Unfortunately, to this office, I was not blue enough. They are Still with the must mask stuff. I emailed back, 'but you're an office where everyone holds their mouths open for extended periods of time, how can this be? that's ridiculous.' So, by email, my son's appointment was CANCELLED. So: if you are very submissive and passive, and think as consumers, you must meekly just shut up and do whatever your doctor says without being allowed to ask any questions, then this is the office for you! I called to ask a follow-up question regarding the cost of consultation if my dentist were to send the x-ray (dentist has also encouraged me to try and ask). I called 408-446-5157 and was speaking to a lady (unknown name, but might have a Chinese-like accent). I can't believe how incredibly rude, condescending, and acting of high status she was! A simple, "unfortunately, we can't do that since the oral surgeon has to see his own X-rays and make sure....". Instead I got a "you know this is an oral surgeon right?". She then goes on about how they do not accept anyone from the STREETS! That their business is "old-school" and is by referrals only. I was so shocked by her choice of words and attitude that I couldn't bring myself up to say anything but "okay". She kept going on with this same theme and attitude and eventually the call came to a close when she basically sounded like she was sick of my "okay"s and hung up. I don't know how high class she thinks she is or the place she is working at, but really? Since they "don't accept anyone from the streets" and only by referrals, does she think potential patients do not deserve any customer service and RESPECT. If anyone is reading this and wants to be treated with respect and kindness, PLEASE do not try and talk with this lady. I don't think it matters how good or kind a surgeon may be, the first interaction is always the receptionist/front desk. read more

Dr. Lee charges quite a lot more than his peers if you don't have insurance. Consultation was $300 (just talks), full mouth X-ray was another $300, and extraction was $800+ (because the tooth was 'surgically removed). I went to a different oral surgeon after feeling being had. Consultation was $150 with a full mouth exam, CT scan was $250, and extraction was $226 (and it was a rather complicated extraction with a split tooth). Expenses aside, Dr. Lee could have been more thorough with his work. When I did grafting (at a different clinic), we found out that the extraction Dr. Lee performed did not thoroughly clean the extraction site to avoid root cavity infection. Buyers beware. read more

I want to make sure everyone reads my story about the diagnosis I received from this office several years ago. I came to see Dr Calvin Lee due to pain, swelling and infection on the lower right area in my mouth. I even brought in a recent periapical and panoramic x-ray. Dr Lee diagnosed my problem was due to a blocked salivary duct under my tongue and told me to continue to take my antibiotics and come back in a week to follow up. He only looked at the x-ray and just looked in my mouth without touching any teeth or gum. $100.00 later I left his office unsatisfied with the diagnosis and continued to suffer extreme pain. Already unable to sleep or eat due to such pain, 4 days after I saw Dr Lee I sought out an ear, nose throat specialist and was told there was no fluctuance or evidence of any salivary gland blockage. I had an infection which was due to my lower right implant that had surrounding edema and induration. Abscess was draining from the socket behind my tooth when the Dr touched it and that the implant had to be removed immediately. I had phoned and written a letter to Dr Lee's office and informed them of their misdiagnoses and requested a refund. I was met with skepticism and they requested that the specialist send a letter of his diagnosis which they did. I was brushed off and no refund was ever given. As soon as another dentist removed my implant the prblem was resolved. Because I am a cancer patient it was my body rejecting the implant. Dr Lee's office was well aware of my medical condition which I had filed out on their health history form. There are many oral surgeons out there. Their secretarys are not even friendly or helpful. I hope no one has to suffer like I did. read more

If you want an oral surgeon that will really put you at ease, Dr. Lee is your man. I had all four wisdom teeth removed by him with only local anesthesia and had a near perfect experience. He was very detailed in our initial consultation, welcoming questions and answering them thoroughly. He prescribed me pain medication and antibiotics prior to our surgery so I could take one before the actual procedure. He conversed with me almost casually throughout the entire surgery, which took less than an hour. I did feel some pain when he was removing my lower right molar, but Dr. Lee was very responsive in applying additional anesthesia. Apart from a little bit of swelling and lightheadedness, I felt almost back to 100% in the hours after the surgery. His post-op instructions were very specific and helpful and he even called me that same evening to see how I was doing. His staff was also very friendly and accommodating. My only critique of Dr. Lee's whole operation is that, as good as he and his team were, they seemed extremely busy. I had to wait a good 40 minutes at my initial consultation and the receptionist repeatedly forgot to call in my prescription to the local drugstore. Dr. Lee admitted to me that during the holidays (i.e. when students are on break), he sometimes does as many as 8 or 9 procedures a day! Nevertheless, if you want your wisdom teeth removed by a seasoned and relaxed professional, this is the guy to go to. read more

I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday. He's a reallly nice guy. He explained to me everything that he was going to do. He's really nice and calm. His voice made me at ease. He made sure I was numb before pulling out my teeth. I didnt know that my teeth was gone until he told me! :0 All I felt was pressure... He told me all the risks that I would experience. He's a great guy. Really good for pulling out your teeth. He called up later at night to check up on me. read more

I had wisdom teeth extraction with doc. Calvin and it went well. However, even though i am within the network, they still charges me upfront and told me that i would get refund afterwards. It took two months to mail the final refund. When i didn't received it, i was told to bear the bank cancellation fee of $35 myself. When i suggested they should use the certified mail, office manager said it doesn't happen often, so there is no need. Just because it doesn't happen often enough, so those like me have to bear additional costs? Why can't they charge the insurance directly given mine is already within the network or give me the option to pick up check in person? read more

The guy made everything so painless for me...I took out all my wisdom teeth at his office and he also performed 2 tooth implants on me. I will get the third done soon. He is the best of the best....My wife had 4 wisdom teeth taken out by him and I had 2. It was almost painless. No one could have done a better job than he. The man is simply amazing...He pays attention to all your needs, explains everything to you, all the risks and the best methods to give as little pain as possible for the client. My wife has also done 2 dental implants with him and she feels great. Both implants were a success. We would greatly recommend this place. Dr. Lee is very nice as well as his staffs. I had 4 tooth took off 3 years ago and an implant recently. I didn't feel any pain during the surgery and afterward, and it recovered very fast. Dr. Lee care about how his patients feel all the time. He explained all the details for me before and during the surgery. He also gave me a call on the evening to check on me. let me first start by saying - i'm one of those ppl that hates going to the dentist. i probably haven't been to one in 6 years but i had no choice. i had a bad tooth that i needed to get extracted. dr. lee was very professional and has a very laid back calm demeanor. he also lets you choose what kind of anesthetic you want (local, gas, major put under). i thought that was a huge plus. my surgery and recovery were quick and painless. i hardly even felt the shot. read more

Dr Lee did an awesome job with my impacted wisdom teeth extraction. The initial consultation was very interactive, he explained in detail why extraction is a good idea and he let me choose how many teeth I wanted to get extracted. He was not at all pushy like my dentist to get all four removed. He patiently answered all my questions. During the procedure, he was very patient and careful. He spoke often and kept saying it would be done quickly. It definitely calmed me down. His assistant also did a good job before the procedure and made me feel comfortable. I had no pain the day after surgery. I had my husband call the office twice after the surgery for some questions. The assistant answered and happily answered all our questions. My husband had wisdom teeth here. My 11 years boy extract 4 teeth for bracelet without any problem(my family dentist is so afraid of son, he is easy gaging and super sensitive to see dentist) . He explain clearly and answer your questions reponsively and let you worry free of your question. He is care about patient's post surgery and requested to check the wound every week after surgery to make sure O.K. to prevent further big problem. I have myslef bone graft surgery here for implant. After consultation here ( I have consulted 3 implant doctor with fee), I decide to implant by Dr. Calvin Lee beacuse I feeled he is really care to offer bigger , deeper implant for patient, even though he has to do seperate surgeory to add bone powder A LOT for building up teeth foundation ) with very reasonable price. Not like the other implant doctor, add little bone powder at the same time when implant but charge you high price. read more
