their work. I have found Dr. Alex Dolgov and Dr. Thu Hoang to be hard working, serious professionals. They make every effort to work safely, and keep you healthy and comfortable. They are bright doctors, with a brite demeanor, very pleasant, and they use hi-tech gear as well. I found the hygienist to be pleasant, who worked on me without discomfort :). The office and their staff is nice, friendly and cozy, everything is very clean, good coffee too. Their scheduling goes smoothly with email / text reminders. They accept my insurance, and I have not been overcharged. I feel like they are very fair and trustworthy. If you need a dentist office you can count on, I know it is a difficult decision to make; well I highly recommend these guys, give them a try? I had been searching for a new dental practice close to home but also one I could trust. The care and quality I have received here has been 1000/10! From the front desk receptionist to the hygienist and doctors, everyone has been so wonderful. The office space and dental areas are always clean. The reception area offers coffee, water and snacks with a comfortable seating and TV. On my first visit I got my x-rays done and a regular teeth cleaning. I came back for a deep cleaning and the service was amazing. I was so nervous because it was my first getting a deep cleaning but the Dr. made me feel comfortable the entire process. They even called me and followed up with to see how I was feeling after. There is plenty of free parking which is a plus for me. I have recommended them to my friends and family. Highly recommend for all of your dental needs! Both Doctors are highly skilled dentists with the latest technologies. They can do a root canal and have your crown ready and placed on your tooth all in one visit, which in and of itself is mind blowing to me. But more importantly they do good work and they are trustworthy which I think is hard to come by these day especially in the dental field when it comes to either doctors not treating patients fairly, ethically, along with not standing behind their extremely expensive work. Beautiful office and state of the art equipment plus caring dentistry by two dentists.

Billing practices are borderline predatory. They provide very generic estimates for procedures which they do not guarantee apparently. Once they creat their claim with your insurance, then you discover your exact cost. Furthermore, they DO NOT disclose that you have to request an actual pre approval from your insurance company to determine the actual costs of the procedure. They also DO NOT take accountability for this shady billing practice! I have NEVER experienced this is all of my years of going to the dentist. If anything, I end up paying slightly less. Will not be returning. Staff seemed nice and professional but after this I feel extremely mislead. Lastly, whomever responds to these posts, please don't patronize me with the fake apologize and care to do better. Worst experience with Dental Administration I've ever had. Was given a gift certificate by an existing patient to try out their offices, so I made an appointment and told them I was only able to afford a cleaning. Nothing else. I was then told to consider X-rays, I said I could not afford it, but that I would consider. When I arrived, I was told that I had no choice but to do an exam. Yes, I actually used the word Pleasant describing a dentist office... Hard to believe! I got a cleaning before I see Dr. Phan, I used to hate cleaning but the hygienist was so gentle I hardly had any pain at all. I'm not too sure how Dr. Phan and his staff do it. I thought I'd need sedation in order to get over my fears, but I got through a filling here with no Novocain at all. I was completely at ease. I used to avoid the dentist for years, but now I actually don't mind going to the dentist..... I feel absolutely no anxiety coming here at all, which is shocking since the thought of going to the dentist used to keep me up all night in fears. Another bad experience with supplementary surprise bills. I do understand that I am responsible as a consumer to stay up-to-date with insurance coverages, etc. however, billing me up front and then billing the insurance is not okay. I also understand that the fees presented during consultation are estimates, which is the reason why billing the insurance and then collecting the difference after confirming coverages-- is the correct procedure. Bottom line: You can charge whatever you want for your services, again, I guess I understand that now after learning the hard way. But, $100 for an antibiotic that only costs $5-10 at other facilities is just wrong! No, thank you! read more

A friend referred me to Dr. Phan's office and I couldn't be happier! When I arrived, his friendly and professional team made me feel welcome and helped me fill out my paperwork electronically. For my cleaning, the terrific hygienist walked me through everything, explaining to me what she found and how I could improve. Never again!! After being a long time loyal customer I had a terrible experience with Dr. Pham that was a 6 week nightmare of missed diagnosis and constant abuse financially, he offered discounts after bungling my procedures and my insurance not covering any more of it.Had he listened to my initial complaints of pain he would of saved me money and discomfort. He installed a dual crown over two teeth that I complained were in severe pain, he said his x-rays and evaluation showed no problems, after 2 weeks with the crown the pain was so intense even pain killers were useless, he drilled through the new crown and told me I needed a root canal, then 2 weeks later same problem with the other tooth,he now tells me another root canal, now I have a crown with two holes filled in, and some discomfort still, I am visiting another dentist to see what remedy I have, I felt like not paying the 2800 dollar bill but I am very responsible and paid in full. Dr Pham is a very good dentist! I have been here several times and always like the atmostphere at this office. (Except one time, a young hygenist treated me like a kid and had no sense of humor..... Well, maybe it was tough at first for beginners to look in people's mouths for hours and say "I love my job".) Recently my tooth was aching on and off. I had gone to 2 different dentists, one said I needed a root canal, one said I needed to remove it. Until I came to dr Pham, he found out that I had sinus infection. So after finishing my antibiotics, I'm so happy that the toothache is gone and I can enjoy my food again. Also, he noticed that I had TMJ and recommended a night guard. I have been to more than ten dental offices since I was a kid, and no one ever noticed that. I even brought it up once but received no answer, and I never knew what to do. I'm so glad that I came here this time. Otherwise, no one would tell me and I might end up with more serious problems later on. read more
