Shrimp with vegetables & garlic sauce has been my long time fav. Service has always been quick & friendly.

Well, first of all I have been coming here since the owner's children were in middle school, many years and I come in and get 4-6 meals a month for lunch and maybe 3-4 for dinner. It has been great. So I had a fantastic chinese dinner in N.O. this weekend and it was shrimp chow mein. I just loved the stir fried noodle and shrimp and the vegetables.....I wanted more from my go to Chinese here in BTR. Well when I called in my order, the lady asked me if I wanted fried rice or white rice and I said fried.... I then got the food back tomy office and there was absolutely NO diffeence in what I got and Chop Suey..which includes steamed cabbage and vegetables....Not a singel thing was stir fried and absolutely NO NOODLE...only cabbage and celery, which I do NOT like cabbage at all and the lady knew that from my past orders. Teh bad thing was she passed the blame to me because she said told me that it was steamed cabbage and vegetables....but THAT IS CHOP SUEY not Chow Mein. So she lost a customer of probably 8-10 years over this meal by not offering to make me Chow Mein and take this UCKK food back. I am so disappointed in new Panda right but she has just lost about $200 a month revenue by not making me what I called in for and swapped it for Chop Suey...... read more

We ordered to go. The "dining room" is a little too cramped and busy to sit and enjoy a meal. The staff is friendly and efficient. We ordered food for 3 and it was only $51! We ordered crab Rangoons (8 pack), shrimp lo mein combination platter (pork fried rice and egg roll), chicken lo mein combination platter (pork fried rice and egg roll), the dragon and phoenix entree, shrimp rolls (2), and fried rice. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, and included lots of veggies which we appreciate. Generous servings-we each had food leftover for the next day! read more

I once reviewed this place as a 5! But that was when it was dropped off by DoorDash. Coming here, I felt rushed ordering first off. They asked me if I was to go or eat there which I said I was gonna eat here but yet they put it in a to go container where there is no plate And the silverware are flimsy plasticware that barely cut through the egg foo young. The food was good, but it may have just been the experience of seen a filthy floor that looks like it has never been mopped and two people sitting at a table with string beans put across the table and 2 folks cutting them with dirty scissors. The food is ok and I have ordered several times only to be unimpressed. However it's convenient and quick. I haven't dined in so I can't speak on that part of experience. I'm sure I'll give it another go at some point. read more

Problems: Rice not fully cooked, some grains portion were at 50 % and some were soft . Chicken meat was basically chicken skins that were cooked in water or sauce emulating pieces of chicken. The egg roll was the only good thing that I tasted. read more

Recently moved to the area and found this place very close to our apartment. Took our family there. The food was very bland and lacked taste. Tasted reheated or over cooked. Very dry. I had frozen Chinese that taste better. When we walked in two of the tables had employees at them. One was cutting greens. Just not where you should be doing it, in front of customers. All the sauces were laid out across the counter at the registers in the shipping boxes they came in. Just not the way it should be. read more

I come here for takeout anytime I am in town. I always order the shrimp and broccoli. It is so good. The food is ready in ten minutes and always piping hot. I sometimes order just a side of broccoli. It is so good that I have been wanting to recreate it at home. read more

I recently moved to this area and since this is the closest Chinese joint, I decided to give it a try. The first time, I ordered shrimp and vegetables, and when I got home and tasted it, it tasted "off" -- a foul taste, like something was rotten, so I trashed it. Yesterday I decided to give them another try, and ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce. Once again, the same disgusting foul taste. I'm guessing maybe their shrimp aren't fresh, or have been sitting around, or maybe it's something else, but it just tastes rotten. Won't make the mistake of going back again. read more

If your looking for a quick good Chinese take out you've come to the right place. This place is close to my apartment so I go quite often. Takes ten minutes after you call and it's ready. I always get the sesame chicken combo that comes with rice. Chickens always good and comes in a great sauce. I can't speak for any of the other items on their menu but the sesame chicken is great! A family owned small take out type restaurant. There are 6 tables each with a capacity of 4 for those who want to dine in. When I was there most recently no one was dining inside however 5 of the tables were occupied with people waiting on to go orders and while I was waiting for my order at least 3 more groups showed up to place order or to pick up to go orders----and none of these were Waitr! So, I guess people approve of New Panda. As for me, this was one of the first places I tried in my 2019 sampling of mandarin chicken dishes and this location set the bar----I think it is either the top 1 or 2 of the mandarin chicken dishes I have tried. This mandarin chicken is deep fried with a flavorful brown sauces---the combination of the two make it tasty and flavorful---the mandarin chicken is served on top of a variety of vegetables. In reviewing the menu there is also a seafood combination selection which is described in part as served with pan fried noodles----sounded good enough to order however wanting an authentic Chinese dish it disappointed. read more

As far as take out Chinese food goes, you can't go wrong with New Panda! The food tastes fresh, and the containers are always packed full! They even stayed open late for me one night when I arrived after 10pm. My favorite dish is the sweet and sour pork special. Nice work New Panda! read more

First, these people were the only open place in the area to get food during the floods, so they have my business FOR LIFE! They are friendly and fast, though sometimes the food is a little bland, but that's what hot sauce is for! Worst Chinese Good I've ate anywhere. The chicken in pad Thai was resembling and tasting more like tofu. Strange texture. Pad Thai looked pink for some reason. Bathroom was dirty, which usually speak to the cleanliness of the kitchen. I will never be back. read more
