This place has a good sized parking area that needs replaving . Its one of the best puzza places in the area of Wheaton. ITS in a nice location . As you go in one of the doors you see gumball machines . After entering the ither doors you see a somewhat lobby arw and a front desk area . O. The right of it you see refrigerators with sdas if all sorts. Behind the front desk cashier arw likes a somewhat concealed kitchen where they perform their magic to make your best foods you could ever want or ever find anywhere else. This place has a huge sign to show pizzas subs and so much more. They give you a choice to take out or eat there. They have a somewhat good sized dining area . They have a pivk up area at the store but deliveriy services i dint think ledos pizza dies . The have great take out menus too as well . They have great sakes ti go with the pizza and foods of your choosing . They gue you a choice f drinks like small bottles or cus id sidas or 2 liter bottles to take out firvyoyr delivery or eat there thing . Their different sales even in TV is enticing fir people ti ckme too . I applied there too with ni result fir front desk cashier. I handed in my resume there in person to hopefully to get my fist in the door . This place has a good kitchen team and a nice manager there but its looks like their shirt staffed on cashiers there . This Ledos location consistently has the best pizza of all the DC area locations. I've been to Montgomery Mall, Bethesda, a few others and those pizzas are sometimes burned/overcooked or something else is wrong. Worth the drive to this one. read more

I ordered a pizza, a Caesar salad, and ravioli. I picked up my order, got home to realize there was no salad dressing with my Caesar salad. I called and they said I could come back to get it. I was no longer available, so they said it was fine to come later and that they would leave a note for the next shift. I came back 4 hours later to get the dressing. There was some confusion, but I did get the dressing and a call back later that I could get a free side salad with my next order. A message to the owners and managers... we have three Ledos within 3 to 4 miles of our house. The food at leisure world is not that good, average at best. The restaurant in Colesville is depressing. We've been going to your restaurant for dine in and carry out for over eight years. We had a carryout order today, September 7, a simple order. A pizza and a salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad dressing was not packed. I call the restaurant and told the young woman who answered the phone to relay the message. Mistakes happen, there are distractions. I ordered and checked in as us Yelpers sometimes do. A complimentary fountain drink popped up. The older gentleman behind the counter (appeared to be the owner or manager,POC with glasses) refused to honor the reward. He told me that I had to use it online. What's the purpose of checking in at the business and getting a reward if you can't use it when you're there. (I didn't know there was a reward prior to checking in..I just wanted to check in.) I work around the area and I always grab a quick salad for lunch. I was so tired of Wendy's and their wilted salad. Just recently my colleague recommended Ledos for their salad and I cannot believe I did not know about it sooner! Update as of January 2022 Accepts both cash and credit card. Tons of free parking in front of the establishment. If you come here, definitely try their pizzas. We have ordered from them a few times now and their pizza quality does not disappoint. We normally order their Roma tomatoes. Bacon, chicken and sausage. All very good options. If you are a vegetarian, they also have tons of veggie options. We also tried their Philly cheesesteak. As much as I want to say good things about it, it was very average to me. The meat portion was light, but the cheese was very non-existent. You would expect the cheese portion to show, but you barely notice it. Not sure if I will try it again. This "cheap-and-addictive", "tried-and-true" local pizza chain...puts a whole new spin on the traditional circular standard of pizza you normally find in the area. From the plethora of toppings piled high on top of the mouth-watering tangy-sweet sauce, oozing with a blend of mozzarella/provolone cheese......to the flaky, buttery French pastry dough-like crusts that's like munching on a soft cronut with crispy edges....its insatiable and will have you coming back for more! The menu is quite large, featuring appetizers, soups, salads, sub sandwiches, and Italian entrees like Chicken Parmesan, Calzones, Stromboli, and Fettucini Filomena...to name a few. I ordered three pizzas - small pepperoni, small Italian white cheese, medium Hawaiian - and they are not good at at all. The crust is thin and seems to crumble away when you bite into it. The toppings were sweet and overly smooth feeling, almost rubbery. We tried baking it in our oven to make it better, but it didn't. I had to throw this pizza away and order all over from a different pizza place. read more

Ledos is one of my favorite fast food pizza places. Its very different from any authentic pizza you could find somewhere else, but its still tasty. The sauce is really sweet (not a hint of tart, which honesty I like once in a while). They are very generous with the toppings, and the crust is nice and crunchy. I do not normally like pepperoni but they cut theirs nice and thick and its really good. The pizza is very greasy, so just a heads up if you are trying to be healthy this might not be the place for you. Its a very different pizza experience than your usual papa johns, pizza hut..etc (sweet sauce, crunchy biscuity crust, and a lot of toppings). If you haven't tried it before, you should definently give it a shot. Would I go here to dine in, probably not, but If im having a small gathering, this is definently an option. I have been going to Ledo's for about 30 years and the food keeps going downhill. Ledos was the only pizza I would eat but now it's terrible. The crust changed a number of years ago. It used to be thin & flakey with thin layers but now it's thicker & dense & more like eating bread. Just terrible. They've taken away almost all entrees from the menu. I never had any issue with the service in the past, but there seems to be a new owner who seemed angry that I ordered online. On & off I try 1 more time hoping things change back but think its time to stop. read more

Thin crust, sweet sauce, good toppings, pieces cut about 2x2" so good for a buffet table. Probably most comparable to Marco's as a chain pizza, but Marco's has more robust sauce. Still makes for good comfort food. Pro tip- park in the lot to the side just past the storefront rather than the one in front to avoid having to back out onto University. read more

Ledo is your neighborhood pizzeria. The pizza isn't particular amazing, but it gets the job done. It's not a place you should travel miles for though, but if it's local to you, it's not a bad choice. I literally live a few minutes down, so I decided to check out for my first time. I only got some take out so I can't say much about the sit down service. The ladies working the front did seem sort of mean. I wasn't blown away by the food, but it was good enough to maybe come back sometime in the future, especially if I'm direly pizza deficient. Then again, if you drive down the road a couple minutes, there is a more artisan pizza joint called Frankly...Pizza! read more

After writing a review for Wendy's in North Bethesda on Parklawn Drive, I was inspired to write a review about another restaurant that serves their food square & not round, that normally comes round. Pizza is normally round, and Ledo decided he wanted to go rectangular, which I totally support. Wendy's has the square burgers (See my 2-star review of the local Wendy's in Wheaton that I wrote on 12/11/17...I reference Ledo Pizza in that review). I've been to my local Ledo a few times: 1. The first time I went was with my mom right after I moved to Wheaton in October 2017; she visited to help with decorating, buying furniture, etc. She was really impressed as was I with the pizza although I had Ledo a couple of times before. 2. I met my friends here in February with my birthday deal, and we all got pizza, which was excellent 3. I came here on 11/1/17 for National Calzone Day $5 calzones on that Wednesday. Wow, the calzone was huge and amazing, one of the best calzones I've ever had. I texted my girlfriend at that time about the deal, but guess what? Those bastards at the Germantown location weren't doing that deal. For the record, my g/f & I ate at her local location up there on 3 occasions, and the pizza was still good. But the Wheaton location is a bit superior. Since my g/f & I broke up in April, she never had the honor of going to the Wheaton location with me...haha 4. On Sunday, March 11th, I went to a Meetup here. He was going to do the Meetup at the Ledo in Bethesda, but I wrote pushing for Wheaton (since I could walk there). Honestly, I didn't feel like driving to Bethesda for a place that is in Wheaton, and wouldn't had gone if he was stubborn. But he was nice & switched to Wheaton. I got a sandwich that time since I had pizza recently, and the sandwich was quite good. However, the pizza is my #1 choice there. However, the calzone would be a close second. I meet a really nice, cute woman there about my age. Sadly for me, she was lesbian. Ugh, why are all the great women I'm interested in lesbians?! Also, to be fair, I still had a g/f at that time too (Pessimism was already setting in on that relationship though, and we broke up over a month later). ----- In summary, I will continue to visit Ledo for the wonderful square pizza or other great items. Fun fact: Ledo is the #1 pizza in Maryland. DC: it's &pizza, which is pretty good; still like Ledo better. VA: It's Pizza Hut; wow poor VA. I'm sure if Northern VA was separate, it would be something else, but across the entire state of VA as a whole, Pizza Hut might be the only option in many small towns in southern VA. read more

The Meats pizza sub ground beef, with a side of garlic butter and marinara. It was almost as good as Chicago pizza. The young lady at the register said I'd love it and come back. Now I didn't love it, but I really like it and I'll definitely go back! It's supper close to my house = Super convenient! I'm Glad I'm finding some better tasting food choices in Wheaton. I've been anxiously awaiting an excuse to try ledo's pizza. It was well worth the wait. We were at the pool hall next door and I couldn't bring myself to eat the mystery tacos coming out of the back room so I went to ledo's instead. We ordered The spicy calamari pizza, old bay wings 6 count, and some Maryland crab soup. The pizza had great flavor and was on a thin crust pizza which always makes you feel like it's less calories so that was a plus. The calamari was fried and had a great flavor profile throughout the entire pizza. I would definitely order this again in the future after trying a few of the calzones. The wings were baked in the broiler which is exactly how I make my wings at home. That was a plus and the old bay seasoning was just right. I couldn't eat them all they were large and juicy. The Maryland crab soup was the failure out of everything. I couldn't find much crab in the soup but we are about an hour from Baltimore so I understand it not being amazing. read more

This Ledos, I truly believe is my favorite. I have been to at least 4 other locations. Not only are the servers always friendly but the food is always delish! Cooked just right. Other places can be less cheese, soft dough. Not a fan. Lets talk about another plus for this location, it has the special deal. $14.99 medium pizza and 6 wings. Is it dine-in your ask? Says carry-out, but have no fear they are flexible. I have eaten here lots of times. A few was for that special and the answer is... I got the deal as a dine in. The place is clean and they serve beer. Stella and ShockTop to name a couple. So the food is tastee, the service is always great, the place is super clean. What about parking? That's the tricky part. 4 spaces in front for carry-out, but next door is metered parking, bring lots of change! This location gets a Happy Eats! read more

I've been coming to this location for a while and things have been great for the most part. Today however wasn't the best experience. I picked up an online order for a pizza and boneless wings. Upon checking my pizza, I noticed it was very sloppy (bacon, spinach extra cheese, well done). Just thrown into the box. I brought it to the attention of the young lady at the counter and she had to call her manager to get the OK to make a new one while also making sure all the staff in the back knew that there was an issue. When I inquired about why it looked like that, she proceeded to tell me that's what pizzas look like when they have extra cheese ( which is absolute BS). Where's the quality control at this location? But what really rubbed me the wrong way, was there was no apology given for the inconvenience or for the additional wait. I explained this to her very nicely that a simple apology would have went a long way, and all she said was 'OK' with a blank stare. I probably won't be returning for a while. read more

How is it that I haven't been to a Ledo's in more than 15 years?! We're not talking gourmet 2 Amy's or unique Fire and Smoke Matchbox, but Ledo pizza is pretty darn good! And cheap! A small square cheese pizza (about the size of a dinner plate) is only $5.49! Toppings are only $0.75 extra. As you know, their pizza is thin crusted, so someone with a healthy appetite can easily polish off all nine small squares of their individual pizza. Medium cheese pizzas are $8.74 and a large is $13.24. You'll love their pizza if thin and chewy pizzas are your style. It's nice for a change. Service was friendly too. There are only a few spots for parking in front for pick-up only, but right next door is a moderate-sized County surface lot (free on Sunday). Just come early on Sunday before the line forms for Hollywood East across the street. read more

It isn't New York. However, Ledo gives you something that few other area pizza places can seem to pull together. 1) a good tasting pizza. Yes, the crust and sauce fail to live up to NY/NJ standards but the creative offerings, good ingredients, and thin square crust, are worth your time. 2) a place that is clean and doesn't look salmonella-inducing. You can see back to the prep area and everything looks clean and in order. 3) a staff that doesn't make you wonder about the future of the human race. My family's been dining on Ledo Pizza for over 60 years now. It's still the best in town. The Wheaton location is nicely appointed, always clean, with very friendly staff and management. Looking for a good pizza joint? If you live locally I highly suggest this place! We got an 18in pineapple pizza (yes pineapple belongs on pizza!) Their sauce is a little on the sweeter side and all the pizzas are thing crust in a rectangular fashion.
