I highly recommend Dr. Lee…read more Here's the rundown: For lower wisdom teeth extraction, there is always the risk of nerve damage. Dr. Lee has a lot of experience when it comes to evaluating this risk, and he uses surgical techniques to avoid nerve damage. That is the #1 reason why I recommend Dr. Lee for lower wisdom teeth removal. Typically, your dentist will x-ray the tooth, evaluate it, and refer you to Dr. Lee. Ask your dentist to email the x-ray to Dr. Lee. For both of my wisdom teeth, the dentist x-ray was sufficient; Dr. Lee did not need to take additional pano x-rays to evaluate the situation. Very convenient, and it avoids radiation. If your wisdom tooth is an "easy extraction" and not impacted, go for local anesthesia (Novocaine) instead of IV sedation. Dr Lee is great at injecting Novocaine and NOT hitting a nerve. During the extraction, you will not feel pain; you only feel pressure. You can drive yourself to/from the clinic, and there are fewer limitations on eating/drinking beforehand. It's also cheaper than IV sedation. During the extraction, for the lower wisdom teeth, they may use a hammer and chisel to crack the tooth into pieces before pulling out the roots; that is a little unnerving, but not a big deal. Dr Lee is fast; he extracted each tooth in about 7 minutes. Dr. Lee has an assistant in the operating room who is highly skilled; that person does quite a bit of the work (the aforementioned hammer/chisel). It is freezing cold in the operating room. Wear thick pants and a long sleeve shirt. They have a blood pressure cuff constantly checking your blood pressure, so avoid thick fleece/sweaters. For lower wisdom teeth, you'll need to irrigate the socket after eating, for up to 6 weeks; not a big deal, just be aware of it.

Dr…read more Reid was wonderful, polite, attentive, and remembered my concerns etc. He asked me ahead of time about taking an anti-anxiety for my next implant. Cool. He informed me that he had to remove a very aggressive infection - so scary. I'm extra relieved and hope it's all gone. In March of 2020, I needed two emergency root canals during shelter in place. A head trauma had caused my [now extracted] molar and its neighboring crowned tooth [also newly extracted] to crack and infect. I am immensely relieved that Dr. Reid helped me-my head and jaw aches have been horrendous for 2 years (my dentist couldn't find any infections, so going to B&R was the logical next step to take). I assumed they were migraines and TMJ, but feared an infection. My teeth were relatively heathy until 10 years ago. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a 'Crest Kid' or anything (old fart reference), but now it feels like the middle age damn has broken. Lol. I'm a friggin warrior with kidney and gallstones, c-sections... but teeth have always needed more TLC. This, coupled with bizarrely long recovery times, a need for extra anesthesia or novocaine, and a middle aged low pain threshold [especially for teeth], I have been very anxious about having any dental work the last decade. Overly nonchalant doctors scare me, and Dr. Reid's improved attentiveness felt like a godsend. Assistant Monica helped me with an early prep packet, and gave me info about what drug I would take (should I choose to have something for anxiety next time - yes!). She also took my X-rays, and very kindly made me a CD of them for me (upon request). Nichelle was as wonderful as always, and Mary was kind and helpful. My daughter was very impressed! The procedural assistant (Alicia) who got angry looked annoyed as she silently walked by (too egocentric to assume it's about my last interaction with her). It's for the best, as I'm still miffed about being berated like a child in front of an operating/procedure room full of adults. It was unprofessional in my book, and made far too personal than it needed to be (perhaps consider that I was scared and didn't do it on purpose?). I'm also trying to forgive myself over my part of it, obviously. Regardless, I saw an immense change in everyone else. Pain management remains to be seen after my next implant, but I'm extremely relieved after today's visit.

Nonetheless, I had to go to an oral surgeon because I cracked a wisdom tooth and, as my dentist put it, that one's a goner. My dentist highly recommended Dr. Mogre. I turned up with great fear and trepidation to a consult meeting with Dr.Mogre. The man entered the room, and with him came wave of calm and a sense that I was in the presence of a real professional. We spoke of the offending wisdom tooth, that it needed to go, and he went through the procedure in great detail, how to prepare for it, what medications he was going to prescribe before the procedure, the healing process and so on. The more he spoke, the more relaxed I became. He's a man who got my trust quickly. Then came D-Day and despite the best efforts of valium, I was a bundle of nerves. Again, Dr. Mogre walked me through what he was going to be doing and explained that the only pain I would feel was the anesthetic needle, after which I would feel nothing but a sense of pressure and some noise. He was right about the needle hurting but they always do. He was right that I wouldn't feel any pain once the anesthetic had set in. He went into my mouth with some weird looking steel instrument and less than 60 seconds later, the tooth was out. Then there was the usual dose of suction, water jets, more suction followed by a gauze installed over the wound which I was to bite and hold for an hour and change as needed for a fresh one. At times during the procedure, including the anesthetic injection, my fear was very apparent. He was very conscious of and tuned into my fear and spoke encouragingly and gently to me and that really helped me get through it. He has, as a my mother would say, a very soothing bedside manner. And that was it. All done. Quick, where's the door! In all seriousness, he is the best doctor I've ever been too. Some people are good at what they do, others are just plain gifted. Dr. Mogre is the latter. I would highly recommend that if you need to go to an oral surgeon in Silicon Valley, go to Dr. Mogre. He is really really good.

I did not receive the refund, so I called the office. The office told me that they had sent the refund to me by check. Since I did not receive the check, I asked that the check be reissued. They refused, saying that in order to do so, they would need to cancel the existing check, which would incur a $30 fee from the bank, so I would end up owing them money. I pointed out if no action is taken, then my refund stays in their checking account, which does not seem like the correct outcome. They indicated that they might refund the money when the existing check expires (when the bank will no longer honor the existing check). I called their bank, who told me that after 180 days, it would no longer honor the check. I sent an email to the office, ask them to confirm that I will receive my refund after 180 days. After a week, there was still no response... I asked Cigna, my insurer for help. The Cigna representative called the office with me on a 3-way call. The office reiterated their position as described above. However, after several days, I received a call in which they told me they would re-issue the check without waiting for 180 days.
