After doing my research, I thought this was the perfect place to receive alternations for my wedding dress. Prior to the appointment, I sent an email letting them know I hadn't received my dress yet but would like to use them for dress alternations. They proceeded with asking me when I would be the earliest I can come in. So they booked me in the very next week. I was super excited and was kinda shocked I didn't need to have my dress on hand. I should've taken that as a red flag. April 13th @ 10am I went to the shop and was greeted by a gentleman. He already seemed to be annoyed when he saw me right off the bat. He asked me about my appointment and then, with a blank expression, said, "You can put the dress on now." He didn't offer a private room or to maybe go anywhere other than the foyer by the front door. Keep in mind I've never been to this place, and I said "I don't have the dress on hand," and he replied, throwing his hands in the air, saying, "Well, then what are we gonna do?!" At this moment, I'm trying not to cry because I never experienced this before, and not to mention I'm a first-time bride, so I don't know everything. I proceeded to tell him via email they never specify if I needed the dress or not. That's when he's tone-lighted and was less harsh, and he then told me they go though a third party for emails they receive. The lady who I spoke to very briefly as I was leaving seem more approachable than the gentleman, so I appreciate that, BUT I left that shopping in tears and I felt so small. During this time it's supposed to be exciting for a first-time bride but today was NOT the case. So I hope next time you can extend a little bit of patience, understanding, and compassion to the next bride. Also maybe considering updating your third-party email so others don't get confused and then later on belittled because they didn't know any better. read more

We had a very frustrating experience with this tailor overall. And would not recommend them. The pricing alone was shocking-- it ended up costing more than the dress itself. For the level of cost, I expected excellent results, but unfortunately that was not the case. It took multiple return visit to get the alterations right. Each time there were still issues with fit which made the whole process stressful and time consuming-consuming. Even worse, one of the bridesmaids in our group had such a poor result that she ended up going to a completely different tailor to fix the mistakes. That alone says a lot of the level of workmanship. Overall between the high prices, repeated visits, and inconsistent results, this was a disappointing experience and do not recommend. read more

I had the best experience here! They were so amazing and made my dress fit me perfectly. Before my first appointment they were super communicative and gave me estimates of different services so I could get an idea before going for my budget. With my dress specifically I had 3 appointments in total, at my last appointment when I took my dress home of course I tried it on and they were unhappy with one part so they immediately took it in the back to adjust it so I could leave that day with my dress. I would choose someone else to get your alterations done with. The staff here are completely pushy and rude. I brought my wedding dress in to be hemmed bustled and brought in as it was ordered too big. They brought only the outside layer of my dress. The interior layers were not brought in. The dress did not fit correctly on my hips or sit correctly on my body. I realized this when I was taking my bridal portraits and was in the dress for an hour and a half that my hip started killing me as the dress was heavy on my hips because it wasn't done correctly. When I called to talk to Legacy Taylor about the situation after I paid over $900 to get my alterations done, they pushed me off and were completely rude. I now have to go to a different tailor and spend more money to get the waist actually brought in correctly. I am now short on time and hope that I am able to get it fixed in time. I would choose anywhere else. They are not helpful. And anytime you mention a problem they talk over you and do not allow you to assess the actual wedding dress when you're in the appointment. It feels like they are on top of you the whole time. read more

This place is amazing, I waited till last minute to find a prom dress for my senior year. I went to terry costas and the one dress I fell in love with they didn't have my size in. I live 4 hours away from Dallas and don't have an alteration store where I live. I went to see if legacy could do it and I pick it up this next Thursday (this is on a Saturday). I explained my prom is next weekend and asked if there's anyway it could be done quicker. They surprisingly got my dress done in the span of 3 hours with there being TONS of other dresses there. This is an amazing company and with how much needed to be taken off on the dress they charged way less than I thought they would. This company is amazing, super kind, and friendly! Just to give a little back story I originally got alterations done at the "legacy tailor" in the Plano location to years ago. I had to postpone my wedding due to Covid and an unexpected pregnancy almost 2 weeks ago. I called Legacy Tailor and the owner answered the phone. I explained my situation and told him that I was having a destination wedding, and was leaving in less than six weeks. He told me about the new Legacy tailor located in Dallas. This business is located inside a cleaners. Upon arrival I was immediately greeted by Luis. Hands-down Luis has shown me some of the best hospitality and service that I have ever received!! I was so distraught initially thinking that I was going to have to buy fabric due to my dress not feel giving birth. Luis went out his way to look at the dress and told me no worries he would make it work. If I had to recommend any Taylor within the DFW area on I would 100% recommend this location!!
