Trying to keep this brief for my own time. From January to March I was supposed to spend 160 a month on pool cleaning, but pool was still dirty. So they charged an additional 120 in February for extra chemicals because I had a difficult pool. But end of March pool had a lot of algae and looked like it wasn't even being brushed. They wanted another $360 in more chemicals. This would bring my YTD to $960, averaging $320 a month instead of the agreed $160 per month, but the big problem was pool was dirty! I'm not paying 320 a month to have a green pool. Maybe if the pool was clean and they came to me asking to adjust the rate that would work. But I can't keep paying extra fees to have a dirty pool. The pool was so bad my new pool service had to charge an extra fee to get the pool started. They couldn't believe I had an active pool service. La pool guys had in fact been there earlier that week. Oh I forgot they did a filter cleaning duirng this time which I requested because pool flow was getting low. After the filter clean, pool flow was still low and pressure was at 20. They told me that's normal. Had to pay another service to come out. They cleaned it and got pressure down to 10 and a good flow. They said it looked like no cleaning was done. So add that to the money wasted this year. Other problems: They skipped cleanings without letting me know (holidays, rainy day, etc.) Only when I noticed the pool was dirty and asked about it, they would confirm they skipped last week. I need to be told when skipping weeks so I can clean the pool myself or make alternative arrangements. Requested service for an equipment issue. Their tech came and went and said they fixed it, but checked it and nothing was done and the same problem existed. Had to call a different pool service for repair and wasted time

He provided us a with a viable solution and quote to fiberglass our 40-year-old plaster pool. It should be noted that SBPFR quoted against six other pool repair providers. Our decision to select SBPFR was based on numerous criteria, and they were judged to be the best option. We were right and delighted with this selection! Demolition work began on time, including draining the pool, covering our gazebo to minimize dust and removal of all the old tile. Leading up to the beginning and during the entire project, Miguel kept us up to date with the progress--excellent and timely communications all along the way. The entire project from draining the pool, to all the fiberglass and tile refinishing work took exactly one week plus one day, from start to a full pool. Also included in the project was 'new' pool startup services. We are fully satisfied and delighted with our 'new' pool and relationship with SBPFR! Thank you A to Z Pool (Albert and your awesome crew), this review is a token of our appreciation. Why you should consider A to Z Pool Replastering for your pool remodel needs? They simply beat their competitors in many ways: 1. They keep their overheads minimal in order to offer lower estimates. When I yelped, they did not appear immediately on the top of our search. It takes a little bit of scrolling down. Please be aware, Yelp gets paid for businesses to appear on the top of your search. They also do not waste expenses on brochures or unnecessary costs that customers end up paying for to keep the lights on. 2. More budget friendly. I called and booked about a handful of highly recommended pool companies for estimates based on highest number of reviews. In the end, our experience is upsell, overpriced services, and unfriendly detailed contracts of extras. I yelped again for the second round and included A to Z Pool because they advertised "budget friendly". This was the smartest first step for us. 3. Genuinely helpful and upfront. We immediately met with Albert, the owner of the company, who was very helpful in guiding us which option holds out the longest for our money's worth. He did not push sales at all, gave us great recommendations on what we needed, and was able to start and finish within the two weeks we wanted. 4. Clear communication and reliable. We had the following work done: demolition, replace tiles, replastered mini pebble (hokkita George), add baja shelf, repair mastic, replace old filter, and lastly include start up services. Communication was clear with Albert, who directed the crew each day. They arrived on time every morning and completed each task in a timely manner. If you are particular about anything, make sure to let them know. I certainly did when my spouse had our steps too narrow together. I asked them to extend it, and it was an easy, quick fix. 5. They exceeded all our expectations in terms of doing quality work and keeping our yard space clean afterwards. They did not cut corners to reduce their cost, and we all saved because they kept their overheads minimal. That's the primary aspect of how they can offer the best price for the quality work they do. A to Z made it so simple and positive for us in the entire process. This review is based on our experience and overall satisfaction with them. I highly recommend you to give them a chance.
