After entering through the front door, a deputy sitting at a desk will ask what type of service you're needing and direct you accordingly. I needed to get license plate questions answered so I visited the DMV office here. You go to the kiosk, enter what you're needing and you get a ticket. There's 4-5 employees behind a glass encased walk-up area similar to a bank teller's set-up. The employees are nice and accommodating (there's a handicap area as well). Everything is quick, clean, and well lit (tall, floor to ceiling windows). This is nothing like the "old days" DMV to get license plates and handicap paring permits.

Master planned community! This square is in the heart of a…read morebig office park, next door to a soccer arena. All this has been built in the past few years, all at once, like the town had some sort of big boom, and some civic planners sat down and tried to conjure up their own utopia in North Dallas. Parking is easy, there's garages not far from here. There's areas for little shops to give the place some flavor, but it's mostly just a well planned communal spot for events, concerts, shows, farmers markets, and other community events. This is where the courthouse, the library, and the movie theater are all located. Pre-planned to be in the perfect spots. The Frisco Square is a public place that allows for you to hang out and do some of the city planned things for free. They show movies on the lawn, ice skating (for a fee) in the winter with a set up pond. They go all out for Christmas with lights, and visits from Santa. If you work at the local Collin County offices or the hospital, this would be a good place to hang out for lunch break or something.

I tried to set up e payments through my bank and found out that the city of Frisco does not have the arrangement. (If you use a credit card and pay online via their website, of course you will be charged a convenience fee.) So, even in this paperless, high-tech driven world, the fabulous city of Frisco needs its resident to write a check, fight the traffic amongst idiot drivers along Eldorado and Main, and walk up to their counter or send the check in via snail mail every month. This is amazing!…read more Somehow I left my drivers license ( with my old address) at this post office. Luckily VIC found it and listen to what he did- he found the package I had sent, looked up the address of where I sent my package from, GOOGLED it, called them- and had them relay the message to me that he had found my Drivers License. So I just came back and picked it up. VIC is a life saver. We need more people like him in this World.

ONE 1-mile stretch of road in Frisco will create something like 47,000 jobs. Add in the mile south of that exact same road and it jumps to something like 65,000 jobs CREATED! That's just ONE road in the whole city!!! How does that happen? A great team of city managers and a kick a-- Chamber of Commerce. That's how. What is happening here is a once in a lifetime thing, and we have our Chamber to thank in large part to the opportunities and leadership. They are progressive, motivated, unique, and driven to succeed. Every business owner should be participating in the Chamber. The rewards are countless. I am personally biased and think the Thursday morning Get On Track networking is one of the best perks, but there are so many other meetings, trainings, events, resources, and people that add value to the local business community I cannot truly explain them all.
