Something about this Ledo's makes it my favorite one in all of MoCo and I have pretty much been to all of them. I can definitely tell the difference in management in every single Ledo's I've dined in or have ordered carry out from. However, this locations pizza is hands down the most consistent - perfectly baked and never a burnt or well done crust (unless you ask of course) Dining in service is okay for the one time we did eat in, but I don't expect 5 star service. If I wanted to hear children wailing and banging silverware on the tables, I would go to chuck-e-cheese. But I'm an adult (on a budget), so I went to Ledo. (That being said, I could have done without the loud children and parents who could have cared less about disturbing other patrons) Good value. Spent $30 including tax/tip on a 14' pizza, two drinks, salad, and a huge calzone. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very attentive. Even other waitresses would offer to refill our drinks if they were low - so that was appreciated. The review is for the staff and not the pizza! We have gone to Ledo's only a few times since we moved here. To me, I like the buttery crust and sweeter sauce, but the first time we actually ate in the restaurant, it took almost 20 minutes for someone to actually come and greet us and take our drink order! Yes, we should have left but, but packing up 3 little ones seemed like more of a nightmare! By the time we actually ordered our pizza, we had been there for about 30 minutes, and btw, it wasn't very busy! Now I admit, we weren't going out of our way at this point to be be overly friendly, but neither was the waitress! We literally watched her talking to one of the other waitresses, looking at is and roll her eyes! We left fuming!! We asked to speak with the manager, but there supposedly wasn't one. Now tonight we ordered 1 large pizza for pick up, when I got there, I asked how long breadsticks would be and was told 5-10 min, so I added them to my order. After 15 minutes I asked how much longer and I was told soon. After a total of 25 min, I was able to bring my breadsticks and cold pizza home!! The 2 girls behind the counter could have cared less. So warning, if you want to be treated like you're interrupting someone's personal life, then go ahead and give them a try! We will be looking for someplace new!! read more

Ledo pizza is in an awkward location, with bad parking. However, that's true of basically everything in the DC metro, so... That said, we had a nice meal, at a reasonable price. The server was prompt and attentive in the right ways. My wife's salad was well made, and not just something that had been thrown together and shoved in ice water until needed. I got a pizza, made with good ingredients, and an interesting (in a good way) thin crust. It was almost crumbly. The issue I had was that the sauce was sweet enough to almost be a jam. It was much sweeter than, for example, Papa Johns, and it made it difficult to eat. My wife, who has a sweet tooth, agreed that the sugar needed to be toned down. Overall, though, I would put it behind Pizza Stop and Stained Glass Pub (in that order) for best pizza in the region, but ahead of most other places. Also, be warned, they serve Pepsi products, probably in keeping with the too much sweetness of the pizza. read more

We get carry out every week or two. The pizza is excellent and the regular salad big enough for a side with dinner, and then lunch, for one. The buffalo calzone is also a winner as is the chicken alfredo. Staff and owners friendly and efficient. We were new to the area and had never had any crust like it when we got here almost two years ago. Now I know when we do eventually leave we'll miss Ledos very unique and tasty cracker-like crust. They also rotate innovative craft pizzas throughout the year and use fresh and tasty ingredients. While we miss our special favorites that come and go from time to time it forces us to try new ones and make new favorites. Parking is a bear as is getting off and onto University again at the Wheaton location (and it is a local chain). Their appetizers are also rotating and tasty/fresh. Same with salads. the food is great but the problem with the calzone is too much cheese. They put way too much cheese that it was hard for me to swallow and almost gagged choke on the lump of cheese. I had to force spit it out from my throat as it was too much cheese. The pizza have the right amount of cheese thanks but the calzone and Stromboli had too much cheese. I tried swallowing part of the cheese but part was hanging down making me gag. Please use less cheese for those. read more

Great food and service! I recently made my first visit to Ledo's at the request of a friend who asked me to bring her one of their pizzas. I ordered the pizza and, while I waited for it, had a delicious Italian sub made with great quality meats and cheeses. I explained to Helen, my waitress, that I was taking the pizza to Florida! She arranged for it to be "half-baked" and provided me with boxes for transporting it and instructions for my friend to reheat it. She was very thorough and kind in helping me fulfill this unusual request. The manager and other staff greeted me and checked to see if I had everything I needed. We are big fans of Ledos and an old number had caused me to place a carry out order to the wrong location which I did not realize at the time. When I went to pick up my order there was no record of it, Sam immediately rectified the situation, consoling me, offering me a beverage and contacting the other restaurant to cancel the order there, to be prepared at this location which is close to our home. I got the January Special which was a 14" pizza with 6 jumbo wings. I haven't been to Ledos in a couple years but I will be going back! I added pineapple and cooked bacon which had a lot of topping. Outside of some of the (more expensive) gourmet places, Ledo's is some of the best I've had in the area -- I refuse to patronize the super cheap PapaDominoHut type places. The basic sauce has a sweet taste, which I really like. The buffalo wings are also very good, especially when cooked "well done" to give them a bit of crisp. I get sick quickly with slices from Pizza Hut or dominos but I could eat a large pepperoni pizza at this place.(NEEDED to say this first) The parking at front SUCKS and it was nerve wracking to get out so next time we will park next door where the bigger lot is. I was really happy at how fast and friendly the service was as I went to go pick up my food. Unfortunately, the parking is a little tricky; I had to circle the block twice to find something. But all in all, their service was great and their pizza is amazing. For the price and the quality, I really loved the pizza I ordered, which was the Pop Pie vegetarian pizza. It was the perfect size for one person and the toppings didn't make the pizza soggy. It also wasn't dry, as most pizzas can be. This may be a harsh review for the reason that I am sharing, but I am tired of the sprinkling of onion on my pizza. If onion is a topping, that I request and must pay for, then the expectation is that there be a "toppings worth" of onion. This is not exactly an expensive addition, so your profit margins should still be met giving a generous amount. I have asked more a than few times when ordering, to no avail.
