While Dr. Fujimoto is sweet and good at his job, the office staff is unbelievably rude and condescending. We called today for a simple inquiry and the lady who picked up our call, Carmen, had the most rude and hostile tone despite us maintaining our cool and calmness. It has made the experience of dealing with this practice so much worse than it has to be. Due to how awful that experience was I cannot recommend this practice in good faith while having such subpar customer service. If this attitude is maintained by the office staff it will not bode well for customer retention. read more

I called to ask a follow-up question regarding the cost of consultation if my dentist were to send the x-ray (dentist has also encouraged me to try and ask). I called 408-446-5157 and was speaking to a lady (unknown name, but might have a Chinese-like accent). I can't believe how incredibly rude, condescending, and acting of high status she was! A simple, "unfortunately, we can't do that since the oral surgeon has to see his own X-rays and make sure....". Instead I got a "you know this is an oral surgeon right?". She then goes on about how they do not accept anyone from the STREETS! That their business is "old-school" and is by referrals only. I was so shocked by her choice of words and attitude that I couldn't bring myself up to say anything but "okay". She kept going on with this same theme and attitude and eventually the call came to a close when she basically sounded like she was sick of my "okay"s and hung up. I don't know how high class she thinks she is or the place she is working at, but really? Since they "don't accept anyone from the streets" and only by referrals, does she think potential patients do not deserve any customer service and RESPECT. If anyone is reading this and wants to be treated with respect and kindness, PLEASE do not try and talk with this lady. I don't think it matters how good or kind a surgeon may be, the first interaction is always the receptionist/front desk. I was so nervous to have my wisdom teeth out in my late 20's. I am also usually very reluctant to attend medical offices with all 5 star reviews (sometimes you show up and it's horrible) but was pleasantly surprised. First off, the staff is great. Every time I went in (initial consultation, pre-surgical run-through, appointment, follow-up). The best part is that they walk you through all the expenses and estimate how much you will pay out of pocket (I have Metlife and they covered a decent amount of the procedure). If you pay more than what insurance covers they refund you - this is what happened to me and they did indeed do a timely refund. I was given the option for intravenous or local anesthesia. Dr. Lee ensured I knew what I was signing up for and he was cautious given my petite frame. He explained the details and was very patient while I asked many questions. I went with the intravenous sedation and had a very pleasant experience. Thank you Dr. Lee and amazing staff for being so kind throughout this experience. read more

Had one wisdom tooth extracted this morning and have to write a 5 star review because Dr.Fujimoto did such an amazing job! I'm so grateful that it went as smooth and painless as I could have ever hoped it to be. I was seriously freaking out like crazy walking in! He talks to you the entire time to make sure you're feeling ok and also explains what's going on. The roots of my teeth were not straight so he had to spend some extra time getting them out. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back when I need another teeth pulled. :) read more

Had three implants sucessfully from 2009 and on. Dr. Lee was very good with implant. I still have them working well after all these years.

Ended up settling with Dr Lee. He claims he is honest, which is why over the last 30 years, he has learned to have all of his patients sign waivers before he performs his procedures. My son was given less than five minutes to sign 10 pages of waivers. Doubt he knew what he was agreeing to or waiving. Bottom line, for all four wisdom teeth plus laughing gas, total bill came out to over $2200 that I paid out of pocket exclusive of insurance. Very honest? read more

While doctors are really nice and professional, office staff are not. I have two active insurances to cover kids teeth extraction, one insurance paid majority cost for similar extraction before. Office assistant insisted to charge full amount on my credit card for consultation and x-ray, saying insurance not paid yet. Hello? What's the point of having any insurance if patient has to pay full amount upfront? Then I request to delay charge on my personal credit card and charge on my FSA card next visit which is 1 week away, got denied. Furthermore, I requested to use personal card to pay today and next time, credit money back to my personal card, and charge on my FSA card, also negative. 75% of the American have Dental Fear, and I am one of them. So finding a oral surgeon is a daunting task especially after the visit to Dr. Joy Wang (see my review on this one). I am very please with Dr. Fujimoto because he makes sure that you are comfortable with the procedure and he minimizes the fear that I have for this surgical process.It was a difficult case for any oral surgeon to remove my wisdom teeth , even Dr. Fujimoto said it himself,because all my wisdom teeth were touching a nerve that could potentially result in nerve damage which can permanently disrupted my sense of taste, now that is a big deal to me because no taste bud means can't taste Good Food , which leads to very depressing life Outcome: I am not depress because my taste bud are working perfectly fine !! read more

Oh my gosh! This place is the best! Dr.'s Fujimoto and Lee are excellent, very personable and extremely good at what they do. I have been here about 4 times and they are consistently great. Not just good but GREAT!. The staff is incredible too. When I go here I always feel like I matter. They answer all of my questions, take great care of me and have excellent communications. I highly recommend the entire office. if you are looking for an oral surgeon, this is the place to go! Wow! I never looked at the reviews for Fujimoto and Lee (I was referred here by my regular dentist), but looking to the right I see that everyone else feels the same as I do about Dr Fujimoto, Dr Lee and their staff. Had an app. today Friday! doctor did not show up...receptionist said he was sick and she tried to call me, it is a lie I was home and had no message. She also said she has a note to say they tried the day before, they had my email too so that is another lie. I have been waiting for weeks for this app. as the doctor was on vacation...I don't believe that he is sick. I just think they run their business under the impression that we are fools or they don't care as they lie and getaway with it. There is no consideration for the patients time or inconvenience. I wish some agency could run such people out of business. She could not reschedule my appointment until next month, when I have my vacation planned and my tooth is infected. I have to get another recommendation and start all over again...how frustrating is that? read more

Really quick wisdom teeth removal. Fujimoto talked me through the whole process and had a very easy going attitude which put me at ease. They made sure I would be in no pain and that I would be comfortable. My one complaint is how rude the receptionist is. We were told that a 10% discount would be given with cash and yet when they didn't have the change, the rudely (rudely and with an attitude) asked my mom to run out and get some. Shouldn't it be 1. The clinic's responsibility to have change and 2. The customer is always right, right? So what's with the attitude? We definitely were not being rude so I was pretty confused as to where this hostility was coming from. Other than the terrible receptionist, the dental assistant was kind and made sure to chat with me. I say fire the front desk lady and my experience would be a 10/10 instead of a 9/10. read more

Dr. Fujimoto has replaced just about all of my real teeth with implants over the past 32 years; i think i have paid for his daughters' college educations :-) He was recommended by my dentists at Sunnyvale Dental who still take care of my remaining teeth. Both my dentist and Dr. Fujimoto especially relax my nervousness with their lighthearted humor and banter during their painless treatments. After a gap of about 10 years, i had to see Dr, Fujimoto again to remove a tooth that broke off and just a tiny inside edge piece remained above the gum. He said he had worked on such a case only once before :-) Anyway, he put the cotton swab on the gum above the tooth to numb it before the novocaine shot, which he gave a minute or two later. It felt like a tiny pinch as he wobbled my cheek to lessen the sensation of the pinch. After the first injection, he numbed two or three other areas to numb all the nerves to that tooth. It took 15 or 20 minutes of tugging to remove the broken tooth and it was indeed pain-free! Better still, it didn't hurt afterward! Dr. Fujimoto's work has lasted for decades without any problems. His staff is friendly and respectful and i've never had a billing problem. If you're looking for lasting implants you cannot find anyone better than Dr. Fujimoto. read more

Dr. Fujimoto is great. He removed my two lower wisdom teeth and everything went very smoothly. His staff is very friendly and professional and everyone does a great job at making you feel at ease. Throughout the procedure he was continually checking in to make sure I was doing okay and he always warned me about what I might be feeling, like "okay, you are going to feel a little pressure, let me know if it bothers you too much." I had two teeth implant in Dr. Fujimoto's clinic earlier this year. He is no doubt an experienced and skillful dental surgeon. However, when I first spoke to his admin, I was told my insurance pays 50% ($2500) and I have to pay 50% ($2500). I immediately paid my part $2500 even before all the procedure started. During the treatment, I was told again that my insurance was going to pay less than 50%. Therefore, I have to pay the remaining $500. Before the stage 2 starts which is involved the cut and install the abutment, his clinic tried to collect $500. Due to my family emergency and health issue I was not able to go to his clinic in the summer. I was planning to go back to his clinic after I fully recovered as advised by my medical doctor. Surprisingly, I received a bill from the collection agent. As soon as I received the bill, I enclosed a $500 check and explained why I was unable to go back in August. Two weeks later, I still received the bill from the collection agent saying this $500 has been reported to my credits. After I called his clinic, I found out the $500 check was sitting in his mail for two weeks because he was on vacation. When I called his clinic, they were not willing to take care of restoring my credits. I was quite frustrated and disappointed by the way Dr. Fujimoto's clinic handled. 1. They should have communicated with me by phone or by certified mail before they sent the bill to the collection agent. 2. The service has not been completed. I still need to go back to finish stage 2. Overall, I felt they treated me in a pretty hostile manner. I don't feel the respect that a patient deserves. I am a positive professional and never wrote this type of negative comments on Yelp. It was my first time to have such experience in my life. What I really hope is the thorough communication and respect with his patients in particular with regard to the financial part can be significantly improved. read more

Dentists/oral surgeons are my least favorite type of doctor--I absolutely hate when people start messing with my teeth/gums. Needless to say, I was very anxious about getting three of my wisdom teeth removed this past week. However, I was SO pleased with how things went with Dr. Fujimoto. For my pre-op consultation, he made it a point to address all of my concerns and was incredibly patient with me. For the procedure itself, was so attentive to how I was doing throughout the procedure, he made it as painless as possible. I have been seen by Dr. Fujimoto two separate times. The first was to extract my bottom wisdom teeth and the second was a few years later to extract my top wisdom teeth. Both experiences went smoothly. The bottom wisdom teeth extractions had more pain/swelling afterwards, but he warned me about this during the consultation and after the procedure. The upper wisdom teeth extractions were definitely a lot better in terms of pain/swelling and recovery time. Both of the procedures were painless and Dr. Fujimoto is really good about making sure that you are comfortable. My younger brother will be seeing Dr. Fujimoto when his time comes to extract his wisdom teeth, and I would highly recommend him to anyone! read more

Dr. Lee did an awesome job on a tooth extraction for me. He has a very calm demeanor that just puts you at ease. I couldn't feel much during the procedure since I was numb, but he must've been pretty gentle cause I didn't need to take much pain killers after the procedure. I went to Dr. Fujimoto to have 4 wisdom teeth removed based on his good Yelp reviews and his price. I was extremely satisfied with his care and excellent follow up. Like other reviewers have said, he is very personable and has a refreshing sense of humor. I would like to comment on a bad review he recently got. I was originally scheduled for surgery on 2/16/17 in the early morning. I was called a little before I was set to leave the house and told that the doctor was ill and they had to reschedule me. Since I was new to his office, the thought did cross my mind, "I wonder if he is just taking a mental health day, ignoring the impact on patients", but I easily decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Although I didn't voice my concern, the receptionist said Dr. Fujimoto rarely took a sick day, and the doctor told me at the rescheduled date that he had been laid up in bed with a very bad cold. I had family and friends who also were getting worse than usual colds and I had no reason to think Dr. F was not being honest. He has been very responsive and available to all the post-op concerns I had and I highly recommend him. I was even hoping he would be able to do a crown that needed replacing, but he only does oral surgery. read more
