Called in to book an appointment for 2. When we got there, the front clerk lady,Emily, was extremely rude and dismissive. We told her we had called in advance for the appointment and she said we were at the wrong place. I tried calling the number in front of her again and all of a sudden the number wasn't going through. Mind you, the whole time, the girl who was actually going to perform the massage was on the side signialing us to come (she was very sweet and welcoming). Since Emily said we didn't have an appointment and my number wasn't on her phone, we had to leave. Back in my car, I called the number again and it went though and I she confirmed the address we just left and the same phone number I booked the appointment through. We ended up canceling the appointment because of the lack of remorse and how RUDE Emily was!!! Wish I tipped the masseuse in retrospect but the experience was not pleasant and I truly believe she racially profiled us. i requested a 60 min sweedish massage and 30 foot massage. i received a 90 min massage that felt like deep tissue. i requested her to lighten the pressure 3 times. i let the front desk know at check out that i didn't get the services requested. it was close to closing time so they were not able to do a foot massage. UPDATE: i went back in for a foot massage and it was delightful. i think i had a bad expedites with one massage therapist. i've been a couple of times with a different person and it's been amazing! read more

I followed the reviews of a couple of other clients and requested Susan. First I requested a Swedish massage when I called and spoke to Sophia and she said yes they do this. But they do not really do Swedish massages as I have had Swedish massage many times. Susan didn't understand almost anything I said - spoke mainly Chinese. They use towels and not sheets which makes the body too hot (for me); I requested 60 minute massage and expected that the massage therapist would know that you do the back, the arms and the legs and thighs back and FRONT. By the time she got to my feel and I asked for front of legs to complete the overall feeling of a good massage, she said you have 5 minutes left - do you want more time almost as if she didn't finish so I would request and spend more money. read more

A perfect place to stop and relax while walking the city all day. Very clean and professional, compared to other similar options. I did a 45 minute reflexology appointment with a friend. We were able to sit next to each other in a private area, with comfy chaise lounges. It started with a quick foot soak and shoulder rub, and the reflexology was so amazing. This is a wonderful place to get a massage. The staff are professional. Have been 4 or 5 times and it's almost always a good experience. I will say that if you are unlucky enough to get a room on the first floor. Instead of in the basement. You will be disturbed by every customer that walks in and any conversation that takes place in the front room. That time was terrible. Other than that it's a great establishment and they are very good at what they do. Just request that you go downstairs. Everything here was great: massage, atmosphere, staff, price ($5 off if you come early)... I had 60 mins for $50 w/ that early special & they throw in complimentary hot stones for massage over $45. I would've loved more hot stone therapy time. The stones weren't incorporated into the massage as they could've been. So that's why no 5th star. They set you up with a comfy lounger near the front of the shop...yes, you can hear the phone ring occasionally and people checking in at the counter, but overall, it's a relaxing, calm, clean place with nice people. I've been to a few different low cost massage spots in the area and I think the prices here are probably the best. It's. No frills massage parlor so you get what you pay for, a no frills massage. The people who work here are very nice and friendly. The space is clean as well. I'd recommend calling in advance for a reservation though you likely don't need it. read more

I've been a regular customer since the spa opened. I enjoyed all my visits there with various masseuses but my go-to choice is Susan. After many visits with her, I learned a little about her. Being a doctor in China before she moved here, Susan sets herself apart with her knowledge of the body anatomy and I always appreciate her attitude to be willing to give her best. She listens to my complaints of bodily pain and adjusts her massage accordingly. What's better is she remembers it next time I visit and will ask if I'd still like to focus on certain pain spots. Lee89 is conveniently located and very clean and inviting. They are doing a thorough job of protection during the Covid crisis. When you come in, you put on shoe coverings, fill out a form to indicate your health status, and they take your temperature. The therapists wear both mask and face shield. This is the only place I get massages in NYC. Period. The environment is perfect for a relaxing massage - I see people on here complaining about noise or the fact that they have curtains - I really have never found that to be a problem. The massage itself is thorough and leaves me feeling fantastic. 5 star atmosphere 5 star staff friendliness 4 star massage I went here 4 weeks ago. I asked for my neck, shoulders and IT band to be worked on. Twice- and then a third time. I was extremely happy with the work on my IT band (pain free!)but the majority of time was spent on spots I didn't ask for- my neck and shoulders did not get the attention they needed at all. The intellect of tuina massages has always impressed me. I came in one day after a kickboxing fight and have been dealing with shoulder tightness after a surgery last year on top of that. Mia, my masseuse, took it to a new level. She didn't have to ask me about my tight spots because I could tell she knew the body incredibly well and could easily tell when she got to a knot or tight area as she would spend more time. For example, when she went to stretch my bad shoulder, she stretched a little, then released, worked some additional manipulation and kneading and then went back to stretching after loosening it up. I highly recommend Mia to any athlete, runner, or person who sits at a desk for hour on end. Every problem area - including a tight hamstring which has been putting pressure on my knee - she found it and released the tightness in my glute which was the root of the problem. Can't beat the price. I'm always wary of these spots thinking that something will be compromised because of the great value such as cleanliness, quality, etc. This is not the case with this place. Have been a few times and every visit as been amazing. I'm certified in Thai massage (trained in Chang Mai) so I'm pretty snobby when it comes to this type of massage.
