When Jessica looked at my hair, she noticed a lot of random short layers throughout that didn't really make sense (which I didn't even realize at first because it wasn't super obvious). She took the time to fix my side bangs and blend everything properly, and my hair looks so much better now. She also did my partner's hair and really listened to the inspiration we showed her. Jessica doesn't rush her work at all she takes her time and really polishes everything toward the end so it looks just right. The lounge itself is clean, cozy, and has a really welcoming vibe. We were lucky to get an early appointment, but I can see why she gets booked quickly, so I definitely recommend scheduling ahead. Highly recommend Jessica. The salon was easy to find, parking was fairly easy, my appointment was on a Monday morning at 9. After spending more than 6 hours in the chair, I left with hair that looked completely different from the videos I provided. She even acknowledged that the final result was not what I had originally requested. What concerned me was that throughout the appointment, she repeatedly consulted another stylist on how to approach my hair. While there is nothing wrong with asking for a second opinion, it left me questioning whether she was fully confident in performing the look i had asked for. Had she been upfront from the beginning about not feeling comfortable or experienced enough to achieve the look I wanted, I would have appreciated that honesty and made a different decision before committing to the service. However, because she felt the color "looked good" by her standards, she believed I should have to pay full payment. I expressed my disappointment as I would now need to pay another stylist to correct the color and achieve the look I originally requested but no accommodation was offered other than "I can give you the color formulas I mixed." Overall, this experience was frustrating because I invested significant time and money, communicated my expectations clearly, and still left with hair I didn't like and no meaningful effort to make things right. While she may have been satisfied with the final result, client satisfaction should matter just as much.

My friends have gotten their curly hair cuts even before the diva and curly hair cuts were popular on social media. So I finally reached out and booked with Calise. She is so bubbly and comforting and makes you feel comfortable with her years of experience. I scheduled in advance for a Saturday appointment. The Tease Beauty Lounge was easy to find within a shopping center and has plenty of parking. Very nice and spacious and clean and sleek inside. She washed and conditioned my hair, was able to cut my hair and then was able to style my natural curly hair within an hour and wasn't too expensive. I can't wait to come back and see how my natural curls grow out!
