" Food is good & prices fair " The food here is good . The portion sizes generous. The price is fair for the portion size and the food is delicious. It was full however it's fully staff so the wait time was normal even though full . Small place so seating is limited. However you can eat inside or outside on the benches so no worries. It's a great spot in the neighborhood. Plenty of parking all around or accessible by the green line Newton center. Definitely come try or eat here if you're hungry it's well worth it .

This is an update to my last review "swing and a miss". Lee's has reclaimed their spot at the top. My wife and I got two new burgers tonight and they were cooked perfectly! As usual, we got an absolute mountain of fries very generously seasoned. And the milkshakes were thick and creamy. Phenomenal service and hospitality to boot

Cute little shop. No seating, take out only. There website has pickup and drop off options. I have been here twice and got the double jack burger twice. What a great burger. Also, I love their onion rings. Plenty of paid parking nearby. Location is in the downtown of Newton.

I do not know how people waste their money with chain burger restaurants, when they have places like this. The shop was tiny with only a couple of tables, but for what it lacked in size, it definitely made up in other ways. I checked photos on Yelp before going in, and realized it was more of a grab & go than a sit down place. Glad I did, because the limited seating was full even though it was just a Monday night. The staff was very kind, with a greeting when I arrived, assuring I had everything in my to-go order, and a friendly goodbye as I left. My son and I both ordered a Double Jack and Fries. The food was packed with flavor and cooked just right - a little pink in the center on the burgers while the fries were just crisp enough. I'll go back here over and over and over.

Best burger in Boston hands down! Whenever I am craving a giant, the size of my face, mouth watering burger, it has to be a burger from Lee's burgers! This location is not that big but it has a few tables and stools to dine in. It's an order at the counter and if you dine in they bring you your food to the table. My bf and I were craving juicy burgers so we drove up to Lee's. It was busy Saturday night, they had a lot of pick up and orders to go but we found a table to sit and dine in. I ordered the usual which is the two patty Lee's burger and my bf got their other signature burger. The fries came out first and they were perfect! They were super crispy and thick just how I like them. Our burgers came out next and they came out nice and hot! My Lee's burger was neatly wrapped up to keep it together because it was fully loaded! My burger was packed with bacon, peppers, grilled onions, fried egg and french fries and it was amazing! It was challenging to keep it together as I enjoyed every bite but I managed to devour it just fine. It really hit the spot!

I've always driven by this place and have wanted to try it for years. I recently tried to go to the new Golden Coup chicken place only to find its a "virtual" or pop-up type of restaurant. It basically does not exist, and its a different restaurant making the food. I was disappointed and figured it would be the perfect chance to go around the corner and try Lee's. The place is pretty small, with 2 tables that fit 4, and 2 window areas that can sit 3 each. Its a typical small business with very friendly staff. The menu is easy to scan through and pick out what you want. Pricing was reasonable. We dined in. The Lee Burger was the most expensive burger on the menu and it definitely sounded like something I wanted to try! Its got two 6oz patties, egg, bacon etc. It was massive, and delicious! The waffle fries and onion rings were so very good, as they seemed to have come straight from the fryer to our table. Other items we tried were the meatball sub, teriyaki burger, grilled cheese sandwich and chicken tenders. All were decent, but not as rave worthy as their Lee burger, waffle fries and onion rings. One thing to call out is the service. The guy brought food to our table and dropped a few onion rings. He apologized and unexpectedly brought me another full order! I was really surprised and thankful, as it was so delicious. Great people work here, the place seemed clean, there is self-serve napkins, forks, condiments etc. Its a cozy little place that should be on your list in Newton Center (they also have a location in brookline).

With party of six...will my reservation be accepted?

This is a casual joint -- they do not take reservations. With 6 people during lunch or dinner hours I think it's doubtful you'll find seating inside, but who knows? I would suggest you make a plan to dine outside, just in case the place is jammed.…

We walked into a spacious, contemporary space with a large bar and plenty of seating, the kind of place that works equally well for watching a game with friends or a relaxed dinner. The interior had a comfortable, polished energy that struck a balance between lively and approachable, and the extensive beer and whiskey selection added to the inviting atmosphere. The menu goes beyond typical bar food with a mix of elevated comfort dishes, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, and seasonal entrées. We ordered a few items and found the Chilean sea bass standing out, paired with a flavorful sauce that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The lamb with gnocchi was another popular choice, offering a hearty and well-balanced dish with tender meat and pillowy gnocchi that absorbed the rich sauce. The burgers were cooked to order and made a reliable option for something more casual, arriving juicy and well assembled. For drinks and appetizers, the calamari, burrata, and flatbreads were good options to share, each coming out fresh and well seasoned. The bar program was another highlight, with a wide selection of craft beers, whiskey, and classic cocktails that were well prepared and paired naturally with the food. Service was friendly and welcoming, with staff happy to make recommendations and accommodate different group sizes. While some visits could experience slower service during busy periods, the overall experience tended to be attentive, and the team worked to create a comfortable atmosphere for both families and larger groups. The pacing of the meal stayed steady, and the food came out without much delay. Parking is available in a small lot, though it could fill up during peak dining hours, and the restaurant's location near shopping on Needham Street made it a convenient stop before or after running errands. Overall, District 118 Kitchen & Bar is a solid choice for anyone looking for elevated pub fare in a relaxed setting. The combination of quality food, a strong drink selection, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it equally enjoyable for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or an evening out with friends.

Post-COVID, life looks a little different. I've changed jobs and moved to another town, so it's no longer the easy drop-in it once was. Still, I make a point to come back at least every few months. What hasn't changed is the consistency. This remains one of the most reliably excellent restaurants in the Boston area, and still one of my all-time top five--while others that once held that spot haven't quite held up. One thing has changed, though: the Ghost of Mary. Scotty, the former bar manager, created what's still my favorite cocktail of all time. When he left, the drink left with him (by mutual agreement), and while he generously shared the recipe with me, I've never quite managed to recreate it at home. It was clearly meant to be made by the expert. That said, Sycamore hasn't missed a beat. The space is still as comfortable and quirky as ever, the food remains consistently excellent, and the current bar program is in very capable hands. The cocktails are thoughtful and well-executed--just maybe don't remind me about the one I'm missing

They have some great places to shop and dine and Sycamore is one of them. We have been here multiple times and everytime is better than the last. From the Managers greeting to the service, and atomosphere, Sycamore sure knows how to make customers feel seen and heard and their bellies happy :) We came here after attending a wine tasting not far from here and were able to grab some bar seats. They have a great cocktail and wine list; I always have a hard time choosing just one. I went with a vodka drink called Nothing Rhymes Orange and my husband had a beer. Since we were not that hungry he ordered the Chorizo Croquettas and I had my favorite salad in the world (not kidding) their Kale Salad. Let me just tell you 1. if you don't like kale, you will love this salad. Just the way they make it and the flavors/crunch will make your mouth water 2. you will eat the whole thing. 3. trust me. If there is one app that you need to order its the chorizo croquettas, OMG. They are like little small drops of heaven and there are only 3 so if you plan to share I would recommend ordering more than just one. For dessert, we ordered an Espresso Martini. The only thing that was missing is the coffee beans but still good. Thanks Sycamore for another fabulous dinner and evening. Thanks Kale Salad for being the best ever. The dining room had a comfortable, lived-in energy with a layout that accommodated both small groups and larger parties, and the warm lighting and traditional furnishings made it easy to settle in for a casual dinner or drinks with friends. It was the kind of place where the relaxed setting encouraged lingering over a meal rather than rushing through it. The menu focuses on elevated pub classics with several house specialties that are worth ordering. We started with the eggplant fries, one of the signature appetizers, and found them having a light, crispy coating that made them surprisingly addictive. The steak tips were another standout, cooked tender and packed with flavor, and the steak frites were a great choice if you are looking for something more substantial. There were also plenty of comfort food options throughout the menu, including seafood cakes, meatloaf, and seasonal specials that gave us a reason to come back and try something different. The food arrived hot and well assembled, and the portions were generous without being excessive. The service was one of the highlights of our visit. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant had the kind of hospitality that made us feel like regulars even on a first visit.
