For lunch my order was one grilled chicken sandwich ($7) and one BBQ pork ($10.69). Each were topped with their signature pickled daikon & carrots, sliced celery and raw jalapeno. The prices are good, especially in this economy. It was 92° and too hot to comfortably sit on the outdoor tables. It is unfortunate that the indoor seats were removed and replaced with plants, so we took our lunch to go. The Baguette bun is addicting! I love the crunch and texture on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. In addition to the baguettes, the menu includes Euro sandwiches on a croissant (ham, turkey, roast beef, tuna are available). Came to try their Biscoff coffee and was surprised on horrible the service was, but I based on previous reviews I shouldn't be surprised. I waited for a few minutes before being acknowledged, while being the only customer in the shop. I ordered the Biscoff coffee and shortly after 4 customers came in and ordered the same thing - when 2 orders were called before mine I inquired about my order and the female employee then handed me a regular iced coffee. I reminded her of my order and then proceeded to hand me coffee without the Biscoff cookie topped on the coffee, literally the whole point of the coffee. I asked if what I had in my hand was the Biscoff coffee to which she agreed & then I proceeded to ask if it could be topped with a cookie. Every other drink she made was topped with a cookie but mine?! Highly doubt I'll visit this location again & the cookie made no difference, drink was mediocre. read more

Big fan of Lee's since I was first introduced to the chain 20 some years ago. What a fantastic business and a large following of people from all cultures to Vietnamese sandwiches. Their food has always been great, and I am a super fan of their Banh mi's. This store in Chino gets packed at lunch, so be prepared or come early. Ordered the eggrolls with my sandwiches and ended up watching 5 orders after me being done before mine. The gentleman cooking and making the sandwiches and my eggrolls prioritized the sandwiches. Very disappointing experience at Lee's Sandwiches today, mainly due to misleading promotions and poor service. The blackboard outside clearly stated: "3-6 PM: Buy one sandwich, get the second half off." I ordered two sandwiches, but my receipt showed no half-off discount at all. When I asked a female staff member, she first gave me completely incorrect information, claiming it was a morning coffee promotion, which had nothing to do with what was written on the board. After she checked my receipt and realized there was no discount, she called over a male staff member. He then said the discount was already applied and that I "saved $2," explaining the sandwich was originally $10. That makes no sense -- half off should be $5, not $2. Then he changed the explanation again and said that since I ordered grilled pork, there was already a Friday special and discounts cannot be combined. Here's the problem: * I ordered two grilled pork sandwiches -- why would only one be discounted? * The blackboard never stated "only one per order" or "cannot be combined with other offers." The rules seemed to change on the spot depending on who I talked to. I stopped arguing because it was pointless. To make things worse, I ordered a coffee with less ice, and the cup was about 80% ice. When I pointed this out, I was told, "That is less ice," and then blamed with, "You already drank it." How else am I supposed to see that the cup is mostly ice without taking a sip? When my order was ready, the worker ignored me and refused to hand me my food, despite clearly being aware it was ready. When a coworker asked if she needed assistance, she dismissively said "no," even though it was obvious she was struggling and could have used the help. Her attitude was dismissive, uncooperative, and unacceptable for a customer-facing role.
