I made a comment about their recorded message and how frustrating it was and her reply to me was "well no one has ever complained about if before" as if my comment held no merit at all. I asked her to pass my comment onto her supervisor and again she recited that it has never been an issue before. I left feeling very disrespected by these two young women. I would suggest they need some customer service training with the elderly!

They told me that I have to have a designated driver. I told them I use Uber (who has a designated driver available middle of the week?) I took Uber and when I arrived, I showed them my ride receipt. They were incredibly weird about it. They wanted to know the name of the Uber driver who will pick me up (how should I know who will accept the ride in an hour??). Then they told me it was only 15 minutes (I would not have asked for sedation if I knew it was 15 minutes)They made me schedule an Uber while they are watching (I kid you not), and then proceeded to be 20 minutes late so I almost missed the Uber. And in the meantime, they make me bring the phone back again and prove yet again I booked an Uber. I didn't appreciate a) the bad information given to me, b) unfriendly, unwelcoming receptionist that made me feel like I am a criminal or something, c) their tardiness (there was no one else waiting) d) repeated proof that I called an Uber. As if I would take an Uber and drive back? how does that even make sense? Horrible place, they probably pay very little and get low quality front office. I get that they are worried about liability, but treating someone like a liar, multiple times, and giving bad information is uncalled for. This place charged me 1500 or so for a 15 minute imaging, yet they can't seem to hire competent front staff that treats you with dignity. I would find a different MRI place, clearly this place seem to be more about maximizing profits. Also make sure to open the SMS message that confirms your appointment because there is a link at the very end to fill forms (which is not at all obvious). Most places that confirm appointment do not burry additional to do's at the very end (which is very easy to miss if you just see the preview of the message and assume it's just confirmation. This place has a long way to go to be customer friendly.

I'm not sure how the technicians are in the back. I've not heard a complaint from my dad though. The waiting area is nice and clean. The coffee machine is a bonus. Fresh ground coffee, too! My only minor complaint is the children's toys in the waiting area. The toys are kind of loud and some parents don't know how to calm their children down and let them go wild. I may be biased though because I do kind of hate children.... Hence, minor complaint. Others were probably not as bothered as I was.

So, I did my research (including, of course, Yelp) and picked Portland Medical Imaging. From first phone call to walking out the door, they aced it. Appointment? Easy, prompt, pleasant. Reception? Easy, friendly, accurate, pleasant. Wait time? None. I was taken in promptly at my appointment time. Facility? Immaculate. Supplies? Considerate. Locking lockers, take the key with you. Shorty gowns, so there isn't extra material to get in the way. Deoderant etc provided if you would like to use it. Coffee in the waiting room. Technician? Outstanding. Thorough. Careful, considerate, gentle. Personable and even funny. They've really got a good thing going; at this point, I would recommend them to friends and family without reservation. Note: I have not received results yet, so if they biff that and don't send them or something, I'll re-review. Also, I have another appointment with them for a different matter in a couple of weeks, so, of course, if my experience is vastly different, I'll re-review. The scheduler called me back shortly before Thanksgiving, and got into an ortho on 12/2/25. They did x-rays and confirmed break. He also ordered an MRI. That's where RAYUS came in. I was able to get in on 12/9/25. All that was pretty quick seeing as how I don't live here. It was working with an outside scheduler with the ortho's office that caused the delay. Once I stopped waiting for them to call me back and called them, it was scheduled within a day. So ... for the review. They were great. I'd never had an MRI before and they took time to explain everything before hand. Don't get me wrong it wasn't fun and actually quite uncomfortable due to where the break was. None of that was on them though. They were kind, caring, and professional. This traveler is appreciative.

Once I got inside, the receptionists seemed rather lackadaisical and uninviting. While I was filling out my paperwork, a man came in and started apologizing rather loudly for his girlfriend's rude behavior a couple days earlier, which was also off putting. Once it was time for my MRI, I changed, then went into the MRI room. The person giving my MRI offered me headphones to listen to music of my choice, which was nice, because MRI machines are quite noisy. About a week later, I received very thorough results and notes from the doctor. Hopefully, I will not need a MRI again anytime soon, but if I do, I will choose another location.

I feel that I stuck with the facts but you'll have to decide for yourself. All Siker had to do was take a look at the imaging and the first report compared to the second instead of ignoring me for three weeks until I escalated this and he finally responded. I'm still so disappointed in all of this.
