Time for an update! (Not that anything has changed). Lee's is still awesome. Tonight fiancé and I stopped by not knowing the Women's World Cup was on. The bar was filled with fans so it made for a lively atmosphere. And, we got a free bomb when USA scored! Even better, we stumbled upon a free-oyster give away. I can't remember the exact interval but every so often they do a customer appreciation free oyster day. They definitely care of their customers! The man shucking the oysters was very personable and conversational (even though I'm sure it's easy to get annoyed shucking as many oysters for as many people as he is). $2 off signature cocktails during happy hour and the three drinks I tried were all yummy. We ordered buffalo calamari, fried pickles, and happy hour portion duck nachos. Duck nachos are a big portion for $5. I wish the buffalo calamari had been a little crispier but besides that good flavor. Service was a hair on the slow side but based on the crowd, totally understandable and we had plenty of drinks and oysters to help time pass. Our waitress was really nice and had great suggestions. We really enjoyed this restaurant when we first moved. A no nonsense local bar, but the service AND the food quality quickly went downhill (cold fries, soggy chicken tenders etc). The drinks are hit or miss depending on who is behind the bar. The events they have are quite fun though. read more

This restaurant is located in Canton, but not directly on the square which makes parking easier. There is street parking located all over, so parking isn't too bad. Lee's has great daily happy hour specials, including 50 cent oysters which are my favorites! I would suggest coming in right when happy hour begins so you can get a good spot. One positive is that the staff turn over tables fairly quickly so you dont have to wait too long to be seated. I highly suggest you order the crab dip, it is one of the best ones I have tried lately. I find the food here is pretty good and more variety that typical sports bars. You might have to wave the waiter/bartender down a couple times since it does get pretty busy during happy hour. read more

What a great experience on Sunday night. Went out to dinner with a small group of 6 - Lee's doesn't take reservations but was able to accommodate our group immediately with the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. There were heat lamps between every outdoor table and our waitress was busy but still attentive. Sadly, they advised us their outdoor dining area closes early (9pm) on a Sundays, but this was still plenty of time to enjoy our meal. We all ordered fun drinks off their cocktail menu, including the pepperoncini martini, the key lime pie martini, and the orange dream crush - but the entire table agreed that the blueberry crush was by far everyone's favorite! Strong but fruity and topped with soaked blueberries, yum! We started with the Chesapeake Roasted Oysters - covered with old bay and crab, and the crab dip, both of which were demolished in seconds by the group. Everyone was satisfied with their entrees as well, from the blackened ahi tuna sandwich to the shrimp and crab quesadilla to the kale salad. The food was a hit. We all left with full bellies and plans for coming back together soon! Our waitress was also great - splitting the bill for each of us individually and checking in on us periodically when necessary. We had a great experience here at Lee's after a night of axe throwing. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. She was also wearing a Yankees hat (a plus for me as a fellow Yankees fan). Haha The seafood was good. I mainly indulged on Shrimp and Oysters. My two faves! The shrimp was good and perfectly Old Bay seasoned. The oysters I was less than thrilled with. Stopped by for a drink during a cycling break. Nice place with plenty of outdoor seating. We were helped immediately. Draft list was short with no locals so that was disappointing. Had a Narragansett Pilsner. Refreshing. My wife had a Cucumber Press. Talk about refreshing. She is already looking up how to make herself. 2nd Visit: Again on a bike ride. Rode up to Clifton Park Mansion & then back to Patterson Park. Tried to find a new stopping point but it was closed. So back to Lee's. Glad we did too. We were not going to eat. I've been to Lee's a handful of times now and have really come to enjoy it. If I lived just a little closer this would be my neighborhood bar. I will say my best service is when I sit at the bar. The bartenders are great and personable. Drink wise, they have a really extensive whiskey/bourbon menu which is nice. But they also do a really good dirty martini, so I'm covered all the way around. Food wise, mussel Monday is by far my favorite night. The mussels are great and flavorful. I also really enjoy the fries and all the varieties you can get them in. I've had good burgers here as well. This is my favorite place to go for HH. I live an hour away and when we have time we'll make the drive here because it's just SO value. HH on Friday starts early and is from 11-7 and they have .50 oysters which are HUGE and very meaty. They also have a crab grilled cheese that is just heavenly. Their chipotle loaded fries are also amazing. If you like Buffalo flavored things they have buffalo calamari as well that literally tastes like buffalo wings. Parking can be a bit difficult because it's street parking but we always find a spot. I also love that this place is never super crowded or anything. We've never had to wait for a table and staff is quick and friendly. For drinks I love their crushes. I think for drinks it's $2 off for HH and then also certain apps are discounted too. We just moved to the area and decided to stop by because it looked popular and had a lot of outdoor and indoor (with windows) seating options. We ordered a bunch of things off the menu (e.g., wings, fries, fried pickles, risotto). I didn't have the wings, but the verdict was underwhelmed. Fries portion was massive, but they were soft and we like them with more bite/crunch to them. I loved the fried pickles. I'm used to pickle chips, but these were battered and fried spears. Great crunch/texture/flavor and the dip was good too. The risotto was underwhelming, but reheated really well the next day. We also got a kale salad which was surprisingly amazing: super fresh, lots of goodies on it to balance out the kale. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. (We're sensitive to social distancing and it got a little crowded, but with all the outdoor options and seating next to large open windows, we felt fine.) read more

I was really excited to try this place when visiting from out of town, especially seeing such high ratings. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed overall. The service was alright - it took a while for us to get our server's attention to get menus and order, but she was really friendly and personable. The food itself was both overpriced and underwhelming. To start, we had the fried pickles and the roasted oysters. The fried pickles breading fell off as soon as biting into it. I am a huge fan of roasted oysters, but these fell extremely short for me especially for $15. The seasoning was not at all flavorful and bland, and personally I didn't like how they're roasted but then served on a bed of ice. We then shared the Shrimp and Crab pizza $17.50. The pizza was okay but really nothing special and with the amount of seafood that was actually on the pizza, I didn't think it justified the price. The dough consistency itself was pretty poor for a pizza. Unfortunately based on this experience, I wouldn't return. My overall take away was mediocre bar food with high prices. read more

I've only been to Lee's once, but I had a good time! It has a fun bar in a lively environment, I enjoyed looking at whatever they decorated the walls with, and the food was surprisingly on point! I looked up a fun place we can take them to that featured crab, and after reviewing some Yelp reviews I settled on Lee's, which I had never heard of before. I am so glad we chose this place, it's a little off the beaten path, which worked out well for us because the restaurant was less busy and it was easy to find a parking spot. They had both brunch and lunch options, I opted for the "Crab cake Sammie" but it was so much crab I didn't eat the bun. My one suggestion is to have a crab cake and side option instead of a crab cake sandwich. The crab was fresh and the cake held together well even though it didn't seem to have too much bread crumbs or flour. I really enjoyed it! As soon as the Baltimore dining restriction was lifted, my wife and I dashed over to Lee's to enjoy their amazing atmosphere. The team is exercising a new set of precautions with dining mandates to ensure their longevity which includes masks, distancing, cleaning tables between customers, and contact tracing. We grabbed a seat at a table by the bar and took notice of how quickly the staff was diligently cleaning tables between folks and ensuring everyone is wearing a mask, which we appreciated. Since it was Friday, we took advantage of their happy hour (half of beer, cocktails, and a dollar a shuck). We both got cocktails and my wife went with the oysters which she found fresh and delicious. Cocktails were well made with generous amounts of the good stuff. For dinner I got the Cajun chicken wrap and she got a half and half of the soups (cream of crab and Maryland crab). My wrap was fantastic- the pineapple salsa coupled with the fresh spinach was perfect. The perfectly seasoned shoe string crispy fries were also an addictive and tasty accompaniment. Her soup was very rich, so the half and half was a good call. She also grew up on the eastern shore, in a crabbing family, so her praise of the soup carries weight. We started out with the duck confit nachos, which were really good, a little on the salty side but overall really good. My boyfriend did the oyster po boy which was a really huge portion. Live WORM squirming in my oysters!!....sure this may come with the territory of oysters, but when I brought this to the attention of the waiter, there was no acknowledgement that this could be an unpleasant experience, and instead I was told the worms are there to clean the up the oysters, without any apology or willingness to make things right. My quick search of the web demonstrated that poor quality/not food-grade oysters that are stored unsafely, damaged, or have open shells before shucking are most likely to harbor these worms. Will not be returning and others should think twice before ordering oysters from a place that does not practice strict food hygiene. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now, and we finally got around to it last Sunday. The reason I'd been wanting to go is because anytime we drive by it's always packed and looks like a great place when it's nice out since they have the garage doors. The reason it's not 5 stars is just because I didn't think the food we got was to die for - don't get me wrong, it was good, just not mind blowing. We started with the crab dip, where there didn't seem to be very many chunks of crab, which is weird because my cream of crab soup had the most crab I've ever seen in a soup - although the flavor was definitely lacking and was a little watery. The wings were good, nothing to write home about, but your typical buffalo wings. Now for the best thing we got - my boy friend got the lobster supper.... and man is that a deal! A pound and a half lobster with 2 sides for $15! The lobster came out bigger than I thought it would be and was extremely meaty! The one thing that I do want to mention that I didn't realize is that you don't get to choose your sides, those are pre-chosen this time being macaroni salad and corn - and you're not allowed to substitute. We also got a basket of fries which were good! I will say that you want to get here early - right when the deal starts (5-9 on Sundays) because our waitress let us know that they only get 50 lobsters and once they're gone they're gone. Friends were telling us how great a job they have been doing with carry out during the virus and we thought this a great fit for shopping local for our family's dinner. We ordered four entrees, an appetizer and a giant orange crush for my wife. Everything on our order was cooked perfectly and packaged well enough for the food to be hot when we arrived home. Upon pickup, the staff at the window was very friendly and operated their systems for carry out extremely smooth. A global pandemic is happening and they defended the decision to pack their bar full of people on social media. I saw yesterday they were serving drinks to people picking up carryout, who were all hanging out in front of the bar... I can't support a business that shows negligence like this. It's not fair to the other businesses that are struggling during this pandemic. It's not fair to the other Baltimoreans who give a s*** about themselves and their family. How is their food?
