Very clean massage place with a serene environment. Very affordable prices. The quality of massage is amazing. I got a reflexology foot massage for 30 min from Cindy. They had very comfortable recliners so I could lie down. They lowered the lights so I actually lied down comfortably. Cindy applied even pressure on both feet and focussed on many different points. I could feel the stress going away. I also checked out the area where they give body massage- very quiet and very clean. I am coming in for body massage next. i called and was able to get an appointment the same day which is great. I got there 10 minutes early and was seen immediately. The massage was great, 90 minutes, at the end they asked if i wanted more time so i added another 15 minutes. Very happy overall, the place was clean, the people were nice, and it was very fairly priced. read more

I had an excellent massage here. My massage therapist was "Mina" and her hands packed a lot of power. I generally like "Asian No Frills" places with curtains for privacy that offer Tui Na massages. Lee 89 was a bit "more upscale" than other places I've been to (as far as decor) but the prices were just as good and the actual massage was one of the best. read more

Just found this gem in my neighborhood and have been once a week for the past month. Super affordable and every massage I've gotten has been great - arguably better then a massage at a fancy spa. I've had a different masseuse every time and get a great massage each time. Would highly recommend it. Doesn't have all the amenities of a spa but it is clean, quiet and spacious. read more

I was so happy to find this place in my neighborhood! I've gone to lots of similar seeming massage places in the area but spend most of the massage thinking, "is this good? Is it with the money?" Suffice to say if you have to ask yourself that, it's probably not. This place is GREAT! I've gone 5-6 times and had an amazing, thorough and intuitive massage each time. Had a one hour couples massage with me and my lady. It was ok. The girl massaging me was sniffly and coughing throughout so I don't know if I got the best massage possible from her. She was probably not feeling well so I got alot of elbow action as opposed to hand rubbing delight. Place was dreary but clean. A curtain separates you from the world so be prepared if you're shy. Overall, I would and will go back. 55 bucks for an hour massage is not bad at all. Hopefully I get less elbow and more "hands on" massage next time. Also, as a big plus, everyone there is super nice. I have been here a few times already. If you walk around the neighbourhood, you will not find a place which looks as nice as this one for the same price, and what matters most - the massage therapists here are great. They know what they are doing, they will use Chinese ointments if needed , they will carefully deal with any issues you have. The place is clean and neat, yes you can hear other people but other places will have a curtain between the massage tables not even doors lol , so i can deal with thin walls who cares ! and front desk staff here is really friendly. I hope they all will keep up the great job they are doing. read more

I've been here twice, both for sports recovery. The place is clean, the people are friendly, and the massages are fabulous. I did a 90 and then a 60 minute and both were fabulous. First they massage over a towel and then they pull it down and break out the oil. Hot stones are part of the deal. Both of the ladies who massaged me were professional and listened when I made requests. If you're body shy, be prepared for them to rub your glutes. It caught me off guard the first time but they're muscles too and they eased tension I didn't realize I was carrying there. The rates are really reasonable and it's worth every penny. Lee 89 Spa is one of the best massage parlors in the Upper East Side! I've been coming here for a few years & it's consistently amazing. Fantastic staff that makes everyone feel at home. Very prompt & attentive. The place is so clean always spotless! Nice place with great relaxing music, atmosphere & ambiance. Best of all the massages are FANTASTIC. The masseuse are all great & professional. They ask if you're comfortable & your preferred pressure. One of my favorites is Susan she's awesome! Very nice people, convenient, good value and you can book at the last minute. I had a 90 minute massage and it only cost $80 (pre-tax and tip). That said, you get what you pay for. The rooms are not private - there is a curtain that closes them off, you can hear everything happening in the other rooms, timers going off (keeping track of when the massage should be done), people coming up and down the stairs. At one point someone who works there actually came in the room to talk to my masseuse. I enjoyed the massage and will go back, but just be prepared that this is not a luxurious spa experience. read more

I had a great experience! Bought a massage for my birthday and was very happy. Despite the only separation from other guests being a curtain, it was pleasantly relaxing. I spent $55 for a 60min massage. If you spend over $45 they include the hot stones. Would definitely recommend this place. I will be coming again. read more

I just had one of the best massages ever with Lucy. I came in because I pulled a muscle on my lower back 2 days ago and I've been in a great deal of pin since. We had a 90 minute session. She really worked on my stiff muscles but was careful enough to check on my comfort level several times. I definitely can say she put in the extra effort and good energy to help me heal from my pain. I often get foot massages and this was not a good one. It appears they equate foot rub with foot reflexology. I don't consider smearing/rubbing oil onto my legs and feet for half the time to be considered relaxing. I asked 3 times for the masseuse to do it harder and that I like it very hard and she did not adjust. Overall pretty disappointed. I like that they have foot reflexology chairs and a section for it, too bad they aren't being used properly. Won't be returning. read more

Had a pretty good hour-long massage for less than $60. The place is quaint, although a bit cramped. I could hear the voices from the treatment room next door, and some other random noises. Walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of this massage parlor. The prices are very affordable. The man at the front desk was very kind and let me in right away. The prices here are half of what you would pay elsewhere (or more than half) and it seemed very popular, with a lot of people in and out. An hour massage is around $55 and if you want aromatherapy in the oil, it's another $10. You have your choice of time lengths, which is nice, if you want something shorter or longer. They also do reflexology. Very reasonable prices and again, much less expensive than the fancier places. I also really like that they have nighttime hours that go beyond early evening. The down side is that, as others have said, there are only curtains in the (small) spaces and you can hear everything from alarms going off (every few minutes) to toilets flushing. (They did have relaxing music piped in but I highly recommend they also get some white noise machines.) So it won't feel like a complete escape, but you will get a decent massage at a great price. They seem to have a big staff for the size and there were professional licenses displayed over the front desk (important in this day and age). The room and table seemed clean but I couldn't tell if there was separate material to cover the face opening that could be changed. (I hope so!) read more
