I stopped by on the Holiday Stop & Stroll event in Newton Center for a BOGO (buy one get one free) smoothie, a great deal. It's a bit out of the way from the downtown area all the way down a street, so I hadn't passed it before I don't think, but it's worth visiting if you don't mind splurging on specialty smoothies. The menu was impressive with great options, also telling you all the vitamins and other good stuff contained in each one. I ordered something I hadn't had before, a smoothie called Long Life that included bee pollen along with acai, goji berries (dragonfruit), blueberries, banana, and pitaya. It tasted rich and dense, and felt great to drink! I also had some of my companion's order, which I have to note reminded me of the smoothies I loved getting at B.Good many times before they changed their menu too much over the years, raised the prices, closed multiple locations, and got rid of the glorious apple & bacon kale bowl. It's called the Namaste, a more typical smoothie with mango, kale, spinach, banana, and apple that also tasted fantastic. The service was great too. Delicious smoothies! I got the Namaste smoothie which reminded me of the B.Good kale smoothie. 11:11 Health Bar is a nice, little smoothie place. It has about 6 - 10 seats. Service was efficient. I would go back when I want to splurge on a smoothie. The smoothie I got was about $10 and my loved one's smoothie was about $11 (they got the Long Life smoothie). They use a mixture of freeze dried, and fresh fruits and vegetables. I did go during the holiday shop and stroll where we had a BOGO but if I was going on a regular day two smoothies would be over $20. While 11:11 has been open since 2018, Brinka Shishmanova took stewardship a little over 2 years ago, and has taken things to a whole new level. 11:11 had a wide and creatively concocted selection of Smoothies with names like "Hippie" (spinach, spirulina, banana, mango, kiwi, coconut water), "Inca" (banana, spinach, dried figs, cacao, spirulina, maca/Peruvian ginseng, peanut butter, almond milk), "Namaste" (banana, mango, chia seeds, kale, spinach, lemon, coconut water) which is said to promote "energy, alkalizing detox." 11:11 features 5 Açaí and Pitaya bowl options, each overflowing with plenty of palette-pleasing and healthy goodness. I personally enjoyed their "Coffee Heaven" smoothie, made with coffee, a full banana, plant-based chocolate protein, peanut butter, cacao nibs, and almond milk. I appreciated the attention to detail and proper blend of ingredients, so that no one component overpowered or insulted the senses. Another smoothie we enjoyed was the "Tropical Summer" (strawberry, banana, pineapple, mango, coconut water). Refreshing and yummy. It has a pitaya, tropical fruit, coconut water and banana base and is topped with banana, mulberries, shaved coconut, and bee pollen. This is a healthy option and incredibly filling! I have been here several times and have tried the 11:11 açaí bowl, the pitaya (dragonfruit) bowl, the coffee heaven smoothie, the hippie smoothie, the avocado toast, the overnight oats, and the tropical smoothie. The quality and taste is great, though everything is quite pricey. It is $10-$11 for a smoothie or açaí bowl, and $7-$8 for avocado toast. They are also great with customizations, though sometimes they run out of certain items, especially in the mornings before one of the managers (or owner?) runs out for a fruit run. Everything is fresh and the açaí bowls are cold, as they use frozen fruit in it, so it almost tastes like froyo. The smoothies are room temperature, which on a hot day can be disappointing, but I have had no issues with it. Overall, I will likely be back if I crave an açaí bowl in the near future. read more

Mostly good with some reservations: I ordered the Om smoothie and tuna sandwich for lunch. The total came to $20+ and while everything tasted fine it felt a little overpriced for the lunch. The tuna was interesting as it was really heavy on veggies and chickpeas and the tuna was almost imperceptible, but I still thought it was tasty. It's the type of place I wouldn't bring my kids to, we'd easily spend $65 just to grab a snack and they might take issue with the non-standard nature of the food. read more
