    Jjamppong- Spicy seafood Noodle Soup
    Tonya G.

This place use to be one of THE best things about the Morrow/Jonesboro area. It really makes me sad to see how it has gone down over the years. As a Korean/ Japanese/and Chinese food enthusiast, this place use to meet all my needs in one convenient location. Now sometimes I make a u turn in the parking lot, because I just can't with their 'no parking lot maintenance' plan. It's just tragic to see how what use to be such a classy spot has nearly turned into a house of horror. However, sometimes I still power through it just to get the jjamppong. It's a spicy seafood and noodle soup that is good on any day, but especially awesome when I feel I've been compromised. It's my 3rd line of defense against exposure to cold germs, right behind Echinacea and a mask. It's loaded with shrimp, scallops, calamari, delicious leeks, onions, etc. and noodles, swimming in a perfectly flavorful, gently spicy, red pepper broth. I've had it in other places, but their's is hands down the best, dilapidated restaurant and all.

    Hibachi chicken and steak

I went for lunch hour based on the reviews so I wouldn't waste as much money . I got the hibachi lunch to go . I asked for my steak to be medium rare . It wasn't , it was more well done and it seem like it set out. The chicken was in some teriyaki sauce . I didn't asked for teriyaki chicken I just asked for regular hibachi chicken . The fried rice was good and garlic sauce that came with it was good .That's why I gave the two stars . The yum yum sauce was nasty and super sweet . The vegetables was kind of over cooked and tasted like they been sat out .

I've been coming to this place for years, and will probably keep coming as long as they're in business. This is, hands down, the best sushi you can get on the south-side of Atlanta. The Salmon-on-Salmon roll is DELICIOUS and I usually get several when I want a good meal of sushi. The sushi chef is a master-craftsman who carefully prepares each order. His presentation is artistic and the fish is always fresh and full of flavor. There is nothing better than a sushi lunch with a couple of large, hot-sakis. Truthfully, the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the building has slipped over the years. The waterfall and koi pond in the front has been stagnant for too long, and there is definitely a noticeable odor throughout. Hasn't affected the quality of their food, but I can certainly see why it's a turn-off for some.

The first thing you see when you enter is the Golden Buddha. Rub his belly as you cross the bridge into the realm of Chinese Foo

This be a brief, but fair review of the Chinese portion of this shambling playground of Asiatic edibles. I must specify "Chinese" simply because this location also features a sushi bar, a sit-down Japanese restaurant, the ubiquitous Japanese grills (oh I give you extra shrimp lady, catch it in you mouth!!) *and* a separate Korean section. Of course the grills are the most fun and the most familiar at this location as this is where your good Captain first began sharpening his palate for all things Nipponese with fine cardboard-boxed sake and wasabi-encased tidbits of what might possibly be spicy tuna roll... hard to tell... Aye, it took him time to develop an affinity for the finer sakes, the ability to eat sushi sans wasabi and the good sense to visit M.F. Sushi to check out the thigh-high slits in the pretty waitresses dresses..... but even with his heightened level of sophistication and his obvious better-than-you-ness, he still has an undying affection for the Number Nine location for Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha, buddy. Sorry, slipped into third person there... been happening a lot lately. Anyway. For awhile the Golden Buddha Number 9 existed as a tradition for me and my childhood friend Dale and his wife Penny. It was the roaring 90's, a time of impetuous youth, a time of daring acts of piracy, a time of eating raw fish.. on purpose even! Ah, to be young and hungry again, me hearties! So there we were, backed into a corner and.... no, wait, wrong blog. It was a time of celebrity, as Olympic star (and local hometown hero) Steve Lundquist dined at the very next grill table, having *free* grilled shrimp thrown into his mouth JUST LIKE US!!! Truly it was a time for glitterati, power and verve. Paris Hilton dreams of partying with Captain Drew in the 90's. I remember a time before Dale and Penny were wed, when they were in the midst of one of those fights they had just before they realized how much they loved each other... so Dale was nursing a broken heart and I were his wingman..... together we drank an entire box of sake and went to see a Jackie Chan movie, partly in order to let the sake settle, but mostly because we were convinced that we could speak Cantonese (the disconnect between Chinese speech and Japanese drink was lost on us, obviously). I daresay that no one has snored louder in a Jackie Chan moviehouse than Yours Truly. And that brings me to the Chinese section of Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha Number 9, where I feted my parents on the belated occasion of my recent birthday. The service was fast, the waitstaff was plentiful (no fewer than four different people paid call on our table) and the food was... just okay. Nothing special. Nope. It was good, it was decent... not saying I hated it, it was just "okay". Of course we didn't order anything exotic, like sushi off the belly of a hot Chinese girl (which is too bad really because I'm of a mind to try eating things off the bellies of hot Chinese girls) or dine upon roasted tiger knuckles (the month had an 'r' in it) but you'd think with a place as lush looking at Mr. Lee's Golden Buddha Number 9 that you'd have dancing dragons, sizzling platters of delight and other fantastic voyages into culinary exploration (see the aforementioned belly thing). No, you want to go to this restaurant for the other experiences, and possibly on a middling busy night so that the kitchen is revved up a bit more for you. Maybe *you'll* get that belly dish I wanted. Please let me know how it was. No, for real. Seriously. I'm not foolin' here. And tell 'em that Captain Drew sent you!

The red dragon roll n crazy roll. SUPER GOOD!!

FIRST OFF, this was my very first time here. A girl-friend suggested we have dinner here, so sure, why not. Like everyone description about the entrance, when you walk in you will see this golden Buddha in the front. There's two separate path ways to walk but I'm guessing it leads to the same side? Well, my friend and I sat in the Japanese sushi bar. We were greeted nicely n given a menu. Another server also came n asked what did we wanted to drink. I haf some warm tea. My friend who is a "regular customer", ordered the crazy roll.. I didn't know what to order so I got the red dragon. Good thing I did because it tasted yummy!!! We also got some seaweed salad n some cold middle which tasted pretty good. We then were served with some oranges for dessert! Less than 15 minutes away from home. Great customer service. Bomb diggity quality in food. Good pricing. HECK YEAH I BE BACK :D

I agree with the overall reviews. Its not the good but it's not bad. It taste more like Buffett food. Doesn't taste fresh. I'm sure everything is premade and headed. I wasn't happy with my food and done plan on coming back. I'll rather a buffet for this quality The water was nasty and the sushi taste like grocery store sushi

Went here for the first time. Very friendly staff. We ordered take out. The appetizer sample was delicious. Food portions were great and the food was delicious. We will return again.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and I love love love this place. Great service and great food! The servers are always so kind. Best items to order: fresh broccoli & beef and general tso's chicken. The sushi is delicious too! I recommend the crunchy roll and volcano roll! They recently renovated the restaurant and it looks great. Also, I work until 8:30 PM and come here afterwards. It's open late, the food is good and alcohol is available (you know, in case you've had a rough day).

Order the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. Very odd taste and poorly made. Nice people though but will never order sushi from here again.

So I used yelp to help me find it and Amazing Teriyaki came up. Upon walking in, I was not greeted but when I spoke to the guy at the register he was extremely nice. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, with extra meat and brown rice and veggies. I was debating on the fried rice, but decided on the brown rice instead because I love it. My order was made while I was waiting. The restaurant is just like the name says.... Express. There are a few chairs and tables inside, where you can eat there if you wanted to. It didn't take long for me to get my order and it was perfect. I had a short drive home but the food filled my car up and I was ready to tear into it when I got home. Everything was amazing, also like the name. Chicken was cooked to perfection with the right amount of teriyaki sauce added on-top. I was happy I went with the brown rice because it was the icing on the cake. It was enough food for me to have two different servings. Overall, I will most definitely be back!!

They told me it was nothing wrong with my order... I'm so disappointed. The place was clean ig‍. But I would recommend the American Deli that's a few stores up or the china a they have pretty good Chinese food

The Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the best I've ever had, the shrimp was jumbo sized and the sauce was sweet but not too spicy and didn't make the fried batter soggy (we ordered twice! The shrimp was large, perfectly fried, and coated in a sweet yet spicy sauce. Despite the sauce, the shrimp stayed crisp and didn't get soggy 10/10 recommend. We ended up getting two orders. We also had the miso soup, which was delicious. It was like what we needed on a cold day. It was warm and satisfying. It did kind of taste like a Ramen broth, but it was still good, nonetheless. I ordered the Ramen Spicy Shrimp Golden, chef's kiss! I added some crispy garlic to the top and chili oil. Listen, this was a beautiful dish. I even saved it for later. Amazing. The noodles did not get fluffy after sitting in the broth for a while 10/10. We do intend on making this our regular spot. The only downside is the parking. It's extremely limited, and it's in a plaza with several other businesses, but if you check on the backside of the restaurant, there is additional parking.
