We have been going here for a while now. It's our favorite frozen treat in the area. We just took some friends this weekend, and they asked some great questions, that helped us learn more about the business. My go-to is the saffron rose. I enjoy the flavor combo. My partner liked it when the owner did the two flavors separately, but I like both. We've also enjoyed other flavors, such as pistachio, with pistachios on top, which gives good texture and salty sweet contrast. The owner told us that "dizin" is actually a ski resort in Iran. He also told us that the ice cream style is Persian. I have been curious for a while, and finally tried a flavor I had been eyeing- which looks to have pieces of rice inside. I personally enjoyed the flavor- it was more icy, and he says was a very old/ancient recipe. He also said that he typically would combine it with saffron rose. I tried the combo and now have a new go-to order.

We decided to try because of the unique flavors, which did not disappoint. A very nice and welcoming family took over the business around 3 months ago. They introduced us to what was available and gave us samples. We got kiddie cups of vanilla and strawberry sorbet. We were thrilled that we got to add our own toppings. We also got fudge and pomegranate. Everything was made onsite. The saffron is the most popular flavor! Prices are reasonable starting at $5 for kiddie cups and $7 for small. Thanks for a great experience and come support a local business!

My wife and I came to Dizin FruttiBerri with our toddler-age daughter after picking her up from daycare. It was a little bit of a drive from Brookline but it was SO SO worth it. Ali was a kind and generous host and immediately brought out samples for us to try. The ice cream has a wonderful and unique flavor. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. I would highly recommend coming here. Extremely enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back. Thank you Ali.

Friendly and charming owner. Tried sample of the faloodeh and ordered a kiddie size for $5. Delicious vegan option, perfect for a hot day.

They have delicious classic and creative flavors of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and faloodeh, and a friendly owner offering samples

Honestly, this review is long overdue. I've drove past this awesome, cute, little ice cream shop for years. It always caught my attention but I finally made it a point to come visit for date night after a nice dinner. The man in the register is SUPER nice. As soon as we walked in, he greeted us enthusiastically and offered samples immediately. He gave us four different flavors to taste, vanilla, chocolate, saffron and rose petal. We had never tried the latter two but we loved the taste after sampling them. They're sweet and leave a nice aromatic sense too. While we had the samples, the man at the shop taught us that saffron ice cream is popular in Turkey and rose petal ice cream is a popular flavor in India. He was funny and personable and allowed us to learn something new. I can't recommend this place enough. I've decided to bring any family/friends that visit me here to try these amazing new flavors. Definitely come check it out if you get the chance. I hope you'll find it as enriching as I did.

Highly recommend this place for a refreshing and unique ice cream experience! The flavors here are one of a kind and they are delicious. Saffron & rose is the typical Persian ice cream flavor so it is a must try. Even if you don't like rose water, it is subtle in this ice cream and does not overpower. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming; he offers samples of the flavors as soon as you enter the store. The texture of the ice cream is like creamy/icy at the same time and almost stretchy in a way. Really satisfying. A plus is that the ice cream does not lose its texture when you take it home and put it in the freezer.

    Ice cream flavours to go!

Nice shop and unique flavors, but the ice cream had ice crystals and wasn't as smooth as expected.

Ever since the Tall Man and I stumbled across it back in 2019, only a couple months after they opened, we've made it our go-to local boba shop. I like my boba drinks quite simple, and being dairy free also limits my options. I nearly always get the classic black or green bubble tea sweetened with honey, with less ice and 30-50% sugar. The bubbles are a good chewy texture, never over cooked, and slightly but not overly sweet like Kung Fu Tea's. Without fail, the Tall Man gets a taro milk tea or smoothie ("tea" isn't quite the right term, since there's zero tea thus zero caffeine) with mango popping boba. A creamy winner that's less sweet than competitors'. They also sell ice cream (typical flavors, although I wish they would offer Chinese/Taiwanese ones like taro and matcha) and used to have cake, but I haven't seen the pastries lately. A couple things to note: - The owner is very kind and runs the place with her family. At times she's the only one there, though. If there's a wait (mostly gaggles of high school students), be patient, and she'll get your order right. - Over the years, I've learned not to show up in the first 30 minutes after opening, to ensure that the boba is ready (the tapioca balls need to be cooked, then sweetened and preferably cooled down). It's possible the owner has changed her preparations since the early years, but this is now an engrained habit of mine so I haven't been there early enough to verify. - Not open on Mondays, including holidays that happen to be Mondays (like this year's July 4th).

They have a large variety of flavors. Taro Smootie with boba and 50% sugar is my favorite. We…read moreoften order Red Bean, Almond, and Mango with 50% sweet and boba.

It was very busy but we were able to get a table for two within 5 min. The service was super slow. Took ~20 min for our server to take our order & another 40 min for our food to come. We noticed our server was the only server for all the tables, haha crazy! Here's what we ended up ordering: -roti (w/ potato curry sauce) -chicken wings (w/ spicy garlic sauce) -pad see ew -pla pad kun chai (fried cod fish fillet w/ lemongrass + Chinese celery) -Thai iced tea We tried the chicken wings, the roti, and Thai iced teas at the restaurant & ended up requesting for the rest of our food to go since we were on a time crunch. Thoughts: The pad see ew was delicious! We reheated it later that night & it was flavorful. I would definitely get this again. The chicken wings had good flavor but we found the chicken itself to be very dry inside. Made it difficult to enjoy. I loved the potato curry sauce that came with the roti. Simple but tasty dish. The pla pad kun chai was our least favorite dish we ordered. It didn't taste good at all after reheating. We're curious if we would've enjoyed this more if we ate it at the restaurant when it was fresh? The fish had a very fishy smell & didn't taste like it had been treated with lemon, vinegar, or both. We usually enjoy cod fish & lemongrass but this was a complete miss for us. Lastly, the Thai iced tea was okay. It was a bit too watery for us & we wished it could've been creamier. Overall, I would come back again to give Cha Yen another try. I did like the dishes we tried at the restaurant & perhaps the fish for example would've tasted better if had at the restaurant.
