I called around 4-5 different shoe repair shops to get my boss's boots fixed. The zipper on the right boot was not pulling up or down. Most of the places quoted me up to a week to get fixed! This is my second time visiting this location. The first time I got my Louis Vuitton bag repaired and he did a phenomenal job. He must do awesome work if I traveled from Queens to New York City to get my shoes repaired. Based on the work that he did with my bag I was willing to travel 40 minutes to make sure that my boots that I love so much were in good hands. When I brought the shoes to him he suggested to change the bottom from a gummy sole because of the debris it picks up while walking. Walter is a genius problem solver & a master artisan and I will definitely return to him if I ever have any restoration or cleaning issues with luxury designer handbags in the future. I had accidentally ruined an expensive Chanel bag by getting large oil spills on it, but Walter was able to return it to an almost new state! The bag has a very fussy nubuck finish, making it very difficult to clean, but I am so happy with the outcome and glad I trusted Walter to do the job. I went to two other leather repair services I found on Yelp which claimed to "specialize" in luxury designer bag restoration. One of them said they would need 3 weeks and wanted to charge me $320 plus return shipping for the job. Another one simply refused to take the job and claimed oil spills can't be removed. Luckily I didn't believe any of them and went to get Walter's professional opinion. He was able to suggest a cleaning method specific for nubuck and fixed my bag within a few hours for a reasonable price. I almost can't believe how good the results are! IMPORTANT NOTE: You always take a bit of a risk when you deal with oil stains on leather, so you have to be open to experimenting and taking a few risks if you want to have a problem solved. Walter and I tested little patches of the bag together before committing to a full repair. Be sure to collaborate productively and be open-minded with your artisan if you want to achieve the best outcomes. read more

I pick a place based on reviews and then I would test them out by going "easy" first. My first pair of shoes to brought into fix was a pair of JCrew kiki flats. I just needed to get the front of the toes and heels reinforced because I walk hard on my feet. He did a great job; looks good as new. (I'm not sure if it's a one guy business but I've only seen the same guy so I'm going to assume it's one guy.) A few weeks later, I was cleaning out my room and found a pair of sandals I abandoned because it was too screwed up to wear but couldn't throw it out because I loved the way it looked and was never able to find something like it to replace. These are cheap sandals I got from DSW, but that is how much I like them that I am unwilling to give them up. I decided to give this place a shot again because he didn't disappoint the first time. Along with it were my Ferragamo Vera flats. I was completely amazed by the results of my sandals. I admit I did ask for a lot: new heels and new foot bed. He actually gave me a new foot bed!! It looks so new right now it was totally worth paying ~$80 for the new foot bed and new heels. And of course my Vera flats were also well fixed. It's really hard for me to put in words how well he did so I'm just going to post pictures. I most definitely recommend this place to get your shoes fixed. read more

They did a great job with my black boots! The toes had been worn off after years of wear in the city, and the heels were starting to go as well. I was able to pick them up all clean and shiny, which hasn't been the case since I first bought them! The toes and heels were replaced for $45, which is reasonable. The only thing is if you need to pick up your shoes close to closing, I'd call ahead of time. I tried to get them at 6:10 but it was unfortunately already closed and I had to come back. read more

I needed to fix a wallet zipper and I first went to the original brand to see how much they priced repairs. They said I was looking at around $75, which is almost half of the cost of just buying a new wallet and even the sales associate helping me thought it was exorbitant. But I am really attached to my wallet and the leather is still in good condition so I decided to go to a cobbler instead. I found Premium Cobbler on Yelp and decided to check it out. They fixed my wallet zipper (they said they had to open up my wallet and reattach the folds together so it sounds like a complicated job) for $35 and did it within a few days. They accept card, but they will add on tax if you pay with card. Bring cash so you can avoid those charges. Also, you will pay a deposit for half the price of the job. Overall, I'm super happy with my wallet and that I was able to get it fixed. I thought the pricing was a little bit higher than I expected, but overall, I'm happy with the job and they're convenient and nearby. Holy crap! I brought my red Gucci "Sylvie" Mary Jane pumps here to be repaired. I thought they were toast and wasn't sure they could even be salvaged. I had only worn them twice when I stumbled and fell, causing me to tear a gash in the toe of one of them on the asphalt. Additionally, there were slight water stains on both of them from an unexpected sprinkling of rain. I hate I did not take a before and after picture, but you literally cannot see where the original rip was or any of the water stains. Additionally, he recommended I reinforce the bottoms of the shoes with new soles and something that looked like a nail head, since they had a pointy toe. They really look fantastic.
