Felipe told me that he understands it might take a while longer and I could find a different company if I needed to. He said we could cancel everything and it wouldn't be a problem. So I found a new company that was also cheaper and was more familiar with Marion County and the permits. I immediately contacted American Metals to cancel everything like they said wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward 3 months - the new company tries to get my permit and I find out American Metals has not canceled it like I asked them to. I contact the office - they tell me they got the cancelation papers and it's good now. A week later the new company tries to get the permit AGAIN and it HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED. And they lied to me about receiving the paperwork, because that's not even how it works. I contact the "owner" Josh about the situation and he tells me "Contact the office". Like I hadn't already tried. If the office knew what the hell they were doing I wouldn't of had to go this far to begin with. All they had to do was email the building department but this seems too difficult so now I have to go out of my way to send a certified letter to get this resolved. They are upset that I found a different company. This company has been nothing but unprofessional since the very beginning. Stay away.

I recently came upon my first time of dealing with an issue with my roof. A tree limb fell and…read morebusted a hole through it. My house was built in the 1950's, which also brings old house issues. Some things that I was looking for, watching, and generally noticed during my process of finding a roofing company: Locally Owned Solid customer service follow-up to my initial online request to companies. Better Business Bureau BBB profile (not just the rating) Google and other online reviews and referrals (i/e local facebook pages etc) How would they treat me, a woman, buying a roof? Did they ask me questions or try to address my concerns? Were they using quality materials and did they seem reliable to install it properly so that all warranties would hold up over time? After the consult, did they badger me or were they patient, or just not care and follow up at all? True Force ticked all those boxes for me, plus some. I am thrilled to be able to work with a company that is not only locally owned but also veteran-owned and operated. After getting quotes from a few companies, I researched things like their BBB pages, social media, and a google deep dive past my initial look at reviews. Though some companies boast a top BBB score, they have really bad customer service and it is evident by how they treat people submitting issues on their BBB page. Some companies tried to get me to sign a work release and give them the project before they inspected the roof or gave me a quote or work plan since my homeowners insurance would possibly cover some repairs. On my roof inspection Jake and Rodolfo introduced themselves, asked questions, did a walk of the property, got on the roof, etc then provided me with a presentation and quote. My experience with Jake and Rodolfo was fantastic, they were highly professional, kind and treated me with respect. One thing I appreciated was True Force was very clear with the terms of their company warranty and it's length. Most companies were saying "lifetime" which sounds like they get to decide if the "lifetime" is 10 years or 2 years based on how they feel at the time of the issue, no real time commitment to servicing any future issues that may arise. The professionalism of the sales team and online reviews made me confident that the company would not cut corners and compromise my home or any warranties purchased from the materials manufacturer (GAF). Chase was the crew leader for my home and he did a great job of keeping me up to date on everything, and letting me know every issue this old house had in store for them, and talked to me and showed me what was going on as it was happening. The decking wasn't what was expected and there was a lot of rotting wood from not having proper ventilation, tree overhang, etc. They took care of all the rotted wood and made my roof more secure. The air quality in my home started changing by the next day, and my home feels much cooler. The crew was super respectful of my home and kind. They busted their butts on two record heat temperature days to fix my house. Another note of importance is True Force does have different financing options inhouse and they were super patient with me while I was waiting for the insurance settlement and exploring other finance options. I ended up using one they offer and it took less than a minute to fill out the application and get approved for that particular one. It was a really easy experience and their interest rate and no penalty for early payoff was better than any deal I was being offered through popular lending sites. So anyway, what are you waiting for? Contact True Force!! I'm so happy with my experience with them, my new roof is beautiful!

I noticed that the gutter over my entrance was leaking so I got a latter to clean out the debris thinking that was why it was leaking. The problem was that Tom did not elevate the gutter so that the water would drain out into the spout. I called Tom right away to have him come adjust it for me. He told me he was backed up and he would get to me when he could. It's been 9 months now and I have called and texted him since then many, many times with no response from him. I even had Richard Guay, the contractor who he did the job for to no avail. At this point, I am a dissatisfied customer and with hurricane season I cannot have a gutter that will not drain and could possible cause the foundation of my house to deteriorate. Please, could you send someone out to take care of this problem for me? I would greatly appreciate it.

If not for that leaky system my home would have a perfectly fine metal roof, but alas, squirrels beat me in the arms race and a bunch of spots on the roof suffered from rust and were in some places was falling apart. I decided to try Atlantic to get rid of that messed up setup perhaps in advance of getting solar for either electric or hot water. Atlantic got to work rapidly in removing the old roof and installing the new one. However, once the south side of the house roof was replaced they realized the roof panels weren't quite the right size or something along those lines. At that point they covered the roof in one of the newer alternatives for tar paper, this maybe 1/4" or so thick adhesive sheeting that provides both some cushioning for the roof panels and waterproofs the roof. This was because the COVID19 pandemic with its supply chain disrupting shenanigans delayed Atlantic's ability to get the proper panels. Despite this they ensured the roof with just that sheeting didn't leak, and then after a month or few they got suitable panels and finished installation in I believe under a week or so. The roof looks great and nicely caps my single-family residence. The only reason I'm dinging Atlantic a star is that they didn't clean up the site as much as I'd like. The photo accompanying this review shows one of several roofing nails from the previous roof that lurk among brush and leaves near the house in both front and back yards, along with various bits of nasty sharp metal which was dropped as the roofers sawed to try to adapt the improper sheeting to the structure. Other than occasionally stumbling upon such debris, their work was excellent.

The owner sent in a crew from Gainesville, that had the knowledge to get the job done. There is a transition from the house to the guest house behind the home, that is not a straight line and very challenging. The crew spent an entire day on that one section to make sure we were happy with what was done. Additionally there was a lot of rain between when they started and finished. The crew made sure the tarp was secured and water tight, so we didn't have to worry about the rain. I would highly recommend Atlantic roofing, they stand by their work. Anything along the way we weren't happy with, they fixed. Ed also went to bat for us with the insurance company to get us new plywood and flashing when he wasn't happy with what he saw.
