Learned that you can over-tighten pipes and cause them to leak. Thought I could fix it with a part so I went to three places, the third being a plumbing supply place. They told me that because this home builder glued everything, I would need a plumber and quietly recommended this place. I placed a call and Angel came out the next morning. Showed him both problems, the other being an overflow issue with the dishwasher. He told me how to fix that issue and within 30 minutes sent a quote. If he had to fix both issues, there was a $100 discount for multiple projects. Fortunately I fixed the dishwasher issue, so they only needed to fix one which saved me over $150. Thank goodness I called Snake 'N' Laterals! I was quoted over $15k for some repairs from a local plumbing company that the home warranty company sent out. They claimed it wasn't covered by the home warranty and that there were roots all in the pipes that extended into the street. They claimed they were going to have to dig under the street. Angel Sr came out and the lines were actually clear and he showed me this with his camera, there were no roots extending into the street! I almost got taken for almost $15k!! I HIGHLY recommend Snake N Laterals! I had a broken water pipe under my house & I've called 4 other plumbers & 3 of them went straight to voicemail, only one called me back to say he was booked out. I don't know how long I've had this issue & I needed it taken care of ASAP. I spoke to Griselda from Snake N Laterals, explained my situation & she had a tech out to my house in a hour! Austin was awesome! He went down, assessed the problem, gave me a reasonable quote & told me he could fix it right then & there! He went to get materials, gave me a courtesy call to tell me he was on his way back & fixed my pipe within a couple of hours. These people are super stars in my book. I had a reoccurring sewer backup water problem that I had snaked out at least 6 or 7 times in a 2 year period. I was using a neighborhood handyman to snake it each time. Finally, the snaked out process only lasted for about 3 weeks! I knew I had to call in a professional with a camera to get to the bottom of the problem. I called a well known plumber organization, who charged me a very high price to clear the sewer line and run the camera to pin point the problem. Then I called Snake 'N' Laterals for a second opinion. They were able to go a few feet beyond the expensive plumber and find that roots had entered the sewer line. Snake 'N' Laterals did a process called hydro jetting that cleaned the pipes and cut out the roots. This hydro jetting process was done at less than half the price quoted by the expensive plumber. Also, the expensive plumber diagnosis called for digging down and replacing a severed line. This was going to cost about $11K even with a discount. I'm so glad that I called Snake 'N' Laterals who found that the line was not severed and the problem was a tree root. Although, I will need to keep maintenance on the line for possible regrowth of the tree root, this is a lot less expensive than the suggestion from the expensive plumber. I really wish I called Snake 'N' Laterals from the beginning, but I had not heard of them... I grew up knowing some of the legacy plumber names, so that is who I called first. Yes, Snake 'N' Laterals is a first class plumber in my book. From the Customer Service, to the professional plumbers that come to help. Angel is the owner and he impressed me with his knowledge and honesty. Thanks so much for a wonderful job, and 'not' taking advantage of this old senior citizen. There was nothing dishonest about my review. For one, the reason I did not call until the 19th was because I was working out of town and called as soon as I was home. And if going through a "roof vent" is not a proper way of clearing a drain, then why even suggest it? Is that why your worker stated he hadn't pulled anything out? I called these folks on last Saturday as my toilet was leaking at the base. I figured it was the wax ring. They said they could have someone out Monday AM. I asked if they could tell me how much to replace a wax ring. They said no. I said OK, please have him come out. He showed up on time and was there no more than 1 hour. WOW, $298.00. So if you have deep pockets and have lots of cash in them go ahead and call these folks. They show up when they say they will and they fixed the problem correctly (after my wife had removed all of the water from the toilet and the tank) but their rates are unbelievable!!!!! read more
