He came back a couple mins. later and I would have believed anything he said but he said" your spare tire was loose". Anyway we had a good laugh about it. The next month I had to replace the motor in one of my trucks and he got it done in three days and the labor was about 10% less than any other quote I'd gotten. But at Champ's, I feel like David is such a good mechanic that whatever he says about the car, I really have complete faith in it. Not only is he very knowledgeable and good at what he does, but he is honest and doesn't try to take advantage of people. His rates are very reasonable and I always feel like he might even care more about his customers than the shop itself. He patiently explains things to people. And I know from personal experience that David is really a nice guy. He lets me return to the shop even though I am a problematic customer, he lets me keep on using the original coupon I first got for a $59 oil change, and he doesn't give me a hard time when I can't make my appointments. Where else can you find someone like that these days? If I'm sounding like an advertisement then I apologize, but it's the truth and I think David deserves a lot of credit. So thank you David.

The single most important thing and the reason we keep bringing our cars to Edmund is that he is…read morehonest and trustworthy. At other auto repair places, I am never sure whether the things the mechanics tell me need to be fixed really need to be fixed or whether they just want my money. And I never know whether they are giving me fair prices. But with Edmund, I don't worry about that at all. Here are just three examples to illustrate my point: (1) Something was broken on my partner's car and we brought the car to Edmund's. Instead of taking our money and fixing the car, Edmund told us that the car might still have warranty and that we should drive over to the dealership and see if they were going to fix the car for free. (2) We used to have a super old car that was about to fall apart. Some things in the car were broken but it was not absolutely necessary to fix them (the car was still running and it was safe to drive; there was just a risk of the car breaking down soon). Edmund gave us his honest opinion that, given the very low value of the car at this point, it was simply not worth fixing these things. (3) When my partner needed new tires for his car, instead of doing it himself, Edmund sent us to a discount tire place where we could get a very good deal for the tires. Edmund really has the best interests of his customers in mind. Edmund is also a very friendly, uncomplicated, and fun guy. Always seems happy to have a little chat with us and always smiling. Lastly, of course, he knows what he is doing. We never have any issues after bringing our cars here.
