This place is insanely good and so worth a visit. Everything we got from whiskey flights, cocktails, small plates, and entrees were phenomenal. There was not a bad bite to be had. Service was fantastic. We showed up earlier on a Saturday night and they got us seated without a reservation, but as we left the place was very busy. So if you can, I'd recommend a reservation but don't let it stop you from dropping in if you don't.

My husband and I ate and drank here before a concert at the PPL center. We went as walk in's and were lucky to get a 2-top on the first floor but I recommend reservations if you want a definite seat! Food was fine but underwhelming for the hype- hubby ordered a burger, which was nothing special for an upscale, "scratch made" kitchen.. I had a wedge salad with added grilled chicken. It was really good but would have been easier to eat on a bigger plate. Great drink selection! Will be back if we're in the area.

Food was solid. Service was good. I appreciated the creativity in the dishes. We were there early and I would like to see how it felt when it's hopping.

Had made reservations for a quick dinner and cocktails at PA Rye Co - highly recommend the same and were seated on a wonderful eight person table after being warmly greeted by a very friendly Jesse, who later on also helped us get some excellent wine from the Bottle Co. Our friendly server Kyle ensured that we got everything to our liking and was friendly and polite! We ordered a few cocktails and for food, we got the Roasted Cauliflower ($10), Pesto Arancini ($12), Stroganoff ($18), and Butternut Squash Risotto ($15). Food was absolutely delicious and the Butternut Squash Risotto was the tastiest dish on our table. Service was excellent, and food arrived within 25-minutes of ordering. Noise levels were on the lower end, and the festive decorations definitely helped set the mood! Overall, we had a very good experience, and will highly recommend this place to friends and family!

Absolutely phenomenal!!! Love the industrial interior and ambiance. It may look small, but definitely packs a big punch to it. There are additional upstairs and back room accommodations, but we (4) took one of the 4 tables in front next to the bar. The staffs were very attentive and took care of us. Our table of4 became a table of 6! Bumped into some friends and we made a party out of it. I personally loved all the china wares, because they were all very unique and it looked like it came out of someone's grandma's kitchen. Loved it! The dishes were even more incredible. Our friends have been here before, so they know it was good stuff. I was recommended with the Bolognese dish and I ordered it! Fellow Yelpers and my friend said it's good, then I believe it's good and it was!! Delish! I should have, though, ordered the half portion. It was way too much food for me, but luckily my boyfriend only had a beet salad (seriously for a big guy, a salad and me a giant plate of Bolognese lol) finished the rest for me. We make a great team. Everybody else enjoyed their Crab Raviolo, Grilled Octopus, more beet salad (must be good!), and pork chop. Would love to come back here again, my boyfriend even requested to go again for lunch and dinner, but they were closed on Monday =( AND we don't live here. Poops. Next time when we are back in town!

This place was awesome! The downstairs area has the bar and some small tables and upstairs is the dining area. Everything is dark wood and gives a great atmosphere of both a classic cocktail bar and classy restaurant. They are a scratch kitchen, so they do everything on the menu in house from butchering the meat to making pasta to making potato chips. Our waiter emphasized it when he explained the menu. He also went over the whiskey menu, explained how their flights work, and how they had some rare whiskeys at the moment. He was not pushy about anything and was able to recommend wine and beer just as much as whiskey. They had a great tap and wine list, which is what our group of five ordered from. The food was excellent! We had Brussel Sprouts, Onion Dip, and Edamame for appetizers. For dinner, we had Bolognese, Salmon, Steak, Short Ribs, and the Cheesesteak. Everything all around was fantastic. We had ample time between appetizers and entrees. We had a birthday cake at home so no desserts at the restaurant, but I did order an espresso, which they use beans roasted in house so another plus! This was an all around great restaurant and great experience. Highly recommended for food and for drinks!

Salmon orange and fennel salad, risotto.

Great ambience, service and food quality. The short ribs were perfect. Salmon delicious, specialty cocktails on point. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a great atmosphere. I was surprised by how few tables there were though. The bar was more crowded than the dining room, which felt a little odd for 7pm prime dinner time. Service was excellent across the board. The host, our server, the manager, and the food runner were all friendly and attentive. The menu is perfect for sharing plates. The hamachi jalapeño with ponzu was fantastic, and one of the best bites of the night was the blue crab temaki taco. The food was pretty great overall, but at this price point I expected everything to be elevated just a bit more. If prices were about 20% lower, I think they'd really hit the mark. Honestly, that might be why the dining room wasn't full at 7pm on a Thursday. People want great service, a nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Here you get two out of three.

First time I visited was for lunch. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew I needed to order the Wild Scotch Egg (difficult to find). I also had the half portion of Fish and Chips. The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. Fish was succulent, perfectly flaky and flavorful, while the Steak Fries were wonderfully crunchy, full of true potato taste. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good. The waiter was warm and easy to talk with. Everything came out in a timely manner. Prices were quite reasonable. I'm glad I came across this place to have my fill of some British classics!

[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

We entered through the wall of the restaurant and walked right into the cute bar area of the lounge (3 bar seats). She let us take our time deciding on cocktails and we were glad she did because the menu is extensive. 2 pages of specialty cocktails and countless pages of over 200 different whiskeys! I decided on a gin based cocktail called a BIJOU and the man decided on an Old Fashioned. Kayla wanted to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks so she shared that we were able to change the type of whiskey and gin if we wanted. Both cocktails were DELICIOUS and absolutely "spirited"! I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.
