Located in the underground food court area (I think it's called the concourse) of Grand Central! This spot has been my go to stop and shine before any big client meetings I may have. The friendly shiners sit you down, and get right to it. Overall from my last three years of experience including today, I think they do a fantastic job every single time. Not a single spot missed, and always the highest glossy shine you could imagine. They also sell shoe insoles, laces, and etc. I believe my shine was $8. With a $5 tip, $13 bucks ain't bad to look tip top. Check it out!

    After fixing the handle

My Kate Spade bag handle broke. Called the Kate Spade store and the customer representative said she recommended Leather Spa over their own repair center since 1) it was past the warranty time period 2) leather spa is just as good with cheaper price (would've been over $100 to repair, she said) Lo and behold, $48 and 1week later, my bag handle is as good as new. The Leather spa guy warned me that there would be some stitch marks, but you can't tell unless you look very close. Very, very happy. Would recommend.

I had a 25-year-old Gucci belt, and they made it look brand new! I would definitely be using them again!

My Prada shoes was worn out and they restored it as if it was new. The quality were good. It was worth it to pay high price for the work.

As I walked past today I remembered I need an additional hole in my belt to hold my pants up! The very nice young man said they can take care of it and he didn't charge me. He said for something like that there's no charge. The hole is in the exact spot I told him and it looks very professional. I'm definitely going to check my other belts and make sure I give him a tip next time. I'm highly recommending for shoes and a shine too. This definitely appears to be a Mom and Pop business. He took the belt to someone in the back who made the hole. There's a young lady who is ready to assist and was busy working on a pair of ladies shoes. Very cool old school New York City Classic Business. I love it!! Great Location too. Enjoy!

My husband bought them in Argentina about that long ago. When I picked them up I almost didn't recognize them. The stitching was done perfect, clean, and shined! They looked nearly brand new. They also repaired the zipper on my Duluth crossbody leather bag (as the company wouldn't do it), cleaned it, and oiled it. The service is timely. The repair work is SUPERB! and fabulous customer service. Great sense of humor. I'm delighted to have found this place. Highly recommend!!

This bag means the world to me because it was my very first designer bag, gifted to me over 10 years ago They worked absolute magic! The cleaning and restoration were done with such incredible care and attention to detail. When I got it back, it literally looked brand new You would never know it had gone through anything! Shoutouts to Leather Spa bringing it back to life! On top of that, the turnaround time was so fast which meant so much to me. I'm beyond grateful to have my sentimental piece restored so beautifully. It looks just the same now as it did when I first got it. I highly recommend them to anyone needing expert care for their luxury items! 10/10 experience!

I first brought the boots to the Grand Central location and was turned away because apparently only 55th Street (the least accessible NYC location for me) does calf alterations. My boots were 1-1.5" too wide in the calves as I have very narrow legs, and while I was clear that I didn't want them to be tight, I did want them to look more fitted and neater around my legs. I went to 55th Street and intentionally had the boots fitted over jeans, repeatedly telling the store employee that he was cutting off my circulation and needed to loosen the boots. Rather than listen to me and do what I asked, he told me that they could stretch them if they turned out too small. I very adamantly said no, I will not compromise the integrity of the leather by stretching them nor will I agree to have the boots made too small so that additional work will be required. I finally asked him to provide the final measurement and was told it was 13". The boots were originally 14.5" for reference. The boots were ready in just over a week, which already had me concerned since I hadn't requested a rush job. Upon receiving them, I could immediately see that they were two different sizes. The left boot is 12.5" and the right boot is just barely 12.25". They are nearly impossible to zip, the seams were done VERY poorly and not straight, and most importantly, they do not fit without severe pain. I cannot walk in them. I literally can't even move my right ankle. And that's on my bare legs without jeans. I immediately contacted Leather Spa and received a response from Vincent who said it's very common for boots with this type of repair to require additional treatment and that I should bring them back for stretching. Did I not already have this conversation BEFORE I paid $300+ to ruin $2k+ boots??? Vincent insists they are not ruined even after I sent photos showing that they very much are. Further, they didn't even send them back to me nicely - they threw shreds of cut leather pieces inside one of the boots and just sent them off that way as further evidence of the total rush job. I used to frequent Leather Spa 55th and my patronage fell off years ago after they did something very similar to a pair of $300 boots. I was very clear during my visit this time that that could not happen again with my brand new Louboutin boots that were significantly more expensive. Had the employee just told me on the spot that they were going to cut my boots too small and require stretching thereafter, I would've taken the boots, walked out and gotten them repaired elsewhere. Literally the only reason I returned to Leather Spa is because Christian Louboutin recommends them. Never again.
