Worst massage in NYC. I left feeling as tense as I got there. The woman pulled my underwear all the way down exposing my entire butt. Then did more caressing of my butt than actual massaging of my glutes. I felt violated as a man. Then the worker refused to give me a receipt when I paid cash and said it was their policy. I thoroughly enjoy this place. Amenity Spa 90 has been a top tier massage staple in the neighborhood for quite some time. I've been coming here for the past 5 years roughly and have had pleasant experiences for the most part each time! They also come in clutch especially since they are so close by and open relatively late, until about 11:30PM or 12AM or so, on weekends anyway. They tend to get very busy (and for good reason) so it's best to schedule an appointment early as opposed to doing simple walk-ins. Karry the front desk manager is very kind and has always treated me very well! She is attentive and responsive She will do facials at times too, which are also very good, but no massages. That's what the rest of the staff is for. As for the massages, I can say most of them are very good! Coco, Ying, Gina, Ella and William are all very good therapists. It just depends on what your therapeutic needs are. (If you need deep tissue, relaxation, etc. It can vary, but each therapist is great in their own right. Simply take your pick!) I vehemently recommend this place, especially at the affordable price point. It could be a bit larger in size with more rooms, but there's not much that can be done about that, especially considering New York's real estate, and the rooms are still private enough. They do an amazing job of massaging you and making your body less tense! It is a bit on the lower end, there are curtain dividers between other people so you can definitely hear them deep breathing and moaning which detracted from my experience. But I felt like a brand new person coming out of it. I did the 60min massage and it felt great! I wish my person was more communicative and clear, but I'm honestly open-minded, free and not self conscious with my body. That being said I am in a vulnerable state and I can imagine anyone not comfortable being in their underwear and being rubbed down by some dude may be off putting or nerve wracking. Overall I recommend if you really need something done in a pinch to take out the knots and ease the tension in your back and neck. The facility was clean and nice. Definitely recommend end calling ahead to see if they have room before you go. They asked me if I wanted a man or a woman and usually I don't mind but this time I felt a bit uncomfortable. The guy pulled the towel and tucked it in my underwear but then continued to lower it. He put another towel over it but it didn't make it any better since it kept falling halfway past my butt. The massage consisted of an overdose of oil all over your body and then just rubbing it. Not really a massage to get the kinks out. He just kept spreading the oil all over my body and that was it. He would keep telling me to relax but it was so hard when the towel kept falling lower and lower and he could see that I kept pulling the towel up. At the end, he did stretches with my legs like a frog stretch or pull my arms up over my head and lift me up. The most weirdest massage ever. Overall, I won't be back. Super uncomfortable. read more

For what this place aims to be, this place is great. They aren't trying to up charge people and offer a snazzy deluxe spa feeling. They are what I consider middle tier but better than I anticipated. So read my review with balanced expectations... I came here on a whim. They accept walk-ins during the pandemic which is already pretty stellar in my book. Their prices are really great compared to what I have seen elsewhere in NYC, especially for being a larger space with some nice amenities and being in UES. At the time of this review, I paid $50 for a 1 hr full body massage with $20 tip for excellent service. On the topic of customer service, they are very straightforward and pleasant to speak with. I even had an opportunity to practice a little Mandarin. ;) The things I loved most and did not expect with such an affordable cost -- a great cubby space in the room to hang my clothes, keep my glasses safe, and place my bag so it's not on the floor. Also, surprise hot stone massage! Loved it! And my massage therapist Coco was very good at listening to my nonverbal cues, checking in with me, and adjusting her pressure accordingly. I hadn't had a massage since 2+ years and was a bit nervous since I can be extra sensitive to deep tissue & hard pressure massage. Coco is very skilled. I can see her being great with people wanting more intense massages but she lightened things up for me! Lastly, they gave me a punch card! It's possible to get a free massage if you get all the punches. This was an unexpected treat, something I've seen for coffee but not something I was expecting for massages! Love it! I used to love this place. Fabulous massages. For the last couple years- hard to get an appointment (no more walkins really) but that's ok. So, why are they getting one star? After making an appointment and waiting 20 minutes anyway (with no explanation, and having a walk in come in after and get attended to before me; I had a horrendous massage that completely messed up my joints. I asked MULTIPLE time to change. I said at LEAST half a dozen times that something was too painful. I should have ended the massage- that's on me. It kept going. I said the hot stones were too hot and to not do them- he took them off for 10 seconds, then did it anyway. And did NOT wipe the oil off my face neck or arms. Honestly. I love this place a lot and have come here a few times. The massages are almost always on point. I had Koko before and she was amazing! I went in last minute today for a full body massage and I had Sue. She had NO idea what she was doing. I had a lot of knots in my shoulder/back and she felt them but didn't bother to work on them at all! I specifically pointed to them and told her to work on it but she barely did anything more than pet me like a dog. She massaged one arm and didn't massage the other. Linda is one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. She can find the exact tight spot and work on it tirelessly until the tightness is gone. Best foot massage!! This place is extremely clean and has a nice interior. It is a great price I paid $80 for me and another person to get hour long foot massages which is a great price for the area. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that their foot massage wasn't your standard foot massage that you find at most UES massage spas....It was the intense, deep pressure kind that you normally find in Chinatown. You know...the kind that hurt! I was happy that the therapist was able to get some of the knots out in my calf and behind my knees, areas I neglect in my stretching routine. Right as we walked in we were greeted kindly. The place is very clean and the chairs are new and comfortable. We were shown to a private room that was also very clean and lit with a candle so it was very relaxing. As for the massage, they rubbed the right pressure points, but also weren't too aggressive.
