This place is my favorite place ever! I always get sad when I'm craving it and it's Monday! (They're closed on Mondays) I always have to get their egg drop soup every single time I go. It's literally like heaven. It makes you feel like it's super cold outside and you go inside for a hot soup to warm you up, after playing in the snow all day. It's the best! At first, knowing this restaurant is located in a strip mall, I was curious about what the inside would be like. Yes, they even have lunch specials on Saturdays! The special comes with a soup, crab angles, and an entrée. Our food was delicious! While I wasn't a fan of the Taro rolls as I'm not particularly fond of Taro my boyfriend loved them. I tend to prefer a sweeter dessert so I plan to try the sticky rice on our next visit. This is by far the cutest Asian restaurant around! Has great ambiance and quick service. We ended up going for lunch - we started out with the shrimp skewers which are phenomenal! They are dusted with cumin fyi. We ended up ordering off the lunch menu but I'd recommend the egg drop soup and not the sweet and sour - has a unique flavor to it. The lunch portions were definitely smaller than expected and the Mongolian beef lacked pepper but was cooked wonderfully. The squirrel fish is definitely a unique dish - it's fried flounder cut up but I caution against this dish - the fish tasted fishy which was disappointing. All and all it is better than any of the other Asian options around Watson but will probably order usual menu items going forward and not branch out. read more

This was the highlight of our table and it was so delicious. If we are back on this side of town again we are ordering two plates of that. It's not too hot even with the symbols next to it but full of flavor. The wonton in chili is like a soup and hubs said it was really good. Ribs were a little tough but they had good flavor. Haven't found a single authentic place here. Every place seems to make YELLOW fried rice. WTH?!? How hard is it to make fried rice? I saw a friend post pic of Lee's on FB yesterday and it totally looked legit. Denham Springs is about a 30 min drive from where I am in Mid-city, but I've been starved for good Chinese for four months now! So I made the drive today for lunch and was NOT DISAPPOINTED. Had the Diced Spicy chicken lunch plate (and the fried rice was brown ) My food was so tasty and delicious that I ordered the scallion beef to go (which I ate for dinner tonight). I NOW have my GO TO place for Chinese food in the area (even if I have to drive 30 mins to get there). If you love GOOD authentic Chinese food like I do? Take a drive to Lee's in Denham Springs. The hubby & I visited for date nite last weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is not too small but not large. They could stand to dim the lights a bit to create a more chill, slightly romantic vibe but it's a cute spot. Everyone was friendly & attentive without being bothersome. Now, the food... DELICIOUS The Drunken Noodles were excellent. My husband isn't a fan of Asian food but he, too, enjoyed his food. Those little donuts are perfect little fluffy pillows of yumminess. Being that they are basically beignets, more powdered sugar is in order and, for me, cookies & creme is a strange choice for ice cream flavors. Lee's Asian fusion has a special place in my heart ! One of my two favorite Chinese places in all of Louisiana!!! Authentic Chinese not the Americanized stuff that you find most everywhere ! We got several different new year special consisting of scallops and veggies, lobster, and cumin lamb ! Scallops and shrimp with veggies- extremely fresh and flavorful but doesn't feel heavy at all, it's in a homemade sauce that gives it another level of flavor. There carrots, snap peas , celery in it to go with the seafood to make a great masterpiece I enjoy ! Lobster - it came out beautifuly and smelled soooo good! They cut it up to be stir fried it was crunchy and the meat was sweet and flavorful ! Different peppers was cooked into it as well! I think they used a fermented black bean along with spicy chilies to season the lobster which made it amazingly delicious ! Lobster wasn't frozen as well it was fresh ! 5/5!!! Cumin lamb- tender flavorful lamb with cumin and chili pepper taste, stir fried with some greens! Onions chopped up give it a good flavor as well Overall this place never ceases to amaze me with true authentic Chinese cuisine along with awesome service! I came to this place at a recommendation from my friend who is an old customer here. My top three dishes so far: "Cold Pot Fish Filet" (SF4), "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (CP1), and "Mapo Tofu" (V3). All three were delicious! But for me, I felt like they were not as spicy as I expected. Other than the food, the service was great! Our waitress answered all the questions I had with details. Still a 4 star for me----located in a strip mall with a BBQ joint and a papa John's in Watson, LA ---for me it's a 25-30 ride to eat there. The prices remain competitive or even low but that could be due to portion control---still pricing will leave you satisfied. This time we ordered an appetizer--dumplings which was a small piece of pork wrapped in a large wonton skin and pan fried. Taste was presently and great--piece of pork too small. As for the entrees we selected the drunken noodles--with beef (as opposed to chicken or seafood or all)---tastes very good but could have been more flavorful---beef was sliced into small strings as opposed to to flat noodle size--that's different than drunken noodles entrees at other locations,and not in a good way. We also ordered eggplant with garlic sauce---garlic sauce was sweet---and not so spicy---but that was at our request. Our 3rd dish I do not remember the name but it's equivalent to chicken stir fry---in this instance, good selection of vegetables and decent amount of chicken and aroma hits the nasal and palate in a positive manner. The staff was polite, courteous and helpful---also knowledgeable in the menu. In summary we had a party of 3 and ordered a dumpling appetizer and 3 entrees---we could have finished each entree and had no take home and been stuffed or have a filling meal and have a doggie bag. Finally made my way to Lee's today; I met my daughter there for an early Father's Day meal. Overall, I was a little disappointed, based on the hype it's received here. Started out with the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" appetizer, made popular by Pepper Twins in Houston. In case you're unfamiliar with the dish, it's slices of beef tendon and tongue, tossed with sesame paste, Sichuan peppercorns, scallions, peanuts, and chili oil, served cold. This was probably the best dish we had, a tongue-numbing textural assault. It was good, not great, and I was glad that I tried it, but I doubt I'd order it again. My daughter ordered the double-cooked pork (sorry I forgot to take a pic), which came with fried rice and egg drop soup. The soup was gelatinous and very thick, which was a turn-off for her. The double-cooked pork, which I was really excited about, including fermented salted black beans which were extremely salty, to the point of the dish being unpalatable. I felt bad because she only took a few bites. For my entree I had the black pepper beef, which was served with dan dan noodles. The young server mixed the noodles for me tableside, which was a nice touch. Both the noodles and beef were OK, but once again, nothing special. There were quite a few dishes I really wanted to try, but since there were only two of us, there was no need to order more. I'm all about giving a place a change to redeem itself, so I'm sure I'll be making a return visit in the near future. **UPDATE (6/26): Went back today w/ my wife, and we really enjoyed our meal. We had the griddled ribs (they have a strong cumin flavor), chicken pad Thai, and chicken w/ garlic sauce. Everything was very good. Favorite Chinese restaurant around Baton Rouge. The atmosphere is wonderful for family and they have Chinese style round table for big party as well. We usually will bring people here if they want to eat more authentic Chinese food. When you get a table they always have a fried sweet peanut as appetizer they make everyday which taste quite nice. They also both the Americanized Chinese food and also quite authentic ones; to each of their own. If you do like more authentic taste I would recommend to get their Dandan noodle (dry mixed noodle), cumin beef, and Pekin Duck. Sometimes they will have lobster and their Spicy Lobster is So good! It is fried and has amazing chilly seasoning; a bit pricey but very good for special occasion. Even though they serve Szechuanese, their spicy level is usually not too spicy so if you want it hot make sure to let them know to make it extra hot! Their service is always good as well and it is wise to ask server their specials of the day because the servers can recommend the freshest dish of the day. One thing I love is authentic ethnic cuisine. And Lee's Asian Fusion, which specializes in authentic Sichuan and Cantonese style Chinese food, fits the bill perfectly. The first thing we noticed after getting inside was the beautiful atmosphere, something we didn't expect from the outside. Right away we were greeted, seated, and given yummy spicy fried peanuts, which got completely devoured. We then tried the Chengdu Zhong dumplings and scallion cakes as appetizers. The dumplings were so delicious with a savory pork stuffing and the waitress even brought out an additional sauce for us to try dipping them in. She recommended the pan-fried version and I understood why when I tasted them. For entrees, we looked to our server once again for guidance (everything sounded good, honestly), so she helped us choose a chicken dish (Cold Pan Chicken Fillet) and a pork dish (Twice Cooked Pork.) I can't tell you which I enjoyed more. She also gave us little tips on how to eat them when she delivered them to our table- a real bonus for folks who may not be familiar with some of these dishes. Both dishes were masterfully prepared and served family style with sides of white rice. The owner even stopped by our table at one point to check on us and we got to have a lovely conversation with her. All I can say is our experience at Lee's was exceptional, and I highly recommend it. There is really only one negative to the whole experience, which is location. Watson is a bit of a trek for us, as we live in Baton Rouge, but one we will definitely be making again. read more

This is based off of a to go experience only. First off it's kind of pricey. We did get 10 egg rolls, vegetable low mein, Wonton soup, 2 chicken dishes and chicken tenders. They gave us special sauce? I didn't care for it and they put one sauce in one box container which I thought was kind of wasteful. I'm pretty sure they pan fry their egg rolls which is different. The wonton soup was really good ( I was sick when we ordered the food) so having something hot going down my throat was great. And it had great flavor.
