Such a vibe and one of my favorite spots to celebrate! Wait wasn't too bad and we were served really fast! The food is always amazing and the portions are huge, so definitely come with a group because you're going to want to share everything. Would 100% recommend!

We had been wanting to try this place for a while, finally made it. We had a reservation and were able to walk right in so that was a plus. The service could have been better as we were not given much attention by the wait staff and they were somewhat forgetful 6/10. The food was new and exciting for us which I would rate a 8/10. The ambiance was very nice 8/10. Overall I rate this place 7.5/10.

An outstanding place to get Asian food around Baton Rouge. The service was amazing and spectacular. The food was very flavorful and big portion sizes. I had a lovely dining experience, I highly recommend and would come back.

maybe you can tell from all the pictures, but i eat here a lot! love love love soji. i love the service, food, atmosphere, attention to detail, management, i could go on and on! there are pictures of a few specials in this mix because they do them very often! so make sure you don't miss out on those. and if they have one of their private dinners BUY THE TICKETS! 100% worth it. i also *highly* recommend the omakase experience, Tony puts a lot of effort into those dishes and they never miss. i heard they're starting a happy hour soon and opening earlier so i thought its about time i wrote a review!

Dinner date was amazing! Curry chicken bowl with rice & pita was really a hit!

A fun spot for Asian fusion! Maybe not Indian though - the butter chicken was watery and missing the heat and flavors that is characteristic of south Asian dishes. I just tasted tomato. The house made naan was a nice touch though. The edamame had an onion garnish that I was eating by itself it was so good! The drunken noodles had hand pulled noodles that were too thick and chewy but that steak and veg stir fry with the eggs can't be beat! I took them home to eat with rice and it was delish!

I went to soji to have dinner with my sister I just met and they made our dining experience great. The food was awesome. The waitress Carloine b was the best. They even put sisters on our dessert To make it even more special for us

This is my first review for Soji, but my third time dining here. I popped in with a friend for the advertised "Ladies Night" on Thursdays. I would recommend making reservations, but they do accept walk-ins. Also, prepare for the limited parking. We parked down the street and walked, but it's not ideal especially at night. Without reservations, the hostess quickly sat us at the bar area. Unfortunately, the first table he offered wasn't even cleaned off yet. We opted for the tables that were already cleaned, but of course this table rocked all night. The Bartender CC came over and took our order. She was really nice and patient as we placed our orders. Don't be alarmed if you don't see the Ladies Night Menu, you have to ask for it. We ordered a little bit of everything. From the Ladies Night menu: Champagne and the Basil Julep, the Tokyo sushi roll and the Crunchy roll, the fried Cauliflower and the pork dumplings. Nothing was really good or special about the food. The sushi is okay, the pork dumplings were bland. The cauliflower is good, just some pieces are too large for eating. It felt like an American take on Asian cuisine instead of really authentic sushi. Lastly, we decided to try the Shrimp Bao and now this, this was GREAT! Perfect textures, soft bao dough, crispy shrimp, and cabbage! The best thing we had all night. Of course, Soji has all the Instagrammable vibes, they wasted no money on the esthetics, but their menu could use more time and development.

Came here for Baton Rouge restaurant week and had an AWESOME experience. Every dish was unique and delicious. Highly recommend the Hailey Paradise roll. Service was great as well with great music to vibe to. Soji makes for a great night out with friends or a date night!

What a terrific place! I really like the small dining room vibe with the cool bar at the end of the room. My girlfriend and I had a pair of really yummy cocktails followed by a truly delicious meal. I ordered the drunken noodles and enjoyed them very much. Our server was absolutely epic! She helped guide us into the entire meal. The only thing holding this back from being a five star review would be my impression of cleanliness. Not that this place is dirty but it's a little "worn" and our table top was a tad bit sticky. Usually that's a bad sign particularly in an Asian restaurant, but I'm glad we stuck it out and kept an open mind. We will definitely be back to try more items on the fascinating menu.

I wanted to try Soji for so long, and it did not disappoint. My friend and I came for drinks and sushi around 5pm on a Wednesday. Since both of us are bartenders, we decided to check out the Lotus Lounge. It was modern, clean, and comfortable. The only drawback to sitting in the Lotus Lounge is that happy hour specials don't apply there, so we were the only people there. I didn't mind paying the full price though since our bartender Jamie ended up giving us great service and seriously impressed us with her mixology skills. I started with the Lychee on the Beachee, and my friend got The Floor is Guava. Both were fantastic, and their quality set high expectations for the food. We split three sushi rolls- the Slammin' Salmon, Tempered Tuna, and Rainbow Roll. My favorite was the Slammin' Salmon by far, but all of them were delicious. For dessert, we ordered a slice of lemon pie and their peppermint chocolate dessert cocktail. Although they were out of the ingredients to make the peppermint chocolate cocktail, Jamie offered to make us an improvised bananas foster type of cocktail instead. It was one of the best drinks either of us have had and something I hope they would consider adding to their menu. I'll definitely return to try some of their other dishes! This is the first restaurant I've been to where the drinks were better than the food.

Ever since I first tried Soji, it became one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge. It's a cool place with a fun ambiance. So many great options. I think their sushi is the best in the city. Highly recommend Sunkissed Salmon and Hailey's Paradise rolls. Their vietnamese egg rolls are one of my favorite apps I've tried in an Asian restaurant. Other app recs would be the sundown salmon bites, chef's dumplings and cauliflower. All unique renditions and so tasty. The pork katsudon, drunken noodles and crispy beef are great entrees.

Service was amazing, 10/10 (Server Sarah!) Food was delicious! The vibe was it! Perfect for a date night or a small elegant celebratory dinner! Will be coming back!

Do the staff wear masks and gloves?

Masks yes, bartenders no gloves, sushi chefs yes.

Does Soji have a happy hour? Checked the website but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance!

    Yes! It ends at 7.

    What does "by appointment" mean?

I'm sure it just means reservations are highly recommended for customers wanting a table rather than open seating at the raw bar and ramen bar.

The standout for me was the veggie fried rice. It had great flavor, and I'd honestly come back for that alone. The Snake Wrangler drink was also a favorite. The only downside was the hot honey. It was very light on both the wings and the bao bun, so the flavor didn't come through as much as expected. Service was efficient and attentive. Try one and they are stone cold but good flavor. I asked Courtney the server if they were meant to be served room temperature (first time having so wasn't Sure). She takes the whole bowl. A nice little bit later my bowl is returned just as my tikka masala queso Is arriving. From the looks of my bowl and the broth it was nuked. Heated in the microwave which was annoying bc I wanted to try these fresh for the first time and also more importantly I ordered them with intentions of eating 2 now and taking the other 3 to go so I could enjoy my queso there. Dumplings can't and shouldn't reheated multiple times over and especially not even once at the restaurant that's serving them. I was honestly just hoping they would have dropped a fresh hot spoon or two of the broth : sauce they were in. Very upsetting for the evening because I was excited to try something new

The tuna kimbap was spicy and rich while the bulgogi kimbap featured sweet and savory beef enveloped in soft pillowy rice. We also enjoyed the wide variety of Korean snacks, with our favorites being the BBQ drumstick chips and the chocolate Pepero. The green onion popcorn was also surprisingly addictive and turned out to be the perfect movie-watching snack. And of course the snacks many of us know from childhood, like prawn crackers or Marukawa bubble gum. For the size, I was very impressed with this cute little shop. It's clean and organized, well stocked, and they're so friendly there. Honestly, prices are also super reasonable. They could totally jack up prices more and get away with it, since it's the only shop of its kind in this area. So I decided on 5 stars because while I do wish they had more non-frozen actual food and more variety, for their size, they're doing the best that they can. You can't walk into a store this size and expect an H-Mart or Assi or Hong Kong Supermarket. And the fact that they appeal to all the Asians is pretty darn great for this side of Baton Rouge. Overall, I would highly recommend. Come here for snacks, dessert, or getting ingredients for cooking. Just beware. You might end up getting more junk food than you anticipated!
