I bought the BYOB Haunted History Tour of St. Paul deal and was expecting a fun experience. Instead it was complete rip-off. 1. It was very difficult to contact and get a respond from the company 2. The schedule was rigid & inconvenient, 7pm Sunday & 1pm Wednesday 3. The tour lady - Mary - was monotone when telling her stories, you could hardly understand the stories nor hardly hear them if sitting in the further end in the limo. 4. The stories were NOT descriptive or even thrilling to hear. Very boring "I heard from someone" ... you can do better than that yourself. 5. There isn't much into the tour, first 30mins outside at Forepaugh's restaurant, the hop in the limo down to Landmark center, Court house and Summit ave. On foot on Summit Ave and the limo drove back to where you began. We happened to pick the tour on a hot day. There was no AC in the limo, It was sweaty hot & stuffy inside. It was not a fun experience. After all, with $39 per person, I got nothing out from this tour but a waste of time and money. So think twice if you see this deal !!! You would be wise spending your money where else. I would report this deal as a scam if i can. read more

The venues we visited were very nice and I would give the wineries and the cheese house a total of 3.5 stars. *** The ONE STAR rating is as follows: * Per the wine tour advertisement, we rented a limo. We did not get a limo; we got a poorly decorated and dirty party bus. There were six of us ladies in our group and a total of 12 on the bus. We decided to pick our battles by not making a scene and make the best of it. Lee is very wine informative and that is where it should stop. At every venue, Lee invaded our personal spaces. From my observation, I think Lee may believe himself to be somewhat of a charmer. At every turn, there he would be with this uncomfortable grin on his face which included some unwanted touches; nothing of a sexual nature, just touches...this made us all very uncomfortable. When we arrived back at our pickup location after the tour, we offered a tip (I always tip regardless of the service). It appeared we six ladies were the only ones to tip as Lee asked if the money we gave him was from everyone on the bus or from just us. When we told him the money was just from us six, Lee announced to us all, "lets see how much you gave me"; he then proceeded to count his tip money right there in front of us. My GF and I booked a wine tour recently and had a great time! Lee showed up in a 20 person limo, yet it was just the two of us that booked the Groupon. We were very thankful Lee did not cancel the Wine Tour since it was just the two of us. We toured three wineries, Chateau St. Croix, lots of full bodied red wines, Red River (?) Winery, some sweet and lots of reds, and then the final winery with wood fired pizza was our favorite. The first winery was elaborate and on lots of acreage. Older castle like buildings and furniture. The second winery was smaller and the owner lived on the property. The view was gorgeous and in the summer they provide live music outside. The third winery was awesome! Live music inside and a fire pit outside as well as a hand build fire stone pizza oven. The owners were very friendly and service was quick. This place was very busy and the crowd was mid-thirties to mid-forties and hip. We really enjoyed the ambiance of this place. The 3 stars... We both felt that Lee needs to have a companion with him on the tour. The information he provided in the Limo as we drove from winery to winery was informative of where we were, but once we arrived at the wineries, it was a little odd. Lee would hang out with you the whole time as if he was part of the friend group and would take over giving information on the winery, not allowing the owner/employee to do their job. If Lee had a coworker or companion on the trip, he would have someone to talk with and still enjoy the trip while allowing his customers to enjoy the group they came with. Most people also have a personal comfort space, and having someone really close, or touching their back/shoulders continuously will tend to make them uncomfortable (especially women). When my GF and I had to time ourselves, we had a freakin' blast! Lee just needs to establish boundaries and remember this is a business/customer relationship and all needs to remain as such. The limo is great, however, no water was provided. Plenty of ice and glasses and tons of space. Since I didn't drink a lot of red wine, I requested we stop at a liquor store so I could buy some wine I enjoy to drink, and was not allowed to do so. If we were able to make a stop, this would have made my experience much more fun. One more tip to Lee- Please don't count your tips in front of the customers, it's not classy. I do not agree with the "Customer is Always Right" moto- because it is so not true, but when a paying customer makes a simple request to stop somewhere for a few minutes, allow them to do so. Well, he got us there. I booked a limo a few weeks back for a bachelor party. Pretty simple: one-way trip, from Forest Lake to downtown Minneapolis. We paid for an hour. Lee arrived on time and requested payment up front, which was fine. The only issue was that the tip was part of our total payment (one flat rate, for everything), so that had to be paid up front as well, which kind of defeats the purpose of a tip. Had it been paid at the end, it would've been substantially lower. I don't know another way to say this: Lee, himself, was an ass. When we got in the limo, it was silent, so we had to ask him to turn music on, which he grumbled about. When we got on the freeway, he went FAST, passing most other cars with the assumed intention of dropping us off in as little time as possible. I asked to clarify that we had the limo for a full hour, and not just the duration of the trip, and he grumbled. Once we got near downtown - in record time - I asked if we could just cruise around downtown until the hour was up, so as to enjoy the full experience we paid for. Grumbling, which must've meant yes, because he complied. At about 45 minutes in, Lee got on the intercom for the first time. "We're at your destination. Do you want to just get out now or should I go around the block one more time?" We conferred and asked him to circle once more. Even then, the ride would end in under an hour, so we thought this was reasonable. "You guys," he said, shaking his head. "I'll knock you all out." Um, what? Was he trying to be funny? After a very awkward pause, he got back on the intercom and gave an unconvincing, "just kidding," before launching into some narrative of where Prince used to live. It was all very odd. read more

Cannot get ahold of this company. Bought a Groupin and no availability to book. I feel robbed

A friend and I took this wine tour purchased through Groupon. First off, I must say, the wineries, lunch, and boat tour were very nice. All great stops so my 1-star rating is only for Lee & his business. 1. It was VERY difficult to reach this company to book the reservation. The online appointment service through Groupon did not work. I called the company, the phone number was directed to a different number without a proper voicemail recording set up but left a message anyway, hoping I had the right place. I went on their website and saw they had several phone numbers so I tried them all. All but one was disconnected. I sent an email to the address listed on the (very outdated) website. No response. Contacted Groupon and only after Groupon contacted the business did they respond to my inquiries. Mary, who takes the appointments, did send a follow-up email after we talked on the phone but her email included the wrong day of the reservation. I emailed back, no response. I then tried to change the date of my reservation (it was still a few weeks out) and no response. I just left it as is and hoped there would be a limo in the parking lot on the original date. 2. Lee, the driver, has his own agenda for the day and is very particular that you follow his instructions precisely. We first met the group (8 people in total) in the Rosedale parking lot and proceeded to get a wine lecture while we just stood outside the stretch Navigator for about 30 minutes. This information could have been relayed during the hour drive to the first winery. He got upset when my friend and I weren't paying attention to his lecture. When we stopped for lunch, he had very direct instructions that we must go to the counter to pay first and then we'd eat as a group and then we could look around the cheese shop and sample the various cheeses. We're grown adults and don't need to be wrangled like children. 3. Lee is downright creepy. He made us feel uncomfortable from the very first moment. He kept talking about how we'll all be giving hugs by the end of the day and how he loved to get hugs. He just has an aura that feels like creepy uncle. The way he lurched around us all at the wineries/lunch/boat ride was an invasion of space. He made it feel like this was his group of friends so he wanted to butt in when the folks at the wineries tried to do their job and explain the various wines. He wanted to chat and visit during our stops...we had no desire to talk with him...we were there to spend time as friends and catch up after many months of not seeing each other. On the walk back to the limo from the boat ride, he was behind us and made a comment to the lines of 'look at those two hot girls.' Not appropriate. Like another review mentioned, he needed a companion to spend the day with...the guests on the tour are not there to be his friends for the day. 4. Lee made it very clear on a few occasions that tips for your driver were not included. I felt this was very unprofessional and I was so turned off by his behavior throughout the day, we did not tip him. He owns the company, he can set the price of the tour and he should just charge more for the flat fee of the day rather than beg for tips. It was very off-putting. 5. We were told we would return by 4pm. We returned to the Rosedale parking lot at 6pm. Luckily neither of us had plans that we needed to get back for but I thought this was rather disrespectful of people's time. Overall, the wineries we visited (Winehaven and Wild Mountain), the cheese shop/lunch stop (Eichten's) and boat ride (St Croix river out of Taylor's Falls) were delightful. Lee's Limousine service was the opposite of delightful. He needs to have boundaries with his guests and allow his guests to enjoy their day without him butting in. Or he should focus on running the business (returning calls and emails, updating the website) and hire a professional driver who is focused on providing great service to the guests. read more

My boyfriend and I took Lee's Wine Tour. It was great. We were in the limo with about 14 other people. He gave us a lot of information about wine and the places we went to. Fun, humorous tour. All the stops had great wine and people. I recommend it for dates, family event or friends. I think he does Groupon often, so look for the deal. read more

We went on Lee's winery tour for my bachelorette party. I can't express enough how much fun this experience was! We went to two wineries (and they were great), a boat ride, cheese tasting, and a limo ride to each location. Lee drove us and was extremely knowledgable about the businesses and areas we traveled to. He was also very polite and quite funny. This was such a great experience and we loved every minute of it! I highly recommend Lee's service and this tour to anyone looking for a day of fun in the Minneapolis area! read more

I just had one of the most miserable two hours of my life. I signed up for a rather expensive holiday lights tour in a limo. 1. It was not a limo. It was a rundown bus. 2. The current temperature is -1. This bus had NO heat, at all!!! 3. The driver scraped a 12X12 area of his window to see out of. He ran three stop signs because he was unable to properly operate the bus. 4. Then he told us this heating situation was "normal" in limos. I am super disappointed. Just say no! read more

I would avoid at all costs. They offered a BYOB Haunted History tour on Groupon without stating what dates the tour was valid for. Upon purchasing, you learn that the tour is only valid Sundays at 7:00pm and Wednesdays at 1:00pm! Who wants to go on a haunted tour in the daylight and drink at 1:00 on a weekday? The company would not respond to attempts to contact about the dates and times. I can't comment on the limo service, but based on the customer service and the worthless deal they are offering, I would avoid this company in the future. read more

Wine Tasting Tour off Groupon.com - I will start by saying overall a great experience thanks to good company, a beautiful drive with gorgeous weather at an affordable price. The destinations were awesome with friendly, professional and knowledgeable vendors that I would definitely consider visiting again and recommending to others. However, the driver/owner...not so much. The driver, Leland seemed to be a wine enthusiast himself as well as knowledgeable himself. The tour started with us standing in the cold outside in the parking lot listening to his 20 minute speech that I felt could have been done on the ride to the first destination or not at all. I'd suggest surveying the passengers to get a feel for what they'd like or how much they want to know. If he were to get a group of wine enthusiast such as himself have at it, ramble all you want. In our case there were 10 of us, all women, age range 20's-60's and pretty much everyone said the most they know about wine is they like to drink it, no one asked for a lesson in terminology or how to consume it. The driver strikes me as someone who has been doing this a long time and still has old fashioned ideas of what people like and what's professional behavior. By the time we reached our first stop he had already made a "bathroom humor" type joke that I felt was a bit unsavory considering the passengers were all women, not a group of frat buddy's on a bachelor party. Towards the end of the tour he proceeded to tell us over the limo speakers about all the bad reviews he's received and told us in detail what they were like, "how dare they say that about me, can you believe that?" almost as if to warn us, all the while doing the things people complained about. Why would you share with people all the bad things they had to say about you. He said they wrote "his suite had food on it" His suite was indeed dirty and tacky with holes. He wore a navy blue blazer, ugly cartoonish neck tie, black slacks and worn out tennis shoes, very sloppy in my opinion 1. He said they wrote "the limo windows were crack" which they aren't it's the tint cracking and bubbling All of the above and then some, the limo could use a good wipe down and should after every use, some of the seats were torn, sticky surfaces, dirty windows and the mirror ceiling has smears of some sort 2. He said they wrote, "he forced us to listen to his bands CD" He mentioned he played in a band and granted a couple of passengers (NOT ALL) asked to hear some of his music but I don't think it was necessary for him to climb in back with us, shut the door and sing along with the song and to top it off listen to the CD on loop the ENTIRE trip 3. And last he said they wrote, "the driver was creepy" Now this can be interpreted differently by each individual but I think it's always best to ride on the side of caution, better to be safe than creep people out. I can say he is bordering on being too touchy feely. It's one thing to lend a helping hand to people getting out of the limo but lurking around behind everyone and putting your arms around people or giving unsolicited hugs is a bit much. where do I begin... first, the driver we had was not Lee and he was very nice, other than that, I would never book with this service again. First, I had made the reservation initially for the Limo car, then changed it with in a few hours of booking, to his Limo bus, for $420.00, which included the tip. I received a voice mail from Lee, later that day, indicating he changed the booking to the Limo bus and everything was fine. the driver shows up at the appointed time of 2 pm, with the limo car. I had 20 guests, which the limo car only accommodates 11. okay, so the driver left to go back to Wyoming from our home in North Branch, to exchange the vehicles. 65 minutes later he returned with the party bus from hell. mean while I received a call from Lee, who was out of town, saying it was not their fault, I booked the car not the bus. I reminded him of our conversation and even told him I saved the voicemail from him, indicating he changed the booking. (whatever happened to the customer is always right). now fast forward 65 minutes. 1. the air conditioning was non existent on the party bus from hell, except where the driver was sitting and it was still luke warm at best. did I say it was 91 degrees with a dew point of 70!!! the windows on the bus were about 6 inches and not all of them opened and it did nothing to cool off the bus anyway. there were little fans hanging, but only a couple of them actually worked. I had to have the driver stop at quik trip, so everyone could get something to drink, because I thought some of them were going to have a heat stroke. so much for looking nice and fresh in our dress clothes. 2. the decorations strewn about on the bus, consisted of Christmas garland, that was hanging like my 3 year old grandson had either put it up or was in the process of pulling it all down. 3. the wine glasses with paper napkins in them for decoration, that were placed on the tables for people to use (?) were dirty with dried wine in the bottom. 4. the girls in our group had white skirts on their dresses and 4 of them, walked off the bus with stains that looked like wine or something similar. needless to say, I think they are ruined. 5. we booked the limo for the Minimum run time of 2 hours. the driver told us that he was able to pick up his next group 30 minutes later than what they booked. okay.......so we boarded at 305 pm, and were dropped off in St Croix Falls at 415 pm. so, we had the limo party bus from hell, for 70 minutes instead of the agreed upon time of 120 minutes. the driver stated he could not adjust the fee himself, that would need to be done by Lee himself. well its been 4 days now and I haven't heard a thing from Lee's Limo Service. I booked this reservation, then saw the reviews, that were not very kind, so I was very Leary of continuing, but in our area, there is not very many choices. so.........only book this service if you are desperate and only if you don't care about your guests.
