I spent several months looking for a men's diamond wedding band, in both stores and on-line, but nothing seemed quite right. Most were either too plain, or too gaudy, and I didn't trust some of the on-line places. I also felt that, if I were going to make such a significant purchase, I wanted it to be a "bit of an experience." I don't know why I didn't think to go into Leeds, because we'd had previously positive experiences there, but I eventually wandered in one day, while in Palm Desert. They had a small but absolutely beautiful selection. Beautiful. The ring I particularly liked, however, was mixed white and yellow gold and seemed a bit too flashy for my taste. No problem. Jeff said "We can do that in platinum, if you prefer." Off we went. Two weeks later, they delivered the most spectacular wedding band! Just as importantly, everyone was as nice as can be, were great about keeping me updated on progress, and even had treats ready for my dog, when we went to pick up the ring. The entire experience at Leeds was first rate. Elegant . . . relaxed . . . memorable . . . a completely positive experience. Our family stopped in for a visit on the morning of my wife's 50th birthday to take a look at some beautiful watches during our recent stay in Palm Springs. We had an absolutely amazing time that ended in a total surprise! After being greeted by Nicole, one of the warmest people I have ever met, we were given some water and Swiss chocolate. We tried on a few watches and had a seat to just take it all in. Moments later, we met the wonderfully nice Christy and she presented us with my wife's dream watch and we had a chance to actually buy it!!! We were so shocked with joy and jumped at the chance to get her this gift on such a special day and decided to buy it. While continuing to smile ear to ear, Carlo, a very polite gentleman came out and made the final adjustments for a perfect fit and gave it one final cleaning. And off we went to enjoy my wife's birthday while wondering did it all really just happen. I can't say enough about this team of folks we worked with. From their generosity and appreciation for helping celebrate such a milestone, to the way they made us feel right at home, it was an incredible experience. Leeds & Son in Palm Desert has been in business since 1947 and for good reason. The store is beautifully curated and well maintained. Everything they carry is lovely. The luxury store has a great selection of fine jewelry and watches. Brent, the store manager and Riki, the vice-president went above and beyond with my most recent purchase. My kids are always asking to visit the store to try and nudge me to buy another watch but getting candy at the store doesn't hurt either. My family and I have always been greeted with a smile and they are even welcoming to our dog, Maple. There are plenty of associates to help if you have questions but you can also browse the store independently without being bothered or pushed to make a purchase. Wow. What a difference a new owner makes. Up until about a year ago this store had phenomenal customer service. Very friendly engaging staff- helpful and very knowledgeable. Since the new ownership- the staff could not be bothered. My husband and I visited the store on Friday December 15th to ask about a repair. The store was empty- only 2 other customers. The gentleman that engaged with us did everything in his power to get us out of the store quickly. He tells us the repairs are taking about 2 weeks - can't make any promises- lots of people ahead of you - not taking repairs until well into January. We asked to have a few pieces of jewelry cleaned while we were waiting - a service we've always done previously- and while the sales agent took our jewelry- he quickly brought them back with no obvious cleaning done. When I mentioned this behavior to my hairdresser- which is a few doors down the street also on El Paseo, they told me they had heard the attitude has changed in Leeds since the change in ownership and they suggested El Paseo Jewelers instead. Very disappointing. If you need a Rolex- they are one of the only stores that are a registered dealer. Otherwise I'd go any place else for jewelry. read more

I am in town for Coachella and wanted to visit local ADs so decided to stop by to see their rolex selection. Unfortunately, due to the demand/ supply of the market, I wasn't able to find anything that I wanted but they did have a couple watches that weren't exhibition models. She showed me a few watches that they had in stock and then our conversation kept going and going and I found out she was an alumni at the same college that I graduated from. Let me first mention that I took my Rolex in for a Band problem only, before the COVID-19 virus. Such poor customer service. They were more interested in selling me a $300,000.00 watch than take care of my watch. They ordered my band and never put it on my watch. It was the old pointing fingers at one another. Any calls made about my watch were made by me. They promised it in 1 week and never followed through. From the salesmen not accepting blame for their lack of in-house communication. Then they put their "watch person" Robert on the phone with more excuses. After 2 weeks of excuses I went to pick up my watch curbside. Its a beautiful store but that is all that it is. When I asked the sales person about the other Leeds and Sons location, he knew nothing about having another location. He should look on line and get educated. This review is for repairs only - we have used Leeds for YEARS for repairs and have always had an exceptional experience. Since COVID, this has changed dramatically. After several attempts at getting repairs, we will stop even attempting to use Leeds for repairs. Horrible customer service, attitudes, long wait times, a clear lack of interest in repairs. Actually, it's FINE if they don't want to do repairs anymore, then stop advertising that repairs are part of the service. Plenty of other options in PD to take my repairs. This is a very welcoming jewellers with a great selection of Tudor watches and pretty good Rolex inventory. I tried on a ton of watches and never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything. Had a great conversation with Jessica, one of the super knowledgeable associates. What I especially liked about this place is that they don't do lists or play games with Rolex sales. You can buy what they have in stock - first come, first served. When I went on a Tuesday, they had a gold Day Date (my grail watch) a stainless steel Yachtmaster and a Yachtmaster 2. What a memorable first experience I had at Leeds @ Son Fine Jewelers. A little background: for the past few years I primarily used a jeweler I developed a relationship with in the Caribbean. Due to Covid and all the complications it has brought, I decided to look for options closer to home. She has sharp eyes and will steer you away from bad choices. She advised me on a Rolex that has become the fav in my collection. The caveat: Currently, the demand for Rolexes is sky high and it is difficult to find them at any AD anywhere. It is not 2018. Generally, you cannot walk into an AD and buy a Rolex. They are just very scarce. But Leeds doesn't seem to play games and, if your timing is good, you just may purchase a Rolex at retail price! Rolex is NOT the be all and end all. Leeds has a great selection of Tudors and Pateks. And it has cases of other beautiful jewelry as well. Definitely check it out. read more
