If you are thinking of making an appointment here, you MUST ask for Inga as your dental hygienist. She has over 30 years of experience and is great at keeping me calm (I get nervous in the chair due to my previous dental history, so she takes the time to explain everything about what she is doing beforehand). Their office staff is professional, friendly, honest, and educational. Additionally, the rooms and waiting room are clean and thoughtfully decorated with artwork and a beautiful fish tank. 1/30/2025 - Yuliana did my last quadrant (lower left) deep cleaning this morning and explained to me that I only need to receive one injection at my back of the quadrant to numb the whole quadrant because LL quadrant has only one nerve system while two top quadrants have two or three nerve systems. As a result, two or three injections will be needed to perform one quadrant deep cleaning at two top quadrants. She also discovered one hidden tooth cavity during my cleaning window. The doctor verified it is truth. Please note my full mouth X-Ray had been taken by five dentists, including two top Root Canal specialists and two top dentists in 2023 and 2024, respectfully, including a regular annual tooth exam after a regular X-Ray taken. Thank you Yuliana for your job well done, especially I liked you had used the dentalvibe device while injecting local anesthetic into my gums, which resulted no pain feeling at all in my last visit on 1/13/2025 Wish list: Make sure the dentalvibe device will be available all the time since it was missing when Yuliana wanted to use it this morning. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!! Extremely long wait time, unprofessional receptionists and unhygienic. I scheduled an appointment for my brother, had to take him out of school early for this appointment, he had to miss classes!!!! the appointment was at 2, and they told me I have to wait 30 minutes before I get in. After 35 minutes I asked to cancel the appointment and the future ones I have. No "we're sorry", no apology and no eye contact, no manners whatsoever. Additionally, in my last appointment there were hidden charges that were only disclosed once I physically arrived for the appointment, and that's after I explicitly asked the receptionist over phone about what EXACTLY I have to pay, she even sent me an email with all the details, only for me to show up and for the receptionist to say "oops". EXTREMELY disappointing and unprofessional!!! The office itself is also not very clean, when I was sat at the examination chair during my first appointment there was a cup with lipstick stain on it from a previous patient. How disgusting. Will not come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I encourage anyone with integrity to find a better dentist office. A HARD PASS!!! Horrible shady practices. They will actually hurt you in the process of trying to make money off of you. The quality of care is very questionable because the way they conduct their work is not very professional. Be it cleaning or filling, they pass to one another, pretending they don't recognize their colleagues' work but collectively be trying to rip you off, all the meanwhile only fixing their own mistakes. I hate the dentist. I do, I've hated it since I was a child, I used to sit in the chair with tears streaming down my face because I hated it so much. I hated it so very much I didn't go to the dentist for six years, which had predictable consequences on the health of my teeth. I started going to Mid Valley last year, and since then, while I sure wouldn't say I like the dentist, I do genuinely enjoy the time I spend here. The front office staff is kind, they send a significant amounts of reminders for upcoming appointments, and promptly respond to phone calls and emails. The dentistry team is excellent, Dr. Kayla typically handles my appointments but Dr. Terrence has also examined me and was equally kind, easy to understand, and respectful. Yuli (I'm not sure how to spell this name- sorry if it's wrong!) is genuinely the Michael Jordan of dental hygienists, I've never had one that takes such care and causes such little pain while thoroughly and quickly cleaning my teeth. I just had my root canal done at Mid Valley Dental Care. Dr. Lau did a great job with my tooth. They have state of the art equipments, and the facility is top notch. It was really cool to see how Dr. Lau numbed my tooth. He has this vibrating device where he puts it in your mouth to numbed your gum. It was easy and painless. I don't really like posting negative reviews and wanted to wait awhile after I left this practice for a way better dental office before writing this. They are fine in terms of your basic dental care (cleaning, deep scaling, etc.), but what I hated and eventually left them is that they kept doing unnecessary x-rays every time I would come for a cleaning, and then to keep upselling me procedures that I knew weren't needed. I am the kind of patient that flosses every day and use an electric toothbrush so I know my teeth are good compared to others who don't take as good a care of their teeth. When I would say something about it and ask what for, they'd come up with all kinds of reasons as to why I had to have these things done. I must've spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket besides their charging my Delta Dental PPO insurance. Now my new dentist never does any of these extra procedures, which just verifies my gut instincts about feeling scammed. They hired a new dentist (relative), and wanted to move to nicer offices, which I think made them want to keep upselling to their customers. Sorry, but this is my honest opinion. read more

Far and beyond Midvalley Dental care is the best dental practice I've ever been to. All the doctors there are caring, attentive, and they explain every little thing to me. I am very informed so I appreciate the time they take to explain every detail to me. I go every four months for a cleaning, and I see Angela or Natalie, and they are so friendly and gentle with my sensitive teeth. They're good dentists. But they are all about the upsell. I was quoted upwards of around $5,000 worth of dental work and like 5 cavities. They even tried to upgrade me to a deep cleaning when I was in the chair getting ready for a regular cleaning. I got a second opinion from an honest dentist and was told I was fine. Some decay sure, but no cavities. No need for a deep cleaning. I guess Miid Valley has to pay for their fancy new office. My advice is to get a second opinion before you allow these people to drill into your pocketbook. read more

Very professional staff and doctors but my experience wasn't so well. The doctor did 3 fillings. In about 1 year one of the fillings came out that the doctor did. Also during my appointment, the doctor left me for 5 mins to help another patient while my fillings were getting done. 1 year after, the front tooth that the doctor did ended up having a nerve damage. I think it happened when the doctor left me and I ended up with nerve exposure. I also had to pay around $200 out of my pocket. I want my refund but its been a couple years, I dont think they'll reconsider giving my money back. Maybe reconsider going to another dentist. read more

I've been sitting on this review for a few months. I hate to be a negative person and I just thought maybe I was wrong, but I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. I went in for a cleaning and ended up doing 2 root canals. While waiting for the crowns, which took longer than they said, I had to keep going back because the temporaries they provided would break, were jagged and didn't sit right. The crowns finally come in, late, and they don't fit. So back to the temporary while I wait a few more weeks for the fix. This was my experience months ago. Recently I've had some pain in the tooth they did the root canal on?!? How is this possible?! I don't know, but I don't trust them enough to go back to them! Finally, the final straw, after I made my payments in full to them for the agreed price, they charged my card without my authorization for an additional amount. I called and they said this was the unpaid balance from insurance, which I kinda get, but what I don't get is how they think it's ok to charge someone's card without their authorization! I'm what you would consider a heavy teeth grinder and grounded my teeth so much that the dentin was showing; that sensitive part within the tooth, yeah that was all exposed when it wasn't supposed to. My only option was to get crowns on every tooth so I visited several dentists around LA but they were charging a ridiculous amount and didn't seem to care about my well-being. I was referred to Dr Terry Lau and truth be told, I was hesitant to make the hour long drive to see him but decided I might as well. He sat down with me, explained to me my symptoms, what caused it, and how to prevent it. He literally answered all my questions and on top of that, the price was way more affordable compared to those LA practices. I did a full mouth restoration procedure and installed crowns on every single tooth. It was expensive but holy hell, it was worth every single penny. It's been a year since I've had them done and I still get compliments from friends and clients about my teeth; I've never had that happen before. To this day, I still visit for routing cleaning and TMJ Botox injections for my strong bite. Amazing experience! I was referred by a friend after putting off dental care for a long time. After an initial visit, I learned that I had a pretty bad tooth infection that needed immediate attention. All details were explained carefully and professionally, along with different options for treatment. Before and especially after the procedure, I was amazed at the incredible communication directly with my new dentist. I've been with this dental group for about 5 years. Long wait times while sitting in the chair sometimes needing extra numbing shots. SUPER EXPENSIVE. Seem to only care about the money. Be careful if you give them your credit card info as they'll charge you without telling you. At least give the costumer a courtesy call before you charge hundreds of dollars of the balance. A crown cost me around $2800 (if you think I'm fibbing check it out for yourself) where as another dental group charged my only a few hundred dollars. Wow Beware.
