Since my next annual appointment isn't for another 5 months, and after talking with Bryce, I realized it would be quite expensive to replace them. Since I really need my glasses, he suggested a more affordable alternative. I told him I would think about it and left. After a couple of weeks I decided to take his advice and went in and ordered another pair of glasses to get me by until my next appointment. My glasses were ready the following week and I love them. I was greeted promptly and they used state of the art equipment to administer various tests, which were thorough and the technician explained each test in easy to understand terms. Dr Nick was awesome and honest. I had been told i would need surgery for cataracts soon, but he assured me I do not and they are currently working on my new lenses, which he assured me will be a great improvement over what i was using. We were both happily impressed! The entire staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly. The eye exams were thorough, they took the time to answer questions and address concerns. The facility is clean, decorated nicely, and has a relaxing atmosphere. I had been told at two aforementioned places that I needed cataract surgery. This doctor explained that yes, I have slight cataracts, but that for now most of my burry vision issues are from dry eye and would be much improved with regular use of eye-drops, and surgery wouldn't be needed for a few years. Great news to me! Turns out I don't need distance correction enough to warrant it, but it was an option if I wanted it, so I opted for readers. He explained that store bought readers have the same strength for both eyes, while prescription readers are tailored to each eye. That makes sense, I simply hadn't thought about it like that. We are more than pleased with our experience at Resler-Kerber and highly recommend them!

Now I understand why one of my eyes cant be corrected to the same degree as its mate, an improvement over last year. I never know which doctor or provider I will see. They seem to work interchangeably. That may be the reason that I don't feel I'm known or seen as a person, even though they seem to know quite a lot about my "rare disease", which is a big bonus for my health. One caution if you go there: watch out for the rolling chairs in the exam room with all the medical equipment to examine, measure and photograph various parts of your eyes .
