The coconut taste like mint, the Maui mud pie is stale, the chocolate taste like perfume...ugh!!! There is a number on the bottom...is this the expiration date? Was is last year? Is it when it was made? Buyer beware! We opened it to slice a sample of each for dessert with a group. Everyone agrees something is "off" with this award winning fudge. Feeling very disappointed and irritated that I'm out $39.60. I should've just put two $20s into the trash, cuz that's where this is going.

The third time I saw them was when my husband & I were randomly strolling through Front Street in Lahaina. I thought to myself, "That packaging looks really familiar... Oooo, they have sweets. Let's go in!" Sure enough, it was the same company with the turtle fudge AND they were selling them individually. The girl at the counter was really friendly and informative, telling us how the fudge is all made on Maui, how they used to make everything in this tiny Lahaina shop, but now have 2 locations (another one in the Kihei Triangle). In the Kihei location, they also hold their fudge making class, which I've heard about and have been wanting to try. I had no idea it was the same company. It was all coming together! The same girl proudly told us she had samples of every single flavor and happily obliged when we asked for specific flavors. As much as I loved the turtle flavor, I ended up randomly getting the Maui mud pie. Go figure! I "just knew" I would like that flavor and I do! She also gave us a sample of the toffee and I picked up a box as a gift for someone. Both are delicious ~ Actually, all their flavors are good! In addition to fudge & toffee, they also sell taffy and coconut candy. Everything in their little shop is $8.50. $8.50 for one little block of fudge, you say?! YEP. I'll pay for a good product that I want & will enjoy ++ you're supporting local. I've paid less for other fudge on island and most of it goes to waste :( This stuff is legit! They do offer a small kamaaina discount and I was given a rewards card to use for return visits. The reason we visit here is for their mochi. The mochi is some of the best I've ever had, and I have been to Japan to try theirs. The flavors are chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, and azuki bean (red bean). I'm not a peanut butter fan nor chocolate, so I just ate the red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and the red bean filling is not too sweet and filled with a good amount of it. Since it is a family business, the hours are fluctuate constantly. There was ample parking at the store where the tour left from. We took an air-conditioned sprinter van slightly up the hill to get to the land where the cocoa beans are actually grown. Our tour guide was Gabriel and he was extremely knowledgeable. After learning all about the process of growing, harvesting, and drying the cocoa beans, we got to partake in a delicious sampling in what can only be described as an adult "treehouse". With 360 panoramic views, and a wonderful breeze, we listened as Gabriel explained the various chocolates we were sampling and I thoroughly enjoyed each and everyone. Once back at the shop, we had the opportunity to purchase chocolate and also try a variety of items from their café menu if we wanted (for additional charge). I hired Cravings Bakery on Maui through my wedding concierge from my venue. We sampled a few flavors and were pleased with the taste so we decided to move forward with them as our selection. I sent a picture of the exact cake I wanted and was told they could recreate it no problem. Closer to the wedding I again emailed them about specifications which were again confirmed. When entering the reception I initially saw my cake and was heartbroken. It looked absolutely nothing like my cake. They used fake flowers instead of sugar flowers (or real flowers in the least) and the cake looked cheap overall. After the wedding I tried to contact them to rectify this issue and voice my concerns and was ignored. I sent a total of 3 emails to the same address previously used and the one that is on their website. I even filled out the feedback form on the website. I have still not heard anything back from them. They have terrible customer service and follow up. They got paid and have since given me the run around not caring if their client is satisfied. I would not recommend them to anyone, more so based on their lack of professionalism than anything else.
