First time we came here was for dinner and we sat inside. House made chili was served hot and was good. Crab cake was also good and served with buttery rice & vegetables. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. I took my girlfriend to eat and see A band that was playing here and the staff was straight up disrespectful to the band. First, there were rain and thunderstorms in the area the entire night before they played, but instead of moving inside they stuck them outside because the rain was "going to stop" according to the owners. Secondly, the owners rudely walked up to the band and cut them off in the middle of 4 straight songs due to them apparently being too loud. From where we were sitting, the band actually sounded great and had pretty low volume compared to other bands I've heard. Several other customers around us and people watching them perform were visibly frustrated and appalled at the way the band was treated. The bottom line is, If you have a noise issue, don't have bands. On top of all this the service down by the pavilion was miserable. Nobody was waiting tables or asking people if they would like to eat, and the tables were very dirty. And the food is very bad and quite expensive. My girlfriend got sick from the food she ordered. Please do not make the mistake of bringing a band hear or eating here. read more

fairly bad experience. stayed for lunch after a round of golf at Shepherd Hills. beautiful day and the place was not that busy but the service was slow and horrible. our Server never checked on us to offer drink refills. on top of that, when we finally got our food (soup was delivered with the meal instead of being served as an up front appetizer), everything was cold, including that soup. sent food back, took forever for them to return it and then only got the main course back without any of the side dishes. the Server apologized, mumbled something about offering a credit, said a Manager would come by for a visit and then she vanished. never saw that Manager. this place is not worth the wait, the service or the food. go elsewhere. read more

went on a Friday night with friends. The deck is nice, and it's busy. We expected to have a wait for service, but it wasn't bad. I had ordered the Steak Frites and my husband ordered wings. The steak was pretty bland, but cooked correctly. The fries were parmesan garlic fries, which were very soggy- I guess they used dressing on them - would have been better with garlic and fresh parm on them. My husband said the wings were okay, not great. The band was fantastic and prices were really good. We will be back to see live music, not sure if we would eat there again. read more

Quite possibly the worst round of margaritas ever. I ordered two margaritas with salt and asked for their white premium tequila. We had three rounds total, six drinks. Each round and each drink was made differently and incorrectly. I could not taste the premium spirit whatsoever. Tried this place for Monday night football. Small crowd in back area called the Hut. Could have been a good atmosphere. Except.... First it's no smoking except people walk 20 feet away to the entrance and smoke . So that's a deal killer. They had enough TVs and the outdoor setting with heaters was good. Wings pricey. New life would be an understatement to the reinvestment that's been made to everything here: golf course, outdoor catering pavilion, game areas (great for families/groups/kids), ice cream shack and the Tiki Hut out back. As a dog dad (2 Chocolate Labs) - this place is incredibly dog friendly. Staff happily supply bowls and ice water, and there's a healthy dog menu too. Food for people from a generous varied menu always solid, and well-priced. We'd love to see a bigger crowd for Yappy Hour. The grounds are meticulously maintained too. read more

So I came back to Pa, and I wanted to have great food. I walked into the Foundation room as last year it was fabulous. As I sat down, was greeted right away by the server, I was given a menu in which was not the same as last year. After reviewed the very limited menu, I could not find anything I wanted to eat with the price point they wanted. The server was understandable, and did not charge me for the soda I did not touch. For all the raving good reviews I gave this place last April, I can not keep them as current. The cost of the food seems extremely high for area, let a lone a bar. read more

We made a reservation for a large group several days in advance. We then called an hour before arrival to confirm. When we got to the restaurant they had no idea we were coming. Once seated our food came out in spurts with some not getting their meal for more than an hour. (It was a quesadilla...not exactly a tough order). It's a shame because it's a nice location. I heard from the owner shortly after this posted. He was gracious and apologetic while explaining they had last minute staffing problems. Stopped in at Foundation Tavern Friday. Walked into blaring karaoke that was way too loud for the small space. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it was difficult to hold a conversation across the table. The service was ok. No one greeted us when we came in even though it was still early (6pm) and the place wasn't too busy. We figured out we should just get a table on our own. Our table server was nice and did check in regularly. I'd read the reviews before coming and was wary of eating anything but figured the loaded fries and cheesesteak couldn't be that bad. Ehhhh... what is with that cheese sauce?! It was like Cheez Whiz gone bad. Way too much and way too thick. It was one thing to smother the fries, but to ruin a perfectly good steak sandwich was disheartening. I will give credit to the cheesesteak roll. It was nice and moist. My friend got the fish tacos (risky!) and they were also smothered in sauce. It's ok to let the ingredients do the talking. My advice is to lighten up on the sauces. When I asked the server where the desserts were made he had no idea or maybe didn't want to admit they come from a place like The Restaurant Store. I was just curious. They were out of the key lime pie after we had already ordered it, but they did give a nice little discount on our bill for the disappointment. The chocolate ice cream was fine. If I could say a minus 5 stars I would! We were a party of 10 and not one of us got the correct order and 2 of us never got our meals. The server manager came to address the situation but did' not. She asked what two meals we didn't get and said she would take it off the receipt. Well, of course lady, we never got our food but we had to pay for our drinks. Please tell me how she compensated for our horrible experience by paying for the only thing we did get which was our drinks. We were frequent patrons when it was Krock's Pub. Stopped in tonight to check out new establishment. Loved the new place, Foundation Tavern, and everything about it! Sat at bar and watched Penn State/Michigan game on TV's a plenti. Mike our bartender was very friendly, service and drinks were right on. Love the new menu. Apps of fried green beans and wings, delicious...entree of crab cakes, garlic mash potatoes and seasoned brussel sprouts had all the flavors of a 4 star rating. Compliments to chefs! We will return! Was in Wescosville area and stopped back at Foundation Tavern. Still think of it as Krocks Pub but Krocks Pub it is not! Once again we were not disappointed. Menu has been condensed but still your bar menu favorites. Check out the entree specials Friday and Saturday, reflects the creativity of the new chef, you will enjoy. If you sit at the bar, you'll be well taken care of by Tim and Amber, two of their friendly bar staff. This was our 4th visit over the last 2 months and we've always had a very good experience. The happy hour drinks and appetizers are a great deal and our meals have always been great. Pleasant surprise! To be honest the only reason we went was we had a coupon. I had nachos there after golf last year and was not impressed. that was a year ago so we thought we would try it again for sandwiches. Both the specialty burger and cheesesteak were both good. I dined here last Saturday, for the first time it since the rebranding. I am pretty sure that were he to set foot inside, Jon Taffer would deem the establishment beyond saving and burn it to the ground. Here are some of the things I noted: - There were about 20 people present, and 5 servers present, despite that - It was really loud - It took them approximately 40 minutes to serve up the humus appetizer. - As for the quality of the appetizer, the bread was DRY. Not a good sign. - Communication? What's that? I watched a server start slicing limes, only to watch another server get their attention, go into the fridge under the bar, and pull out a giant container full of sliced limes. - Also, their limes aren't fresh, but have been sitting in a fridge for god knows how long! - Remember that humus appetizer? I was given no napkins or silverware with it. I mean, really? Between the service and the noise levels, and the fact that there were 5 servers for a crowd of 20, I don't even want to imagine what it would be like if the place were full. Rumor has it that if you stay past closing and wait for all the employees to leave, you can hear a faint scraping sound from across the golf course. I ordered dinner for pickup. The French fries were soggy and undercooked and the chicken cheese steak was mediocre. Our wings were under cooked but the worst thing was my husband's Cobb salad which was mostly greens and a mouse turd. This was the first meal we have had there in a long time and wi be the last. We ate at the Tiki Hut tonight with friends who have never been to Foundation Tavern. Unfortunately the service was not up to their normal standards. It took a long time for our server to greet us & take drink orders. Once we got our food, I waited at least 15minutes for condiments after we asked 3 different servers if they could bring some to our table & my husband got up to search for someone to help us. By this point my food was luke warm at best & everyone else was almost through eating their meals. I will say that as always the food was very good & enjoyed by all & the atmosphere is lively. We went there tonight for their clam special, which I had last year and was great. Tonight it was XMAS in July with a Dj and it was so unbelievably and unbearably loud. No sooner did we sit down and a waitress was there to take our drink order. I can't stand when that happens because one we don't have a drink menu and two give us a chance to go over the drink menu if it was available. We ordered clams for our food and when they arrived at our table they smelled so bad. Never before have I ever smelled clams like this. My husband and I both ate two and they were horrible, tasted like mush. Thankfully the waitress took them off the bill and at that point we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. Came here with the folks while visiting during the holidays. Very surprised with the remodel. The Place has a very nice feel and great food. Burger was by far one of the best burgers in the Lehigh Valley. Plus it was cheap! Best place around to get great food and cold beer after 18 holes. The rectangular bar allows for a large group to sit around it and still interact. I watched the NFL playoffs there last week and got the wings at kick off and the fried egg burger in the 3rd Quarter. Both were so good I plan to watch the Super Bowl there. Went on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised to see it was full, which is a great indicator that it's a good place. It was a 30 minute wait for an outside table because it was a rare 70 degree late October Friday night. However, they had tables in the beer garden where you can choose a table and order by scanning a QR code. That process was great and fairly efficient. The live entertainment was great. That dude playing the harmonica was enjoyable to listen to. Wish there was a place like this closer to my home. They refused to play music without Touch Tunes. I mean that's fine if you're Applebee's but you're not so you can't really do that. If i could give zero stars i would. The service was terrible. The waitress either hated her job or felt like we were bothering her. Bar had a handful of people and we the only ones seated at a table. When we asked how big the flatbread pizza was, she described (using her hands) a rectangular pizza and it's size. When it arrived it was a round single frozen pizza type thing. The fish tacos were tasteless and were pretty much thrown together. The fried green beans,well were fried but tasteless. Horrible service and the food to match. When the waitress overheard us discussing the awful food she became even less attentive to our table, never asked how it was and seemed irritated that we asked her to bring us plates to eat our appetizers, more beers or anything else we asked for.
