Clearly, if you don't look carefully, those bad reviews are easily buried. The nurses were incredibly rude. I asked them to return my dog to me, but they kept lying, telling me to wait ten minutes, five minutes, then two minutes. It was ridiculous. They deceived me and made me wait in the room for over an hour, yet they still refused to return my dog. Finally, I told them that if they didn't give my dog back, I would call the police immediately. Only then did they return my dog to me. What's absurd is that when they handed my dog back, they cursed and said my dog would definitely die. The nurse thought I couldn't understand English and was shockingly brazen. I guess they were angry because they didn't make enough money off of me. When I told them I wouldn't pay their exorbitant fees, they immediately suggested euthanizing my dog. It was unbelievably cruel. In the end, I went to another hospital where my dog received excellent care.

They charged me ten dollars to throw the needle in the sharps container. The practice is Animal Clinic Downtown 2223 E 23rd St, Chattanooga. They have turned waste disposal into a profit center. Example: Ten (probably on the low side) disposed needles a day times a 5 day work week, times 4 weeks in a month comes to... 200 approx needles in a month @ $10 equals $2000 a month!!! Has anyone else ever been charged for this? Disposal companies such as Stericycle charge WAY under this amount.

If you're coming for cat products, you have some options, but not as much compared to the big chain stores. They even have a dog wash station! The self wash stations are available by appointment and also on a first come, first serve basis. The stations close at 6 pm Monday through Saturday and close at 4 pm on Sundays. Wash and dry time is limited to 30 minutes total per dog and costs about $15 per dog. Add on's (de-shed, for example) are available too. A rewards program is also offered in which you can obtain points and use them for a discount when a certain threshold in reached. Also, check their website for monthly promos, too! Lastly, we were also told they have two sister stores as well: Play Wash Pint (barks and brews) and Play Wash Stay (boarding and daycare). We look forward to checking out each one. Just love this place! Everything you need for your furry friends is here with exceptional staff, who are very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Oh, how much we wish we met Dr. Smith when Maia was younger... Maia got really sick and we brought her to CHAI for her last visit, 2 weeks ago. The room where we said a final good bye to Maia was specially decorated for such an occasion. The two precious, compassionate, kind and caring young ladies made Maia and us feel loved and understood. We cried a lot and they gave us plenty of last moments with Maia, frequently checking on us. Dr. Smith took her time to comfort us and was compassionate and caring. We cried and Dr. Smith cried with us. We were really touched and we will never forget how special they made us feel in one of the most vulnerable and devastating time in our lives. Today, we received a hand written card from CHAI written by multiple members, with beautiful personal messages about Maia. We cried again as we read their wishes for us. We are not sure when/ if we will get another puppy/dog, but we know who is going to take care of them, Dr. Smith and the staff at CHAI.

I told them I'd wait another 15 mins (would have been 45 mins past my appt time). So, the front desk clerk (technician?) apparently went to the only doctor working that day, and the doctor said it's going to be more than 45 mins (past my appt time) -- maybe longer before I would get seen. Mind you, I arrived early and all my paperwork was complete. I told the tech that I'd go ahead and leave. They said, "Well, yes, we can make you another appointment." I said, "No, I won't be coming back here." I spent all that time doing the paperwork and packing my pet up to go to the appointment, and that's it. How would you feel if this happened to you? OK, I get it, you may have only one doctor there that day; however, you are all about texting/phoning the client, so, why didn't you give me text/call letting me know the situation (they had no shortage of people up front), and I could have rescheduled without having to go to the appointment, to only sit there all that time. My pet was in the carrier the whole time, and was more concerned about it than my time. There was no engagement with the techs up front. I had to do all the engaging and asking questions. Noone ever came to check up on me or anything until I started engaging with them (being proactive) 30 minutes into my wait. I will hopefully find a good, engaging, economical veterinarian for my pet, in the Chattanooga area. I will use Yelp to help me find the best that my pet deserves. The girl looks at me and says I have no idea she goes but you did sign off on liability. At this time, I just wanna get Delilah home, but I wanted to come across the counter and ring her neck I looked at her and I said I signed off on liability, not negligence. You have veterinarians right next-door. Something happened to her and she should've been seen. After going to an emergency veterinarian in downtown Chattanooga $8000 later, my dog who just turned four in 2025 is handicapped. She has damage to her back vertebrae's and her anal sphincter. So in other words when she has to go poop, her little nub will go straight up in the air, I have to run to get her outside. She has no control. She also can't wag her nub anymore either I would never recommend this place and I have medical records to back up improve what I'm saying is the truth. I now have a dog that if I need to board her and I have found a boarding facility that I do love she has to wear a diaper. Biggest mistake I have ever made, and I have to live with this for the rest of my life. And unfortunately, so does Delilah.
