I really like the dogs could walk the grass in the back, where the staff come out to you to get the dogs, causing little stress to me and my pet. I find walking my dogs into the vets office waiting area, give my dogs such stress and anxiety. It was a relief being called after the procedures to update me on their recovery and let me know the pickup window. The fee included a rabies shot, which was excellent and convenient. Both my pups came home in good spirits; My dog did not appear to experience any pain or suffering. Thhe pain-calming medication was affordable. My pups incision sites healed perfectly. Chatty-Neuter even offered flea meds available for the year following surgery, which was also very reasonably priced. I would recommend Chatt-neuter to anyone who needs to spay or neuter a cat or dog. An all around very positive experience.

We called to schedule weeks ago and asked for an estimated price, we were told $300 and decided to move forward because we really enjoy the vet overall and have had a good experience thus far. Once we got there (he had taken the medication necessary too) we asked again how much they thought it would cost and said $425ish. We were confused and said oh, we called previously and were quoted $300, they asked if we had a written statement and of course no, we just called. At this point, our dog was already at the vet and had medication to prepare for the surgery, so we felt like we had to move forward. Well, when we picked him up, we were charged $530 for the procedure. Once we asked why it raised, they knocked off $40 for a shot they didn't even give him. If we hadn't asked, we would've paid for something that he didn't even receive. Again, I'm not posting this to be ridiculous or rude, I genuinely have enjoyed our experience with Applebrook. But this instance left us super frustrated and disappointed. I'm only posting a review because we had told them multiple times we were initially quoted $300, and left paying over $500. Just do better about transparent pricing please! On the plus side, the vet techs are very kind and love our dog. Their puppy package has been great for his first year, and I generally would recommend them! I hope this review is more helpful than harmful to Applebrook and their transparency for pricing & educating their staff on handling conversations like this to provide clarity.

Unfortunately, since moving here I have lost my dog (cancer) and two cats (one from cancer and one from old age (20). They are always helpful, very knowledgeable, and compassionate. Oh, how much we wish we met Dr. Smith when Maia was younger... Maia got really sick and we brought her to CHAI for her last visit, 2 weeks ago. The room where we said a final good bye to Maia was specially decorated for such an occasion. The two precious, compassionate, kind and caring young ladies made Maia and us feel loved and understood. We cried a lot and they gave us plenty of last moments with Maia, frequently checking on us. Dr. Smith took her time to comfort us and was compassionate and caring. We cried and Dr. Smith cried with us. We were really touched and we will never forget how special they made us feel in one of the most vulnerable and devastating time in our lives. Today, we received a hand written card from CHAI written by multiple members, with beautiful personal messages about Maia. We cried again as we read their wishes for us. We are not sure when/ if we will get another puppy/dog, but we know who is going to take care of them, Dr. Smith and the staff at CHAI.

That figure was subsequently revised to $1,800 with no substantive explanation for the increase. We were then informed that emergency surgery was necessary at an additional cost of $2,800. Post-surgical discharge, which we were assured would occur the following day, was repeatedly delayed under shifting justifications characterized as precautionary in nature. To date, total charges have reached $10,600, with an additional $4,000 being held contingent upon complications arising from what appears to be a post-operative wound issue around the surgical incision site -- a complication that, in my assessment and that of legal counsel I have since retained, constitutes a facility-acquired condition for which the provider bears responsibility, not the patient's owner. When I raised this position directly with staff, I was told that my questioning of their clinical and financial judgment was causing them distress. I found this response both unprofessional and dismissive of legitimate concerns. I also wish to note that the CareCredit limit communicated to us was initially represented as $1,800. Once charges exceeded $5,000, that ceiling conveniently expanded -- a sequence of events I find difficult to reconcile as coincidental.
