It seems this is a common complaint.... we have been going here for a few years for just dental cleanings. I just took my child in to get some teeth pulled, and understandably he was very nervous. Dr. Nolan Brotherton was laughing while my son was crying, telling him it wasn't a big deal. It's a big deal! Acknowledge people! Then I told him we do not do epinephrine mixed with the numbing agent, and he became condescending, rude, and pushy, shrugging his shoulders and giving big expressions while saying "well, I guess we will just see if the regular stuff works on him then!" (Insinuating that it won't and that he will feel his teeth being yanked out). Telling me it's not a big deal (again!) and it's just a little bit and he's going to use it. No you're not! He proceeded without using it and my son did great, but our entire family, as well as extended family that I had referred there, will not be coming back. FYI his wife Jamie is much better but we haven't seen her there any of the visits in the last several years. read more

I started seeing Dr. Nolan in 2014 and he's always provided me awesome, conservative care! He's experienced, friendly and personable. His hygienists are very sweet, attentive and thorough. I trust that I've received thorough examination and no unnecessary procedures or recommendations. I never feel encouraged or pressured in any way, on any thing. I recommend this office to everyone! I started going to Legacy Ridge Dental on my son's recommendation. He'd been a patient there for a few years and had nothing but good things to say about them. I've been a patient now for a couple of years, and I, too, have nothing but kudos for them. Every single staff member that I've been in contact with has been friendly and professional. I would NOT visit Dr Nolan Brotherton if you have a phobia about dental work. Direct quotes, "you need to relax. This is not a big deal. You're so stressed out your cheek is tense and I can't get my tools in so you should just calm down." I wasn't saying anything, but my body was tense, and his rudeness made it that much worse. The rest of the staff are very warm and friendly, I'd recommend seeing his wife, Jamie Brotherton, if you must go to Legacy Ridge. I will not return. read more

Just like someone else said- The first time I visited, I was impressed. It's a nice office, and they did good work. That's why they get 2 stars. Yet, they recommended an unnecessary procedure. Because they quoted me at $50, I reluctantly went ahead with it. I paid and went on my way. But alas! A few months later I received an additional bill, more than doubling my original quote. It turns out that they had miscommunicated with the insurance company. Inside of biting the bullet on their mistake or working it out with the insurance company, they made me spend HOURS of my time calling the insurance company. Of course, the insurance company did nothing, because it was a misunderstanding on the dentist office's part. I called the office and offered to negotiate with them. They wouldn't do it. They made a mistake and wouldn't admit to anything. Instead of swallowing their pride, they lost a lifelong customer and his family over $50. Hopefully they'll learn that this is not the way to treat a customer! read more

The first time I visited was great but that did not continue to be the case. They are doing unnecessary work here. I did get one of the better cleanings I have ever had on my teeth. I left with many compliments on my healthy teeth and free bleach, as promised. The second time I visited, they insisted on at least $500 of work needing to be done. Nothing in my mouth was even uncomfortable. I let six months pass. Went back to my old dentist. Previous doctor did not even mention a single thing that needed to be done. This husband and wife team have a lot of impressive technology in their office. They are talking people into unnecessary work to pay for it. I cannot recommend this office. read more

They called me for a cleaning, you don't even get a cleaning. You get a look through your mouth and x-rays for a ridiculous price. You then have to book another appointment for any work before they do a cleaning. What a waste of time. I was just hoping to get a cleaning for once. The owner/doctor is very rude and you could cut the tension in that office with a knife. The staff there are not friendly. I have received work from them and even a root canal. I was very disappointed with there services which they send you somewhere else and have you come back to finish with them so the also get there cut . Such a waste! I visited Dr. Brotherton to get a new set of dentures. I had spoken to him on the phone and told him I had a subperiodontal inplant and he said no problem. When I got there he offered a couple of things we could do but did admit he had never seen an implant like mine. I don't feel comfortable with the things he suggested we could do so therefore I will not be returning. He was very nice and so were the assistants. I appreciate the effort he put in to try and help me. read more

I had an appointment here in February this year at 7 a.m. I have very bad PTSD. I mentioned it to the dental hygienist during my intake. Dr. Brotherton listens to heavy metal rock and roll while working on his patients. It was very hard to feel comfortable with him humming along to Soundgarden while drilling on someone nearby. I was kept waiting for nearly 40 minutes before my exam by Dr. Brotherton. I have very poor emotional regulation as a result of my PTSD, and began crying. I was not being loud or causing any kind of a scene. I was literally just sitting in my examination area, with my bib on my chest and tears running down my face. This is actually a common neurological issue with PTSD... the somatic nervous system does not work right. Well, Dr. Brotherton's hygienist must have said something to him while I was sitting there crying, waiting for my examination by him. He did not inquire what was happening with me--and instead he refused to finish my appointment and threw me out. It was very humiliating and showed a great deal of ignorance and lack of compassion on his part. This was a very stigmatizing thing to do with a patient who has self-reported a medical condition that actually causes emotional dysregulation when under stress. I was a new patient looking for a new dental home, who visited this practice under recommendation from my mother. They need to receive some education about anxiety disorders--PTSD in particular--and also resist treating a patient like disposable garbage if they see one crying. And who plays loud grunge rock at 7:30 a.m. for their nervous dental patients? Most people seeking dental care are looking for an environment that is compassionate, welcoming and professional. I was horrified by this doctor. I hear his wife is a sweetheart... but I don't think she has any control over her husband or the way he treats their patients. He is super rude and seems to only care about himself. The final weird thing was receiving a THANK YOU card telling me "welcome!" as a new patient. Yikes. I was a client at one of the large "affordable chains" for a long time. After a 2nd redo of a root canal I made a switch and started coming to Legacy Ridge Dentistry. It's now been a few years and I've been very happy with my choice. I've had a good amount of work done there. Fillings, crowns, and regular cleanings. In all cases the experience and the results have left me happy. I finally decided to write this long overdue revue after the significant "project" of fixing and improving the look of my front teeth. This was a big decision and I'm extremely pleased with the result. I won't claim that a dentist chair is the greatest place on earth. That said, I highly recommend Legacy Ridge Dentistry. Dr. Brotherton (both of them) are fantastic. I was an early patient to this new practice. They are prompt, courteous and professional. I've had an emergency in which they fitted me in. I've had standard check ups and cleanings. My gent had his cleaning and check up through comfort dental and they took 20 minutes with him. I got an hours time, a thorough check up, an awesome cleaning, my teeth feel awesome. Top of the line chairs, equipment, and everyone is fantastic with how often they change gloves. I feel clean!!!! Dr. Brotherton ( male) is so cocky and full of himself it's unreal. Yet his wife is so pleasant! He is so condescending to staff and patients. I overheard a phone conversation with an upset customer and he was rolling his eyes like a 16 year old girl when talking to her! I agree with what others say that they quote one price and later it's a higher price! If I tried to do that to my customers it wouldn't fly! read more

I started going to this practice when they first opened and like other reviewers, was initially impressed with appearance of the office. After that, totally went down hill. I was told I was an "unreliable patient" as I had to cancel an appointment and the woman I spoke to when I canceled, apparently didn't actually cancel my appointment. They wanted to charge me $20 to re-schedule when I called to re-schedule. I tried to explain I was under the impression I had canceled, which lead to a verbal altercation with the office manager who I finally just asked to send me my dental records.........a month later, I still had not heard a thing back from their office. I followed up with emails and phone calls, and finally she sent me my records so I could go to another office after I called and threatened to report their office to my insurance. It takes you a month to respond to an email but I am the one who never canceled an appointment??? Obviously, I will not be returning. They are clearly all about making money, however they can. I would also add that I did request to speak to the owner about all of this since I was clearly getting no where with the office manager, and never got a call! read more

I cannot recommend this dental office. My daughter and I had some work done when they first opened and although the reception staff and hygienists are very pleasant, the dental work is substandard. My daughter and I both had to have repairs to fillings done by Dr Brotherton and now I have just learned that I need to replace a crown that is only a few years old because it was not properly seated by Dr. Brotherton. That is a 2K expense that is totally unnecessary and unacceptable. I really feel the Dr. Is so arrogant, he is careless. Neither my daughter or I will return. read more

This is the only dentist I've been to since moving to Colorado. All previous visits have been pleasant. Dr. Nolan was nice and honest. I had some issues with lack of at home dental care that resulted in quite a few visits in sequence and all went fine. At my last visit, I was treated by Dr. Jamie, and was treated very poorly by her, and the front desk crew. Dr. Jamie blatantly ignored me when I asked her not to call me by my full name numerous times. The front desk crew got an attitude when I asked them to send me the bill for the service. They then called me two days later while I was at work and demanded I pay the bill over the phone. I called on a day when I was told the office manager would be on to inform them of the poor service from the desk team, and was hung up on promptly upon asking to speak to the supervisor. Not sure what happened in between one visit to the next that would cause the treatment from the team to change so drastically, but I will definitely be finding another office if it happens again. read more

This dentist suggested several needed procedures that were not necessary. I went to another dentist and got completely different recommendations. He wouldn't do a simple cleaning, because he said I needed a much more expensive and invasive cleaning, which was not correct. I needed two crowns, which was not correct. Told me my teeth would be falling out soon if I didn't get all this work done. My NEW dentist cleaned my teeth, suggested I get the more in depth cleaning soon. Filled a missing cavity that "could only be fixed with a crown". Also he told my son he need his wisdom teeth removed. NEW dentist said they were fine and surgery was not necessary. Stay away from this hack, he is out to rip off insurance companies. read more

Dr. Nolan Brotherton is the best dentist I have ever had, and now half of my extended family goes to see him. He is very friendly and humble, he always stops to say hi to me even if I am only in for a cleaning. You can hear him banter and joke with his staff all the time, and when his receptionist had a baby, he had cards made up and sent out to patients with photos, because he treats them life family. He is a quality-conscious dentist; it's true he recommends more expensive things sometimes, but that's because he wants to be SURE things are done right, not just fill a questionable cavity and hope for the best. But when my father got a crown that broke 6 months later, Dr. Brotherton fixed it at no cost, saying it was his fault and that shouldn't happen. And if all of this doesn't convince you to see him, let me share this; when he heard that my grandfather was living a few miles up the road in hospice care with severe dementia and saying his mouth hurt, Dr. Brotherton swung by one day to check out his teeth, at no charge. How many medical professionals do house calls for less than a few hundred bucks, much less for free? Seriously, go here, they are awesome. read more
