After 3 other restaurants told us it would be an average wait time of 2 hours for our party of 8 on a Saturday night, the bright lights of 12 Lunar caught our eye as we were driving around and I'm so glad they did! We were seated immediately and the vibes were unmatched. Our waitress, T, was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our large group. The food was fantastic and we had a variety items from the menu including: the Hibachi Shrimp with Chicken, Volcano Sushi, Bento boxes, and appetizers like the Bang Bang Shrimp, Gyozas, and Calamari. The Bang Bang Shrimp was one of the best I've ever had, the shrimp was jumbo sized and the sauce was sweet but not too spicy and didn't make the fried batter soggy (we ordered twice! Lol) Everything was delicious. The DJ played music for every generation, and the karaoke made the night so much fun. This is definitely our new favorite spot on the Southside! This is a hidden gem! My friend and I were looking for a location that would be conveniently located for both of us, and that's when we discovered 12 Lunar! The service here is super-fast. They're great. They educate you on the menu. You can ask any questions. There's no problem with them giving you information or letting you know how this dish will be presented or prepared. Service was fast. Food is delicious. As stated previously, this was my first time here, and I wasn't aware that they had drink specials. I went on a Wednesday, and they had two and three-dollar margaritas. They are served in mini cups, but it's two dollars. You get what you paid for. were tasty. I could taste the alcohol, that's not what I needed it We ordered the Bang Bang shrimp. The shrimp was large, perfectly fried, and coated in a sweet yet spicy sauce. Despite the sauce, the shrimp stayed crisp and didn't get soggy 10/10 recommend. We ended up getting two orders. We also had the miso soup, which was delicious. It was like what we needed on a cold day. It was warm and satisfying. It did kind of taste like a Ramen broth, but it was still good, nonetheless. I ordered the Ramen Spicy Shrimp Golden, chef's kiss! I added some crispy garlic to the top and chili oil. Listen, this was a beautiful dish. I even saved it for later. Amazing. The noodles did not get fluffy after sitting in the broth for a while 10/10. We do intend on making this our regular spot. The only downside is the parking. It's extremely limited, and it's in a plaza with several other businesses, but if you check on the backside of the restaurant, there is additional parking. read more

This was a nice spot.. there's lots of parking and also a lot of things on the menu, which in the picture s you can see we ordered a little bit of everything. My server was maya and she was a delight. Very upbeat and happy. I did look at the menu and noticed that we would be charged if we had a party of 5 or less.. this is becoming a big trend in restaurants in all states. I can't give it 5 stars because the spicy karaage ramen was tasty but it was as if they ran across the street to chick fil a, got some nuggets and put them in my spicy chicken ramen. I like that you can get hibachi, ramen, & sushi. My sushi was quality but not elite. It's definitely what the soufside needs. I'm always for new experiences. My ramen was made well and the pork was tender and juicy. Service was smooth, and aesthetically this spot not too much, but not run down. First time here, I am a sushi lover so I was excited! I ordered a volcano roll, spicy tuna roll and bang bang shrimp. The sushi is not good. Has no flavor! The spicy tuna roll was not spicy and the tuna taste fishy and had a bad aftertaste could not finish it. The Volcano roll had this weird crust on it, was expecting the tempura crust, the inside was mushy avocado and the avocado had a bad taste to it as well. Giant pieces of crab was put on top and I just picked at the crab on top to eat. I tried to eat some but the mushiness and the taste was just not good, they did not fry it right the inside was straight mush. The bang bang shrimp was good though! I'm sad bcus there are not many good sushi spots this side of town. But the way the sushi had no flavor at all and was fishy or had a weird taste.. I prolly won't be back! read more

Went here on a whim because our ramen spot we usually go to wasn't opened yet and we were starving! The service was amazing and everyone was super nice. They were playing anime on the tv as well as another animated show and it was just a very open and friendly vibe. The menu wasn't that unique if I'm being honest but still a good ramen option for the area. We ordered the rum punches which were very yummy (I forgot to take pictures of those!! Oops!). The gyozas had absolutely no flavor though unfortunately. But they made up for it with the awesome bao buns and the spicy tonkatsu ramen. The pork in that ramen was probably one of the best I have! It was a little after lunch time, so it wasn't crowded. Thow they forgot about my Philly cheesesteak rolls or waiter made up for the mishap and didn't charge us for them(really nice of him) and they warmed up good and tasted good, when I ate them later. Now my mom a sometimes sushi eater, ordered lemon pepper wings and fries. The wings where so greasy and didn't taste like there was any lemon pepper on them, to accommodate mom they gave her a card for a free or discounted appetizer... a waist for her because she lives on the other side of town.
