Hole in the wall burger place in Newton Center. Seating for maybe 8-10 inside - so more of a takeout place. Burgers. Fries. Ice cream shakes. When you order the fries they ask how crispy - and when you are doing takeout they ask how much salt you want in them. I ate in for the first time last week. The shop was tiny with only a couple of tables, but for what it lacked in size, it definitely made up in other ways. I checked photos on Yelp before going in, and realized it was more of a grab & go than a sit down place. Glad I did, because the limited seating was full even though it was just a Monday night. The staff was very kind, with a greeting when I arrived, assuring I had everything in my to-go order, and a friendly goodbye as I left. My son and I both ordered a Double Jack and Fries. Best burger in Boston hands down! Whenever I am craving a giant, the size of my face, mouth watering burger, it has to be a burger from Lee's burgers! This location is not that big but it has a few tables and stools to dine in. It's an order at the counter and if you dine in they bring you your food to the table. My bf and I were craving juicy burgers so we drove up to Lee's. It was busy Saturday night, they had a lot of pick up and orders to go but we found a table to sit and dine in. I ordered the usual which is the two patty Lee's burger and my bf got their other signature burger. The fries came out first and they were perfect! They were super crispy and thick just how I like them. Our burgers came out next and they came out nice and hot! My Lee's burger was neatly wrapped up to keep it together because it was fully loaded! My burger was packed with bacon,peppers, grilled onions, fried egg and french fries and it was amazing! I've always driven by this place and have wanted to try it for years. I recently tried to go to the new Golden Coup chicken place only to find its a "virtual" or pop-up type of restaurant. It basically does not exist, and its a different restaurant making the food. I was disappointed and figured it would be the perfect chance to go around the corner and try Lee's. The place is pretty small, with 2 tables that fit 4, and 2 window areas that can sit 3 each. Its a typical small business with very friendly staff. The menu is easy to scan through and pick out what you want. Pricing was reasonable. We dined in. The Lee Burger was the most expensive burger on the menu and it definitely sounded like something I wanted to try! Its got two 6oz patties, egg, bacon etc. It was massive, and delicious! The waffle fries and onion rings were so very good, as they seemed to have come straight from the fryer to our table. Other items we tried were the meatball sub, teriyaki burger, grilled cheese sandwich and chicken tenders. All were decent, but not as rave worthy as their Lee burger, waffle fries and onion rings. One thing to call out is the service. The guy brought food to our table and dropped a few onion rings. He apologized and unexpectedly brought me another full order! I was really surprised and thankful, as it was so delicious. Great people work here, the place seemed clean, there is self-serve napkins, forks, condiments etc. Its a cozy little place that should be on your list in Newton Center (they also have a location in brookline). read more

Come here all the time. Solid place for a burger, fries, chicken tenders or a sub. The secret sauce brings out the best in the fries. I alternate the secret sauce with ketchup with some black pepper. There are a few seats but I usually grab takeout and go sit outside. There is a nice park nearby or open green space in Newton Centre. It wasn't because it was bad -- it was because there was just that much of it. Every bite was pure flavor overload: perfectly grilled beef, melted cheese, and a bun barely holding the whole masterpiece together. The staff were super friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. It's the kind of place where you walk out both proud and slightly humbled. Would I go back? 100%. Lee's is truly the only place my husband and I consider when we're craving a burger. The Bonanza Burger is a favorite. The combo of the onion rings and banana peppers is chefs kiss and the sauce...yum! Their fries are also awesome. My husband gets regular with Cajun and I get sweet potato fries, well done, which I recommend. Also, dipping the fries in the extra sauce that comes with the Bonanza is the way to go. This is my favorite local burger spot. For takeout, they always have my order ready within 15 minutes. I should've looked at pics before I paid an hour at the meter because this place is more of a grab and go. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with everything on it and my bf ordered the Philly cheesesteak. We also ordered a reg side of sweet potato fries. Honestly it was just ok but considering the price, which is considered extremely cheap especially since even McDonald's are kinda pricey nowadays. Ingredients however were all fresh like you can tell with the lettuce and tomatoes. The patty though was honestly quite dry so I kinda had to slather with ketchup to make up for it. Heading home from my sons hockey game my wife and I were headed to Buffs for some wings, or at least that was our plan. Our daughter, well, she had other plans for us. So we end up at Lee's, not upset about it, but wasn't what I was planning on. The people there could not have been nicer, the food was ready in no time at all and the it tasted better than I remember. I was pleasantly surprised with all the options on the menu. We ordered a turkey burger, two cheese burgers, fries, and buffalo wings. The fries are good and they were cooked just right. I got the turkey burger with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. We got it to go so I added ketchup and Lees special sauce. I think the special sauce is just seasoned mayo, but I liked it. The turkey burger was great. The cheese burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy pink center, and my wife and daughter devoured them. I ordered wings because I had my heart set on them when I was going to buffs. When I opened the container I was concerned, they didn't look good. They weren't fully coated in buffalo sauce and they had a funny looking coating on them. I am happy to say they taste better than they look. The coating was crispy, the sauce had good flavor and the chicken was good. The wings were good. This place is a better option than any of the new burger chains. The value, taste, and options are all better at Lee's. We look forward to going back, hope to try a milkshake next time. read more

Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, fries, and Rings. The cheeseburger was OK, cooked properly, with all the toppings I ordered. but altogether it was just kind of bland. Fries and rings appeared to be standard Sysco fare that you can find at every local mom and pop pizza and sandwich shop in the area. It also came with what I thought to be two little tubs of mayo, but the color was slightly off to be just mayo. It just tasted like mayo though, If it was a special sauce it needed a lot more of everything except the mayo. No real complaints, but no real reason to go back either. read more

Just what I was looking for! I had planned to go to get a burger from a place in Sherborn on Marathon Monday, but it was closed! I had been thinking about a burger all weekend & was very much still craving a burger, so I decided to look for a burger place on my way home. I had seen Lee's Burger's before, but never tried it. OMG - this was amazing!! The burger was lovely, especially with grilled mushrooms! The guy that took my order was helpful answering all my questions & helping me decide what to order. I saw some sweet potato fries as I walked in the door & they did not disappoint (I even took 1/2 of the small order home because there were so many & they reheated nicely in my air fryer!). I topped it off with a chocolate Oreo shake & WOW! It has a very limited seating area, but I was by myself, so it was fine. The burgers were good, I really enjoyed the chili on the Beantown burger even though it made the buns a little soggy. The b-on burger had more of a bean taste, which you can definitely tell it was a bit different, but still pretty good. I didn't use the wrapper to eat my burger, which I definitely should of because I could not get that burger smell off even after multiple hand washes. The portions of burgers are great and filling, but there is always room for fries. I recommend just getting regular fries because they're crunchier than sweet potato fries. read more

Priced right or better for the area. $5.95 for Cheeseburgers & $2.75 for LG Fries, Very Nice. I will definitely be touring this menu a lot more. There is so much to try here. Today, I thought I was going to be a little healthy, while also trying to satiate my need for deep fried goods, instead of opting for a burger, or a cheesesteak like my stomach told me to, I got a caesar with fried chicken tendie. Nothing wrong with the salad, but its 100% an afterthought for people like me who thought "maybe I should eat a salad today" so its on their menu. But make no mistake, it exists as an ingredient for other foods, so it functions as a salad, sure. But as a meal? it makes me sad. And at the price point, it feels like a punishment for foolishly avoiding the rest of their menu. Cue the chilli cheese fries I got with it cuz yanno, better devils and all that. Perfect size, crispiness, chilli and cheese with that consistency that makes you think with the first bite "imma need a nap". Delicious local food. We decided to try Lee's because of the great reviews. The staff was very friendly and my huge turkey burger with avocado and mushrooms was awesome. The sweet potato fries were also good but needed salt. A small is a huge portion and more than than I could finish. We could have shared those. My husband had 2 chili dogs which were also delicious. We would have liked a more spacious seating area since as we tried to eat people in line were standing over us as we ate. This is certainly more of a grab and go place to order.
